Lilith
I scurried out of his territory without looking back.
Nowhere came into my mind. I kept running like I had seen a ghost.
I found myself at the foot of the club that Daphne worked it.
Heaving a deep sigh, I walked into it, avoiding the secluded parts to stay away from those horny bastards.
Asking around, I took the elevator that took me to the floor where Daphne was working.
“Hy,” I waved, masking my expression as my jaws still hurt.
There was no way I would let Alpha Casper see me this way. All hell would let loose if he found out that I got beaten by a man. But not only would he deal with Ricky and his gang, but he would get mad at me for keeping such a secret from him. Especially when he was always ready to help me out of my financial crises.
“Lilith!” Daphne’s voice resounded in my ears, making me fling.
I jerked back, scrunching up my face in displeasure before cocking my head to meet hers.
“I’ve been calling you, but you seem lost. Are you alright?” She asked, affection washed upon hee face as she dropped her hand on my shoulder tenderly.
I looked away, shaking my head to allow my hair fall over my face to hide my red cheeks.
“I am fine,” I grumbled, stifling a groan when her fingers brushed over my inflamed cheek.
Water gathered in my eye but I blinked them back quickly.
“Your face looks a bit swollen.” Her head titled slightly to observe but I covered it with my hair.
“I probably added weight.” I gritted in between my teeth.
Thanks to the clolourful dim light that splashed all over us, hiding my face.
Impatientky, I pulled her closer, almost whispering. “I need your help, Daphne.”
“Is it about the $20k for the hospital bills?”
“No. I cleared it. I need $5, 500 in 4 days or I’m dead!” I gritted my teeth, emplasizing on the last word.
“Woah, slow down. What do you mean by dead? You are not joking, are you?” She asked, her eye flickered, trying to read my expression.
She was taken aback by shock on how desperate I looked before her mouth fell open. “Oh my goodness, you are not joking,” she gasped, pulling me into the dressing room.
“What happened?” She whispered, locking the door behind her before grabbing a stool.
“I got involved in a dirty deal with some bad guys and they are after me,” I muttered sadly, sinking into the chair.
“You got involved with some bad guys? How? It doesn’t make sense because you’ve never mingled with any bad guy or done anything wrong. As a matter of fact, I can swear on my life that you are still a virgin. That’s how demure you are,” she half-yelled, fixing her doubtful gaze on me like I had grown 2 heads.
A wave of embarrassment crash over me as the passionate night between Alpha Casper and I flashed across my memory, leaving my cheeks burning red.
I debated whether to tell Daphne or not because I was unaware of how she would react.
“I’m not a virgin anymore, but that is not the reason I’m here. Please, don’t start with the questions, I don’t want to talk about it,” I shushed her the moment I noticed her face grow wild in shock.
“Were you raped?”
“No, it was completely consensual. Can we go back to the reason I came here?”
“Fine!” She gritted, shoving a displeased look at my face, indicating how our conversation wasn’t over.
“I need your help, Daphne. I lent somw money from some random strangers that turns out they were bad guys, but u haven’t cleared my debt. The longer I wait, the longer the delay fee accumulates. And not only that, my mother and my sister’s life is in danger.” I wailed. His threats echoing in my memory, resurrecting my fear.
“That’s terrible. But this is a wrong time. I just paid my tuition and I’ve got nothing left. The customers are just wack these days, they don’t even leave a nice tip unlike before,” her voice dragged as she let out a sad sigh.
My life flashed before my eyes and my heart was almost ripped apart by fear as Ricky’s threats lingered in my head.
The hate in his voice.
The deadly glare in his eyes.
The terrifying aura that oozed out of him.
And the painful jabs of his blows that was launched at my face.
It haunted me, reminding me of the dangers of disobeying his orders.
No!
I didn’t want to go through that horrifying moment again.
I had to get his money by any means.
I had to save my sister and mother from the monster that was about to charge at them unaware.
“You got into college?” I asked?
“Yes. I forgot to tell you. I’ve been occupied with a lot of things…” I rushed to meet her, engulfing her in a warm embrace before pulling away.
I was glad Daphne was taking her education serious again.
“You don’t expect me to work as a waitress forever. When I’m done with college, I’ll work in respectable places,” she rolled her eyes with scorn.
“Congratulations,” I mouthed, but my voice dropped as Ricky’s warning rang furiously in my head again.
Fear clogged my lungs, making it difficult to breath and my face grew ashen.
Goosebumps carpeted my body as I felt his familiar aura blasting me.
I had to pay him before he goes on a killing spree.
“Lilith?” Daphne’s voice jerked me from my deep thoughts.
“You seem lost and afraid. Is it about the bad guy and the unpaid debt?”
I nodded desperately.
“Well, I know how you can clear this debt in 4 days,” she said confidently, looking me dead in the eyes.
“How?”
“There is a site that provides clients that pays you for every exclusive post you send to them,” she started and my mind wandered to our last conversation.
“Exclusive?”
“Yes, if they find you charming, they spend more on you so that you can satisfy them by selling your body to them. Do whatever they want. The reward is handsome, Lily, think about it.”
Surprise struck me hard as my mouth fell open. “You want me to venture into onlyfans? To sell my nudes?!”
