She’s stronger

The moment our Bunny heard our call, she turned her focus on us, causing us to freeze as we stared into her eyes that were as black as the night, like a bottomless void. She threw Devon away like he was a doll and turned to face us, with her lips pulled up in a snarl.
“Bunny?” We took cautious steps towards her, ignoring Devon, who was rubbing his neck, and coughing. “What’s wrong with you?” I asked, lifting my right hand towards her, only to be startled when she attacked me.
I tried to defend myself, but she was too fast. She delivered a series of swift punches and kicks, each one landing with a precision that stunned me. Bella had never been this violent. Not only that, but she had never learned to fight.
Letting out a gasp, I stumbled backwards, trying to create some distance between us, but she was relentless. Our Bunny was like a new person. With her claws extended and her fangs down. Though she wasn’t in a partial shift, it felt as if she was.
Blue attempted to intervene, but she took him down with a perfectly executed roundhouse kick. He crashed to the ground, stunned and disoriented. We didn’t even know what to make out of whatever was happening.
It felt like we were watching a movie we were forced to be a part of. Groaning, I got to my feet, calling her name as I tried to get to her, to make her remember us, but I didn’t even get the time to speak a word before I felt myself getting lifted from the ground.
She didn’t touch me. All she gave was a dark look, and that was enough for her. I strove against the hold, but she was stronger. Whatever was happening to our mate was something none of us could control.
“Bunny!” I screamed her name when I felt something like a hand wrap around my back. I struggled, but it was no use. I couldn’t even use my powers because it felt like she created a magic block.
“What’s going on?!” Blue yelled at Devon, who was already getting to his feet. “What did you do to her?!”
“Nothing. I only tried to get her to merge her powers! I didn’t know it would be disastrous. Mine wasn’t like this when I did it!”
“Then do something! Use your witch powers before she kills Fred!”
“I can’t! She blocked my powers!” Devon argued.
Stars danced around in my eyes and I knew I was almost there. However, before they could happen, I felt myself being thrown to the ground as she turned to Blue.
The fall knocked the air out of my lungs as my back collided with the hard ground. I winced from pain, rubbing my back as I watched them. I couldn’t even stand. Breathing was work on its own.
While she faced Blue, taking threatening steps towards him, Devon, who was still rubbing his neck, tried to sneak up behind her, but she sensed his presence and spun around, delivering a rapid elbow to his stomach. He doubled over, gasping for breath.
I watched in awe as she took down my twin and the witch, her movements swift and deadly. She was a true warrior, a force to be reckoned with. Her physical strength combined with her witch powers made it impossible for any of them to fight against. Her hair was in all places. With the air blowing on it, she looked like a vengeful angel, with the way her eyes narrowed as she focused on me.
Her black eyes stared right at me as she gave me a sadistic grin. “You are next.” Her voice was deep. It didn’t sound like the normal one we were used to.
“Bunny, stop!” I cried out, holding up my hands in surrender as she stalked over to me, with her lips pulled up in a smirk. “Please, just stop!”
But she didn’t hear me. She kept coming, her eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. I knew I was in grave danger, and I didn’t know how to defend myself.
Just as she was about to deliver the final blow, she halted, her eyes flashing with a momentary flicker of recognition. And at that moment, I saw a glimmer of hope.
“Fre… Fred?” She blinked. Just for a minute, I saw her blue irises before it gradually started changing to –
Devon hit her on the back before her eyes could change completely, sending her sprawling limp on my body. I collapsed at the feel of her weight on me as I glanced up at Devon with my eyes narrowed.
Funny how I was angry at him for hitting her when she was a few minutes ago, ready to kill all of us. I knew, just like they did, that she wasn’t even aware she did that. Her powers were controlling her thoughts.
“I had to do that, else she would have killed us all.” He fell back on the ground, heaving a breath as I tried to rise, with my Bunny in my arms.
Blue shot up from the ground, wincing as he came over to where I was. “What do you think happened? Could it be that her powers overwhelmed her?”
“Probably.” I looked down at our mate, who was lying peacefully in my arms and a small smile broke out on my face. “Da Ankora was right. Our Bunny is stronger than we are.”
“You are right.” Blue removed strays of hair from her face as he leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. “I just hope we don’t face her off in combat soon. I don’t want to meet my maker just yet.”

I carried our mate back to the room as Devon went to work. As a witch, healing himself wasn’t that difficult. He healed himself faster than our wolves healed us. By the time we were strong enough, he was already busy working his magic on our mate.
“I don’t know if this will serve, but there’s something that will work perfectly. It will help her spirit calm down,” he spoke up after a few minutes of concentration.
“What’s that? How can we get it?”
“It’s a leaf that grows only on Earth. You will have to return there to get it.”
