Seeing Darnell’s complacency, Jett and the others were furious and wanted to beat Darnell to death.
“I’m sorry.”
Victoria held back her anger and twitched the corners of her mouth. “Six thousand is a mistake. How about we give you a discount, six hundred, and charge you five hundred?”
Darnell raised his eyebrows. “We came to the restaurant to eat. Three drunkards broke in and hit people, and you charge five hundred?”
“Three hundred then. How about that?”
“We were frightened, and our meals were ruined, yet you still charge three hundred?”
“Fine, all on the house.”
“They broke in, hit and threatened people, and you intended to extort me. Can a free meal make up for it?”
“Okay, we will compensate you five hundred. How about that?”
Darnell sneered, “Don’t forget about seven cockroaches. Five hundred? I’ll give you five hundred, and you eat them.”
Jett snapped, “Don’t push your luck.”
Victoria stopped Jett and stared at Darnell angrily. “What exactly do you want?”
Darnell shrugged. “I don’t want anything. Either you eat the seven cockroaches, or you buy them back with money.”
He pointed at the seven cockroaches on the table. “One thousand for each.”
“You!”
Victoria was seething with anger. This rascal not only ate and drank for free but also extorted her for seven thousand. She thought she was already very heartless, selling stale food to make more money and intentionally deducting the wages of Westergold employees.
However, Darnell was far more shameless.
She finally held back her anger. “Don’t go too far.”
Jett and the others also got up, clenching their fists. “You are getting too carried away.”
Several waiters also rolled up their sleeves, and some even took out wooden sticks, ready to fight Darnell.
Victoria threatened coldly, “Take five hundred and get out of here. Otherwise, if it really starts, you and these ladies will definitely not get a good deal.”
“Do you think you can fight your way out while protecting the three of them?”
Casey’s mouth corner tilted. “If you dare to touch us, I will shout indecency.”
Bailee corrected, “No, it’s to shout that Baycliff men bully Westergold women.”
Shayla smiled and added, “I have taken a lot of pictures, showing you bullying us.”
“As long as I press my finger and send it out, the restaurant will be smashed beyond recognition in ten minutes.”
The three women showed their unyielding style, and Victoria’s face was as gloomy as it could be.
Jett spewed a mouthful of alcohol when he threatened, “As long as we knock you down and smash your phones, no one will ever know the truth here.”
Reece also waved his fist and threatened Casey and the other three women. “If you provoke me, there will be consequences!”
His gaze was fierce and aggressive as he scrutinized Shayla and the others. His cheeks flushed, and his breathing became rapid.
These three girls were tall, beautiful, and fierce, like three flowers about to bloom, beautiful and attractive.
Especially when they pouted and fought back, their coquettish charm was enticing.
Reece and the others surged with the desire to conquer, and they wanted to pounce on them.
“Who will come up first?”
Darnell didn’t waste words, took a spoon, and snapped it directly, causing Jett and the others’ momentum instantly to vanish.
Several waiters with fierce eyebrows also suck in a startled breath.
Darnell’s strength was so domineering! If he could break a spoon with bare hands, he could easily break a finger!
“Today, I admit defeat.”
Victoria’s eyes were sharp, and her whole body exuded a murderous aura, but soon she regained her composure, letting someone bring seven thousand dollars.
She slapped the money on the table. “Now, leave!”
“Remember next time when you extort, don’t try it on me.”
Darnell picked up the bills and checked them against the light to verify their authenticity. “Otherwise, you will all die.”
Jett was furious, wanting to fight but was deterred by the broken spoon, so he could only yell, “What’s the need to check this money? Just take the money and get lost.”
Having been extorted for seven thousand dollars and being inspected for counterfeit bills on the spot was extremely humiliating. Jett and his group were very angry.
“You kind are always cunning. I have to be careful.”
Darnell pocketed the checked bills, his smile bright. “Alright, this time, I’ll, let it go. See you around.”
He pinched out a hundred dollars and inserted it into Victoria’s clothes. “You have a striking look. Consider this a tip.”
Jett and his group were so angry they jumped up.
Victoria’s face turned green as well, and she coldly said, “Get out.”
Darnell smiled, “As I said earlier, you have big boobs, but they will lead to shortness of breath and frequent dizziness. According to my experience, you’ll face a disaster soon. If managed well, you might get through it. If not, you might get hurt or die”
“But if you invite me for meals and drop your hostility towards me, you’ll be fine.”
Hearing this, Victoria was stunned. To others, Darnell’s words seemed like nonsense, but to her, they hit the mark.
She had indeed been experiencing shortness of breath, dizziness, and even heartache recently, but there was nothing unusual about her test results.
Victoria tried to discern something from Darnell’s face but found nothing. That handsome face always maintained a cynical demeanor.
Reece and the others thought Darnell was crazy and drove him and the three women out.
“These cockroaches are fake.”
At that moment, Jett suddenly noticed something off about the cockroaches. He picked one up to examine it, tested the texture, and then happily said,
“These are carved from rye bread.”
To confirm his judgment, he bit into it in his drunken state and excitedly confirmed, “It’s really rye bread.”
“This one too. And this one… Victoria, they’re all bread. How dare this bastard fool us with fake cockroaches?”
As Victoria and Reece were slightly stunned, Jett picked up the seventh one and took a fierce bite. “This one is also…”
His movements suddenly halted, his smile froze, and he was completely motionless.
“This one is a real cockroach!”
Darnell laughed, left with Casey and the other two, leaving behind the sound of Jett retching.
Reece and the others were furious, grabbing chairs to chase after Darnell, but the sound of police sirens from the door made them instinctively retreat.
“What a jerk!”
Victoria clenched her fists, her pretty face cold, and with a flick of her left hand, a barely perceptible glint flashed and disappeared.
In the narrow gap of the tatami, three menacing darts were embedded.
