The motorcycle sped up a dozen steps, turned, and rushed towards another set of stairs.
After breaking through the encirclement, Darnell maneuvered the motorcycle over steps and rough roads, shouting to Tia, who was holding onto him, “This is their turf. The main roads are definitely guarded. We have to escape through the side streets.”
Tia didn’t argue, and she couldn’t. Not only was she unfamiliar with the terrain, but the bumpy ride also made it hard for her to speak. Every time she tried to say something, the motorcycle’s jolts swallowed her words, so she stayed silent.
Her body kept bumping into Darnell’s back, making her feel awkward because it was her most sensitive area.
Five minutes later, Darnell burst out of a large car repair area and risked being chased by traffic police as he roared onto a side road leading home.
“Tia, I saved you today. You owe me one,” he said after confirming they were safe and slowing down, reverting to his usual carefree self. “Remember to repay me someday.”
Tia, aching all over, felt a surge of anger and snapped, “Darnell, can you be any more shameless?”
“You clearly used me to deal with those thugs and escape. Now you’re saying you saved me? How can you be so shameless?”
She was usually cold and indifferent but always lost her head when facing this scoundrel.
Darnell gently turned the handlebars. “I told you we would settle our scores later, but you wouldn’t listen and kept pestering me. How is that me using you?”
“Besides, don’t forget that when those thugs appeared, I stood in front of you and told them not to harm you.”
“Only when I saw they had more people did I decide to run. And I called you to run with me.”
“How can you say I’m shameless?”
Furious, Tia raised her hand, ready to hit him. “Smooth talker!”
Before Tia’s hand could hit Darnell’s back, the motorcycle suddenly jerked forward a few meters. Tia lost her balance and missed her strike.
Her ample bosom pressed against Darnell’s back, making him yelp in pain.
Tia felt embarrassed.
“Hold on to me,” Darnell said as he enjoyed the sensation behind him. “This motorcycle has some issues. If you don’t hold on tight, you’ll get thrown off.”
The bike jerked again, causing Tia to bump into Darnell once more. He yelped again.
Tia was furious and embarrassed. “I’m not even yelling! Why are you yelping?”
Darnell looked aggrieved. “It hurts.”
“Hurts my foot!”
Tia almost lost it. She then noticed Darnell’s left hand.
“Darnell, if you keep braking on purpose, I’ll chop off your hand.”
She had figured out his trick. There was nothing wrong with the motorcycle. Darnell was braking on purpose to make her bump into his back.
Tia’s teeth gnashed in anger at this audacious scoundrel.
“Let go of the brake and drive properly!” she snarled.
Darnell sighed theatrically, “There’s a downhill ahead. Not braking would be suicidal.”
Before he finished speaking, Darnell braked again, causing Tia’s chest to collide with his back once more.
“Ouch!”
The motorcycle jerked several more times. Darnell yelped each time.
Tia wanted to strangle him but saw the downhill ahead and feared they might crash if she attacked him now. She had no choice but to endure it while feeling both shame and anger at her body’s reaction.
Somehow, her ample chest had become firm and sensitive, sending waves of pleasure through her body.
“Stop at the next intersection,” she ordered as they descended the hill and drove another fifty meters. Just as she was about to demand to get off the motorcycle, Darnell suddenly asked,
“Tia, I heard you’re from the Phoenix. Are there many girls there? Are they pretty?”
Tia’s face turned cold. “Why do you ask?”
Darnell clicked his tongue. “Relax, I’m not interested in military secrets. I’m just curious about your friends there. Are they as beautiful as you?”
“If so, maybe I’ll apply to be an instructor at your unit someday, so we can go on field exercises together.”
Field exercises? Tia knew he meant something lewd and snapped angrily, “Scoundrel.”
Darnell exaggeratedly clutched his chest. “Wow, you remind me of my girlfriend in high school.”
Tia was taken aback. “Your girlfriend?”
Darnell slowed down the motorcycle and chuckled, “Yeah, last month I got a hooker, only to find out it was her.”
“When she saw me, she cursed, ‘Good thing we broke up back then. I can’t believe you’re renting a call girl! You’re such a scoundrel!'”
Tia almost slapped him right then.
She then spoke coldly, “Let me off.”
For some reason, smelling Darnell’s masculine scent and their constant physical contact made Tia feel increasingly sensitive and flushed. She feared that if they stayed close any longer, she might lose control.
“Why? This isn’t my motorcycle, and I’m not paying for gas either. I can take you home.” Darnell suggested as he stopped at an intersection and looked at Tia longingly.
“If you’re feeling shy about it, how about inviting me for dinner or a few glasses of wine? Maybe we can enjoy the moon together.”
Tia jumped off the motorcycle and coldly retorted, “Why not invite yourself into my bed too?”
Darnell clutched his chest dramatically. “That wouldn’t be proper. We’re not that close yet. How about watching a meteor shower first?”
Tia wanted to explode but held back in the end. She turned away proudly and started walking off.
“Wait a moment.” Darnell quickly grabbed her hands and saw that her knuckles were swollen from fighting Callum earlier.
It showed how hard Callum’s body must have been.
“What do you want?” Tia glared at him.
“Relax. I’m not taking advantage of you,” he said seriously as he pulled out a small bottle from his pocket. He poured out a tiny black pill which he crushed into powder between his fingers.
He then applied the powder to Tia’s knuckles with quick motions.
At first, Tia resisted but hesitated when she saw his rare serious expression. Soon, she felt warmth spreading through her joints along with a faint medicinal scent.
The pain subsided significantly and the swelling visibly reduced by the time he finished rubbing it in. She felt she was healed when he stopped.
“What is this stuff?” she asked in surprise.
“A treasure,” Darnell replied as he withdrew his hands. “A cure for pain relief and blood circulation enhancement, only for special people like you.” He paused before adding mischievously,
“It also has breast-enhancing properties. Do you want me to…”
“Shut up!”
Seeing his playful demeanor made Tia frown deeply before turning away once more.
Darnell waved at her retreating figure. “Tia! Aren’t we going to exchange numbers?”
“David is looking for people to deal with you.” She suddenly stopped walking and looked back at him with concern. “Be careful.”
