“Anderson.” I scoffed, giving a little smile, and walked up to him. “Why are you here?”
He’s grown into a mature man. He is still as handsome as always.
His hair was a little messy and short.
He cut his hair short.
Wow!
He ran over to me and hugged me. “Long time no see! It’s been three fucking years. I miss you so fucking much. I would turn this mansion upside.”
And he wore light blue jeans, a black jacket and a black singlet too.
He wore snickers and still had those tattoos on him. I could sense it and he drew a new one in his left hand, too.
The head of a wolf?
“By then, you would be too tired to continue turning it upside. The mansion is as enormous as a mountain.” I joked as I laughed. “Welcome buddy.” I welcomed him and also hugged him back.
He pulled away from me and exclaimed again with laughter. “How did you get blood on your hands? You are out of prison and you’ve already gotten blood into your hands.”
I looked at my hand. “Oh! Guess I punched him too hard.” I said my thoughts out loud. I didn’t know when his blood touched my hand.
“Jeez.” Anderson slammed his palm on his forehead. “You are kidding me, right?!”
“Anything you say.” I shrugged my shoulders and ignored my bloody hand. “So, how did you know I was out?”
“You should know your pack by now. Your pack spread rumors like bees. That’s how I heard.”
I sighed. “How’s Ash doing?”
Anderson furrowed his brows and avoided my gaze.
“Let’s go visit him.” I moved past him.
“His family shifted him to a facility.” He confessed, and I stopped in my tracks. My eyes widened at what he had just said.
“To a facility?” I questioned and observed him.
“Yes.” He answered. “It’s been three years, and he is still asleep.” He explained everything to me. “His parents are tired of waiting around for him to wake up. Someone is gonna take his place as the heir to the pack.”
“And who will that be?”
“I heard it might be Violet, Storm or …”
I blinked rapidly to process my thoughts on what Anderson had just said to me.
I can’t believe what is happening right now.
They fucking want to throw Ash away and put someone else in his place, because he isn’t waking the hell up.
What sort of bastards are these people to throw away their son because he is not waking up?
“His father would make the announcements on the 19th day of this month.”
“What the fuck!” I reacted.
“Yeah, it is getting messy, Jinx.”
“Who the hell died and made him king?” I grunted and clenched both of my fists.
“What are you talking about?”
“Griffin.”
“Who the hell is Griffin?” He slightly tilted his head to the left side.
“It could be Griffin, Iris or Coral Snake.” I uttered. “These three alphas wouldn’t turn their back against Ash.” I reasoned. “Aren’t they supposed to be helping him or something?!” I muttered under my breath with annoyance.
“They wouldn’t turn their back against Ash. What are you saying? I thought we were the only alphas Ash had. I meant his only friends.”
“Ash has other people we don’t know. We are not the only people he knows.” I explained. “They are the people who connect to Ash weirdly, except for Xander.”
“Xander?” He put his hands up in the air and took a deep breath. “Listen, I don’t understand what you are saying.”
“We’ve never met these people before, but I’ve heard their names.” I walked away from Anderson, but he held my arm.
I was curious about why he was holding my arm.
“Listen, I know you just came back from where you got locked up, but don’t try anything stupid. I may not know what you are talking about, but we’ve got to do something about this. We can’t stand by and let Ash get kicked out and forgotten. We need to avenge him and know the bastard who did such-”
“We will never know the bastard who did such a thing to him. It’s been three fucking years and we’ve never found the culprit. What makes you think we will find him now if we look for him? Someone must have thrown all the evidence into the trash can before we get the chance.”
“Jinx.” he muttered and shut his eyes in anger. “I know how furious you are. I am mad too, at everyone for not putting up enough effort for Ash. His parents want him out of the way because they think he is useless to them. He is not enough for them and I can tell what the hell they are thinking. I can’t keep up with this anymore. We have to do something about this. We can’t let our parents get in our way of freedom.”
“They’ve been rumors lately.” I let out. “People are spreading the word about seeing Ash in their dreams. It’s such a stupid juggled up gossip.”
“I don’t care about what the people are saying. What I’m saying is we should fight for Ash. Let’s find out who is behind this.”
“The culprit who instigated such a terrible injury on Ash isn’t a student from St. Victoria’s Academy.” I revealed.
“Huh! I don’t understand.”
“The alpha who did it is from another clan.”
“From another clan?”
“Who is an expert at digging a werewolves’ eyes from its face?”
“The Wolves Of The Dark Wood Clan.” His eyes broadened in shock.
“They are called Black Wolves.” I rephrased his words. “They are very arrogant, violent and expert at digging out eyes from a werewolves’ face.”
“And they sharpen their claws every two weeks.”
“And it is painful for a werewolf to sharpen their claws.” I explained and walked past him with my hands in my pockets. “It is not common for a werewolf to sharpen their claws because it is dangerous and can reduce our abilities. But they do, and it is part of the rules of their clan to always sharpen their claws, because those claws are their strength. On the night of the full moon, those claws develop strength. It can bring down a tree with a swipe. And other clans fear going to war with them.”
“I don’t understand. They are powerful and in competition with the Blood Moon Clan, aren’t it? Why are they fighting among themselves? I mean, why would they attack Ash when the Silvermist pack is beneath them? They are the first in line. The Blood Moon Clan and the Dark Wood Wolves are the most powerful clan in history. Why would they care about Ash when our pack is beneath them?”
