“You clearly heard me.” He laughed. “I just added a little wolfsbane on his drink. A little one. Just a tiny winy plant.”
“You did what?” I repeated in shock. “WOLFSBANE?!” I almost yelled when I noticed some students staring at us.
I lowered my voice and grabbed his shoulder in order to face me properly. “You could have killed him, Ash. What the actual fuck were you thinking?”
“Nope! I couldn’t have killed him. It was just a tiny leaf. A little plant in his drink.” He grinned. “If I had used the whole blue plant, he would have died in seconds. So, I gave him a little dosage to clear his head.”
“For fuck’s sake, you weren’t clearing his head, Ash. If you had something with him, beat him to a pulp, instead of going through this route. Do you have any idea how dangerous wolfsbane is to us? You know we hate wolfsbane, right? And you used it on a werewolf like you. What if he had died? Do you think it will be untraceable?!”
“My ears are hurting. Stop blubbering and being delusional like my mother.”
“You said what?” I reacted. “Am I being delusional? How could you be so infuriating?”
“Spare the speech, Anderson. He knows it is dangerous.”
We both looked at Jinx, strolling towards us with a wide smile.
“What’s up, guys?” His left hand waved at us.
“Jinx.” We both muttered.
“Why are y’all so fucking surprised that I am back at school?”
We both laughed.
“Nice to see you are back.”
“It’s my pleasure, Ash.” He greeted and faced me.
“Nice to see you, too.” I added, and Jinx nodded his head.
“What happened-oh, I don’t need to ask that, isn’t it?”
“He gave wolfsbane to James.” I informed Jinx, who shrugged his shoulders at me in a nonchalant attitude. “What! You are not gonna say anything about it?!”
“Nope! It isn’t my concern.”
Ash burst out laughing at me, and I frowned and stared at him. “You think this is funny, isn’t it?”
Ash slammed his fists together and sprouted his long, sharp claws. “Now that you are back, Jinx. I can’t wait for us to start from where we left off. This will be fun.”
“Don’t tell me you are doing this in the middle of-”
Jinx threw aside his black bag with an amusingly sneaky manner and also shoveled out his sharp claws.
“I’m loving this,” he signaled me to come to his side. “Let’s see if you can handle the two of us before you fucking think of handling me all by yourself.”
“Hey! I didn’t say I was fighting with you.” I protested.
“Oooh, two against one. That’s more like it. You know, this is hardly fair, but I’m loving this. Get ready for your organs to burst out of your body. This is exciting.” Ash slightly bent forward, raising his claws in a fighting form, ready for attack.
When a teacher got in the middle of them.
“Are the both of you serious, Mr. Ash and Mr. Jinx?”
Jinx and Ash stepped backward with annoyance.
“Get back to class.” She strictly ordered with a harsh tone. “All of you.”
The three of us walked slowly past Mrs. Lucy to our classroom.
“You couldn’t pick the best time to start where you left off. It had to happen in the hallway.” I rolled my eyes nonchalantly with a scoff.
“It would have been fun, though.”
“Yeah, it would have been fucking fun for everyone to see,” Jinx agreed with Ash as he stretched both of his hands up in the air.
“I can’t believe you guys.” I muttered.
“Why don’t we use the toilet first before going to class?”
“Sounds like a good plan.” Ash agreed, and I followed them to the toilet with a long sigh. I knew that disagreeing with them was pointless.
As soon as we got to the toilet, we all washed our hands after easing ourselves and strolled to the water dispenser to get some cold water to drink before we head for class.
“Pretty face, plastic. It’s giving kardashian.”
Jinx and I turned to who Ash was talking to.
It was a young Omega, Avery Snowfall.
She was once in our class. She got demoted to her former class when she reported to the school authorities about Ash bullying her to stupor.
There were also rumors he beat her up and impregnated her, that she had to go for an abortion and surgery because of the terrible injury Ash inflicted on Avery.
“Isn’t that Avery Snowfall?” Jinx muttered under his breath.
“Yeah, she is.” I responded.
“I wonder what you are gonna look like when you shift into your wolf form.” Ash drew closer to Avery, who took a few steps back.
“Please, stay away from me. I don’t want trouble. We are done, remember?”
“You should have an excellent trophy for reporting me to the school authorities.”
Avery folded her arms across her chest and ran past Ash.
Ash quickly grabbed her arm and squeezed it with a slightly clenched jaw. “You know what pisses me off the most?” He looked at Avery with a slight annoyance on his face. “It is when I’m talking to someone and she walks out on me. It pisses the fuck outta me.”
“Ash, you and I have no business together. Let go of me. You’ve done your part and you’ve proven to me what kind of alpha you are. I get it and I have gotten my punishment. Can you let this go now? I don’t want to have anything to do with you.”
“That wouldn’t be possible because we are at the same school together and we are gonna see each other every day, Avery.”
“If you don’t want me to report this to Violet, you better let me go. You’ve ruined me enough.”
Ash let off her for a second. He laughed and in a flash; he pinned her against the wall.
Avery coughed out her saliva, and her eyes popped out in shock and pain.
“You have no right to mention her name.” He tightly pinned his hand on her chest and wouldn’t let go of her. “The next time you mention her name out of your filthy mouth, that day will be your last. If you don’t want me to ruin this plastic face of yours, keep your lips sealed.”
I sort of felt sorry for her. There was nothing I could do about the situation. I can’t defend her because that would be like I’m on her side.
I don’t want to pick sides. I might as well sound like a coward.
