Grace raised her eyebrows when she saw the ringing alarm of someone that wanted to come into her office.
The company was really a big one and a rich one, so everything was really automatic.
Grace had moved to another office, while Alpha Nelson and Sophia shared the joint office. Alpha Nelson had used his own mouthwash to say she was not his wife.
Before she had arrived at the office today, she was shocked to see that everything had been reset.
She could recall the sweet smile of the lad.
“Is that the man you really want for this?” Grace asked immediately; she used the remote to open the door for Cassandra after noticing someone was at the door and had viewed from the CTV television and found out it was Grace.
“Let me breathe, babe.” Cassandra said to Grace, as she inhaled and exhaled rough breaths countless times, she was trying to calm her nerves at first.
What she had heard had really come as a shock to her, for she was not expecting it, not at all.
“Are you okay, love? Not to worry, I will accept the deal with him.” Grace was confused; she really didn’t even understand what the hell was going on and why Cassandra was reacting the way she was.
Cassandra darted her eyes so quickly to Grace, her heart thudding inside her chest so hard, that it was as though she would collapse any minute from then.
“No, I do-” Cassandra wanted to say something, but she found herself stuttering as though she was under pressure.
“Is something wrong? You are acting weird. What the hell did the food say or do to you?” Grace asked and stood up from her office chair, dragging her legs to where Cassandra sat at the front of her desk.
“Nooo! He did nothing; I am okay. I really do know what came over me right now, but I am good.” Cassandra said, and now she played so calm and demure.
Grace was also calm for a moment; even if she knew Cassandra was not really okay, she just had to trust her maybe.
“Just sit; let’s talk.” Cassandra said, Go, Grace, who looked at her with confused and caring eyes.
Confused eye, in the sense that she was confused about everything already.
Caring eyes in the sense that she cares about her and is hoping that she is fine.
“Fine, I will sit.” Grace said when she felt so reluctant to sit and Cassandra had given her an eye, that if she didn’t sit, she wouldn’t say anything.
There was tension in the air, and it was palpable. Immediately Grace sat down; the office was so quiet. Cassandra was still reeling in her thoughts and trying to come up with something she had to say.
“Babes!” Grace called out to Cassandra, who yanked out of her thoughts for the damn second time now.
“Umm…” Cassandra trailed off, not having anything meaningful to say.
“What is going wrong? I have really not seen you acting this way; is everything really alright?” Grace asked Cassandra, her voice laced with a mixture of confusion and a little touch of fear. Her eyes are not leaving that of Cassandra.
Meanwhile, Cassandra couldn’t tell Grace why she had just learned about it; she really wanted the deal that was about to happen between Grace and Alpha Redford to get started.
Now, she believes he was the only one that would be a perfect match for the plan, but damn! THIS same man was the man she had always crushed on but had never seen in real life.
He was really not a social media kind of person, but she had seen him sometimes in the newspaper, online, and this was how she developed interest in a man she had never met, and since then she had been waiting and anticipating meeting him.
Cassandra picked up the courage; she cleared her throat and looked straight into Grace’s eyes.
“Do you love him? Do you have any feelings for him? Cassandra asked, not even mentioning a specific person but him.
Grace’s eyes snapped up in confusion and surprise.
“What are you talking about? What are you referring to?” Grace asked to be sure she was hearing right at first.
“Alpha Nelson! Do you love him?” Cassandra repeated that same question once more.
“I really do, though I-” Grace was not done with what she had to say when Cassandra interrupted her.
“Nooo, say no more, love. Then all you have to do is get ready to accept the deal.” Cassandra said to Grace.
“That is no problem, love; I do accept the deal.” Grace said she really knew what Cassandra was referring to, even if she had not told her.
However, after seeing how stupid Alpha Nelson could be, she decided to do anything to make him jealous. She knew he still had feelings for her, even if she was not sure. But she was ready for both Sophia and Alpha Nelson.
“We will get the file before tomorrow morning, so he could sign it, and you also.” Cassandra announced.
“Sure, love.” Grace said, her face beaming with excitement.
She had really forgotten how the hell she normally does speak to Alpha Redford at their first and second meetings. She hated him so much.
“I am so happy you agreed with this, but you seriously have to act very well! He must not find out it is a deal! You must be ready to act so much in love with Alpha Redford and everything you both have is real.
Cassandra was saying this so seriously to Grace, but deep down she was really so heartbroken maybe.
She could remember the smile and the joy he had when Bags had told him she would love him to make a deal with Grace.
Cassandra knew Alpha Redford was in love with Grace; it was really so obvious due to the way he had acted.
Now, she really had no idea if she had a chance to get his love again. She really didn’t know how she would feel seeing Grace and Alpha Nelson flickering at each other, but she really has to do this for her best friend.
If not, they would have to get another man, but no, Alpha Redford looks like the perfect one for what they wanted.
“You need to go to his office! You both had to make a conclusion at first.” Cassandra said to Grace.
“What? I thought you both had made all the necessary conclusions. Grave asked if she really didn’t want to go to the Alpha I office.
Even if she had accepted the deal already, she was also adamant, though she had no option.
“We did, but you need to go to his office for some final conclusion.” Cassandra said and smiled at Grace with an assuring smile that everything will be fine.
“Okay! I will. I will just finish up with this.” Grace said she was trying to gather enough courage to go to Alpha Nelson’s office.
And damn! She was thinking of giving him a deep kiss already.
“I guess that wouldn’t be so bad.” Grace murmured to herself as she typed on her laptop.
