What nonsense? Who the hell does he think he is, to tell her so. If other women never tell him no, it implies that he’d been involved with a lot of them then.

He gnashed his teeth and made a fist. How dare this woman talk so arrogantly to him? Arrogant women are the sweetest ones to fuck. He would drill them to the extent they would pass out.
And he must do the same to this feisty woman. She thinks she’s so mighty impenetrable to him. He would remember this day. He would keep it on record and she would beg him when the times come.

In New Jersey, Adrian received an acknowledged copy of the divorce paper. He waited and got it. He decided to take his mind off Aurora. Eventually, everything is settled.
Without informing his dad, he started pulling strings. He was no longer married to his mom. He could choose not to help out and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
His Mom was allowed access to medical care but after it, she returned back to prison. Adrian didn’t stop checking on his mom. He hopes she gets pardoned someday.
While Adrian was getting things done for his mom, Luna was all excited when she got informed of the compensation that had been offered to her.
She wasn’t a pauper before imprisonment but she’s a super wealthy woman now. She was invited over by Richard’s lawyer. She didn’t know why she was invited initially but when she got there, some documents were presented to her to sign.
She wasn’t expecting this from Richard. He surprised her greatly and minutes later, she got credited millions of dollars along with several properties with it.
She was thrilled. At least, this was a little compensation for her. It cannot totally wipe out the suffering she went through because she loved him, but it brought smiles to her face.
She called Richard up to appreciate him but he was in a meeting. His assistant answered the phone and told her he would return the call when he’s done.
When Richard called back, it was Patrick who answered the phone. He was furious and unhappy that Richard Lester still reached out to his mom.
“I have told you Mr Lester, not to call or reach out to my mom again. Why did you still call?” Patrick demanded.
“It is not in your place to ask me that, Patrick. The relationship I share with your mom has got nothing to do with you at all. We were in love, and in that love, we made you.
Know your boundaries when you are talking to me about your mother. Stay by the sidelines and watch, without a word. Speak only when your opinion is sought. Is that clear? Now give Luna the phone” he instructed.
“You must be daydreaming to think I’ll let you get my mom’s between your fingers and smash her emotions again. Keep dreaming Richard Lester” Patrick declared and hung up.
When Luna returned from the kitchen, she told him there were things they needed to talk about. She didn’t know about the call and Patrick didn’t tell her about it, he’d already deleted the call from the call logs.
“I think we should move in together now. I got a new place that would be suitable for us. So we could move in. Besides, we might be investing more into your partnership with Aurora…” Luna explained.
She skipped the part that she was compensated by Richard Lester and the government authority of New Jersey. If Patrick knows that his father pulled the strings, he might not want to move into the mansion.
Richard gifted her the mansion and it’s so large and spacious. They would get employees and have the house occupied. But Patrick must not know it’s from Richard.
“That sounds interesting. How were you able to get all of these?” Patrick asked, amazed. He was already thinking about getting a penthouse where he could live with his mom henceforth.
He doesn’t want them separated at all. Coming over daily for dinner is not enough. They needed to spend time together.
“While I’ve been away, I had savings and my parents have their properties willed to me. Over time, those assets have really tripled and now that I’m free, I have gone to claim them…” Luna lied.
Her parents really left a few things for her and her savings also increased but those have gone into getting a little apartment, a car, hiring a private detective immediately she regained her freedom that what she had left, could rarely get a spare tyre.
“That’s fine. We could check the apartment out first. I don’t know if it’s better than what I’m planning already. Whichever is better, we go with that” Patrick affirmed.
Two days later, Adrian arrived home at night and asked to speak with his dad privately at the balcony. Grandfather had gone to bed, his tiring bones usually go to bed earlier these days.
“How’s the company doing son? I must commend you that you’re doing a great job, Adrian” Richard stuttered. He goes over the activities, the input and the corresponding amount, the financial strength of the Lester conglomerate and he could only attribute it to a diligent son like Adrian.
“Well, everything is going fine. We’re planning other things, putting things in motion. We hope things get better soon” Adrian replied absent-mindedly.
“I do hope so and really look forward to seeing just what you’re planning coming forth” Richard said and Adrian nodded.
“Dad, I discovered today that the Mansion in the Valley Creek is being owned by someone else” Adrian asked, trying his best to hold back from using the name Luna.
Luna Wesley now owns such massive structures and to know that she’d just moved in with her son surprises him. What exactly is going on?
“Yes. It’s owned by Luna Wesley now. I gifted it to her”Richard replied flippantly. There isn’t anything that is too massive that he cannot give to Luna as it is now.
“Gifted that mansion to Luna? It’s a twin mansion of ours with an identical architectural style” Adrian snapped at his dad. Gifted such structure to his son’s mother?
“Yes, I know that. Is there a problem?” Richard retorted back. What the heck is his business with whoever he decides to give his properties to?
“Yes, there’s a big problem. That mansion was acquired with millions of dollars and I intend to move in there. If you gifted it to Patrick, I won’t raise a brow. But why Luna?” Adrian demanded.
“Why, can’t I give Luna everything I can afford in this life? You can get something else for yourself. As for Patrick, he’s henceforth on par with you and even more.
He is your elder brother and whatever I have is half his own and the other half is your own” Richard declared.
“I am also aware of the withdrawal you made to Luna. What’s going on exactly father? What’s the thing with Luna with so many gifts?” Adrian asked, now he’s getting really upset.
“I don’t owe you an explanation and I think Luna deserves it and more” Richard declared, gulped down the glass of juice he was holding and turned away.
