His lips touched hers. She still didn’t move, he kissed her gently, briefly, intending to end it, but he couldn’t. He kissed her more. And slowly, he felt Luna was responding.
His hands circled around her and moved away from her back to the back of her head as he kissed her more. She kissed him back, and the real fun started.
Luna Wesley knew she was doing what was wrong, but it doesn’t matter to her what is wrong and what was right anymore. However life presents things before her, she would take it.
Wasn’t it wrong when another woman took her man from her? Or was it right that she went through terrible times and years of betrayal and separation from her son?
Everything was wrong. She wants to go with what is wrong at that moment. Being with Richard, having his hands around her, touching and kissing her were things she should never get separated from, but it happened.
She missed him. It’s been a long time. She has his lips again, his body against hers, that charm and sweetness that exudes from him were feelings that cannot be traded for anything.
She kissed him back. She let him invade her lips, taking her lips, tongues tied and that feeling flowed again, that special feeling she used to feel whenever she was with him.
She circled her arms around his neck and kissed him back. It went deeper and more passionate, both taking the other in without reservation. The hunger for more, the desire to make up for time lost.
Their bodies tensed up but still passionately involved in the act of kissing until Luna’s phone ranged, interrupting their moments together. Gently, Richard brought the kiss to a pause, he wished he could continue.
Luna swallowed hard, she gazed at him briefly before going off to pick her phone. As expected, it’s Detective Rodgers. She answered “I’ll be on my way” and hung up.
“I’m leaving now, Richard” she declared, indicating that she wants him to leave. They both pretended as if nothing happened, as if, the kissing was a midsummer’s night dream.
“Wherever you are leaving to, we’re going together besides, we have unfinished business” Richard declared his gaze fixed on her expressionlessly.
“No, I’m going to meet my…” Luna started but paused. There she goes again. Just a kiss, she’d lose her guard to Richard again. She was going to tell him about Rodgers? What is wrong with her, why is she so vulnerable?
“If you’re going to meet Detective Rodgers, let’s do it together. We’ll be looking for our son and more like you, I want to meet him too” Richard declared.
“No, you’re still Anna’s husband,” Luna refused. The thought that she just kissed that woman’s husband, sends fury through her spine. If she could ruin that woman, a million times over, she would do it.
“And you’re still the woman that I love. Don’t think I won’t do anything to help when it comes to my son. I want to be actively involved in finding out where he is” Richard declared, insistently.
Luna’s eyes welled up with tears and she looked away. Because the child is his son, she believes that he would want to meet him too. She didn’t say anything else but let him come along.
Rather than letting her go in her car, Richard refused. He made her drive with him in his car. At intervals, Luna would turn sideways to glance at him and remained still.
Richard felt her agitation and uneasiness and went to get her palm. He held it in his and gave it a soft squeeze. They could have been talking, but the chauffeur and bodyguard were in the car.
Luna glanced at him again and Richard smiled, nodding slightly to assure her that she’s fine with him. Until they arrived at the hotel, Richard didn’t let her hand get off.
****************
In X-city, Adrian arrived at the Blake mansion and was told to wait. They needed to confirm his invitation before he could step in. He came alone, no chauffeur, no bodyguard, just himself.
When he was allowed in, he brought in a lot of play things for Elsie and a bouquet of roses for Aurora. The scent of rose flowers filled the car, as he parked in the parking lot.
When he alighted, a servant came to welcome him and took plenty of toys and play things for Elsie but he refused to release the bouquet of roses to anyone.
When he stepped in, he saw Nancy Blake first, she smiled at him and he went to her, bowing himself before her slightly. He ended up saying hello to everyone in the house except Aurora.
He kept glancing around, with the flower still in his hands, gosh, he’s not used to things like this. Even with his phones, he seldom holds them when Clem is around.
He was still thinking of how he’s going to keep holding the flowers when he heard Else’s little voice as she ran towards him. Adrian’s eyes lit up with excitement and he squatted, with a kneel on the floor as he opened his arms to hold her.
“Uncle Adrian” Elsie chimed and ran towards him. She hugged him, good enough that he had brought himself to her height, but then, he was still way taller than her as he squatted.
“Baby,” Adrian said and hugged her. Nancy looked away. Her eyes were cloudy. She’s his daughter and he now knows. The affection between them. The way they both held each other made her remember her pain at the loss of her supposed baby.
And the day she saw Aurora when her brothers brought her home, her tears that day were similar to the ones threatening to trickle down her cheeks and her feelings that say, would definitely be similar to Adrian’s.
“You brought me plenty of toys, thank you” Elsie said. Her little hands circled around Adrian’s neck. She was smiling. She hugged him and wouldn’t let him go.
“Yeah, they’re all for you baby” Adrian said. He doesn’t want to part with her. She’s his daughter, his blood, his flesh, a miniature of his lady grandma.
He was ready to do anything that Aurora would ask or request for him to do, even if she wants him to walk on hot coals barefooted to earn her forgiveness and come back to him, he’ll do it. He wants her by his side and his daughter.
He closed his eyes briefly and swallowed hard. At that moment, he doesn’t seem to notice the others in the sitting room, except himself and Elsie. He wants them to remain like that forever.
“I love the scent of rose flowers. Did you bring this for me as well?” Elsie requested. The entire sitting room was filled with the sweet smell of roses.
“Hmmm…no. This is for your mommy. Where is she?” Adrian asked, as Elsie pulled away from the hug and inhaled the scent of the rose flowers before responding “She’s in her room”
“Elsie, I have told you to stay away from strangers, right?” Aurora cautioned, standing at the top of the stairs with a frosty gaze at Adrian and her daughter.
