Diana broke the silence first, with her laughter. Raul followed next.
“Raul!” His twin shouted, but dude couldn’t be bothered enough to stop.
“Little Adams? God, Dora, you are so funny.” He said, not stopping to catch a breath.
I liked his addition, so I pretended not to see that he was close to Diana now. I hope the dude wasn’t planning on following through on his mother’s plan though, else this camaraderie would be lost soon.
“How dare you? Who do you think you are? Since last night, you have been…” Noah was saying, when Adam stretched his hand in front of his face, probably telling him to match a brake, because the red faced dude stopped speaking.
However, I decided to finish it, in my own way, with my own ingredients. “Since last night I have been what? Dodging your sexual advances? I don’t get it. You trio haven’t taken rejections before?”
“Okay, that’s it, young woman. I think it’s time you left this place.” That was Timothy. Nice of him to join the party.
“And who are you? You look like a john, and I’m not talking about a name. You know what I mean, john?” I batted my eyelashes at him, sighing in relish when laughter broke out somewhere in the eatery.
I was not sure who had the courage to start it but it was a much needed incentive.
“That’s my brother.” Naomi muttered slowly, speaking up for the first time since the food was brought.
“Well, tell him to butt out then. His input is not needed.” I answered her, not taking my eyes off Timothy.
His nostrils flared, and he stepped forward to-I don’t know, beat me?-when Diana created a visible barricade between us and them.
“Wow, she is feisty! So, Adam had tried to bed her last night?”
“She should be grateful then. I wish I was in her shoes.”
“Right? Well, she is really feisty.”
“Timothy looks like he wants to combust. A john? I would combust if I was the one.”
“What do you think Rachel would do? Would the alliance be cut off?”
“Nah, I don’t think so. She is so in love with Adam. I don’t think she would mind that he is a slut.”
“You are brave, saying that.”
“I wish I could have Dora though. Would she be feisty in bed?”
“Well, it is great to see someone that is not crazy about the triplets.”
“Yeah, really. Watch them acting like spoiled puppies that were denied bones.”
I smiled widely hearing these comments with my finely tuned ears, getting a bit disoriented the next second when Adam’s lips mirrored mine. What was he smiling about?
“Let’s leave. Here reeks of shit.” I said, turning away, not waiting to see the result or implication of his smile.

“Yo girl, you rock. Diana, you didn’t tell me that your cousin wasn’t as boring as the other girls I have come across.” Raul stated, immediately we left the confines of the eatery.
He was holding Eva’s hand by the left, while I took the one by the right.
Diana chuckled. “I meant it to be a surprise.” She winked at me.
I scoffed, a scoff mixed with a little laugh before turning away from them, my eyes stretching to the sky.
“Well, since you are pleased with her output, you would protect her from your sister and her minions, right? I believe that Dora would be in the same class with you.”
“Really? Of course, I will. We are friends now.” Raul answered.
I smiled, finding it funny that I was his friend because I had bashed someone. Does that mean that the dude wasn’t as cool as his exterior had portrayed him to be?
So, I was in the same class with the twins? Well, this would be interesting. I mused, wincing when my stomach rumbled.
“That hungry eh?” Raul asked, smirking at me.
I nodded slowly, wondering how I would eat. I had left Naomi at the eatery with her brother. Knowing her, she would have suggested that we go to her house. Maybe she would have baked cookies for us. Wheew, what to do now?
“Can you wait over there, so that I can go back to the eatery and get something?” Raul asked, and I shook my head. That was like sending him back to the mouth of the lions. Would they accept to even serve him?
He laughed, probably reading my thoughts off my face. “Don’t worry, I got it handled.” He said, before strotting off in the direction of the eatery, having let go of Diana’s hand.
When he left, Diana jumped and clapped her hands. “That was good! You were great! Did you see the looks on their faces! Oh my god!” She screamed, her eyes twinkling with delight so much that I couldn’t stop my lips from stretching to a wide smile.
“I told you you can do it, didn’t I?” She asked, and I nodded, laughing now with her, gesturing with my hand that we take a seat on the stone carved bench, behind a round table that was also stone carved.
Watching her prance and recount the features on the faces of the bullies, I sat down, and rubbed my stomach, as if to calm its rumbling sounds.
“Rachel looked like she was about to have a seizure, you know, when you mentioned that Adam had approached you last night?? …” She laughed, holding her belly when she said that.
“But did he really do that?” Diana asked, stopping for a bit to stare at me.
“Yeah, he did, right before his two brothers joined us. They are so disgusting.” I answered, sure that the disgusted emotion spread on Diana’s face was a mirror of mine.
“We should have stoned them more cakes.” She spoke, dropping on the space beside me, our eyes trained to the entry of the eatery, waiting for Raul to come out with trays of food.
“But do you think the alliance will be called off, you know Rachel..” She asked, as she put her head on my shoulder.
“No, I don’t think so. Your princess is too dumb.”
