As I dashed off to the last place I could think of to check, I wanted to use the car, but something kept pushing me to follow the forest. It was a long way from here to my warehouse.
Uncle Joe had used my warehouse to kidnap my wife. Laughable right? He really is as stupid as my parents said.
I told Griffin where to meet me, but I asked him not to come with all the men he had come with, but only select a few, making sure that they were the best of his men.
“Boss, are you sure you will be fine? It is a long way from here.” Griffin asked, I know he was looking out for me.
I knew that I was willing to die for the safety of Pandora. I did not try to think of all the negative things that could be happening to Pandora.
“Meet me soon. Clear up this place. I want the families of these workers located. I intend to make things right with them.” I said and dashed off into the wild.
As my paws hit the ground in quick soft thuds, my head started banging. Following the path I took in the forest to my warehouse would have taken nothing less than an hour since I was in wolf form. Well, I was at the back of my warehouse, thirty minutes after I left Griffin.
“Moon goddess help me now!” I prayed quietly and snuck into the warehouse, my pistol drawn and loaded.
I wanted to enjoy killing Uncle Joe, he wouldn’t have the joy of dying easily. I will make sure that he begs and wishes for death, but he won’t see. I saw traces of blood on the floor, I also saw Pandora’s bracelet and finally, I saw the blood-stained chair that was in the middle of an empty room that once served as an office.
My mind immediately started racing, the anger was making my blood boil and I began to look in all the other rooms, frantically hoping to find Pandora in one of them.
I heard voices approaching the passageway where I stood, so I darted into one of the empty rooms and hid behind the door.
“The boss is hurt pretty badly. He has asked that whoever finds the queen will be given lots of money.” I heard one of the men say.
“The queen? Pandora is missing?” I thought to myself.
“Well, the wolf searchers have been dispersed into the forest and there is a blood trail too, so she should be found before nightfall.” Another one replied to him, their voices faded at the end of the hallway.
I slipped out after, now sure that I had found the exact location of The Queen. I texted Griffin to hurry. I wanted to make sure that Uncle Joe did not escape this time around. I wanted to feed him piece by piece until he could no longer eat parts of his body.
After Griffin confirmed that he had received the exact location, I dashed off again, this time following the blood trail and praying desperately to the moon goddess that Pandora should still be fine. I followed the trail carefully, and soon I was neck-deep in the forest.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw a ditch with human prints around it. Furthermore, I looked around and saw blood stains running down the ditch.
Immediately, I panicked and jumped down, not minding what I might be encountering there. I landed softly on my paws and began to sniff around the ditch.
“Pandora was definitely in here. Where could she have gone? Someone must have taken her or is this all a trick to distract me, could Uncle Joe be capable of planning all these by himself?” I thought before letting the second thoughts go because I could not bring myself to believe that he was that smart.
Griffin sent me a text confirming that Uncle Joe had been captured, and they wanted to know what next I wanted to do.
“Put the phone on speaker, I want that sick bastard to hear what I am saying!” I said through gritted teeth.
“Alright boss. It is on speaker now. We can all hear you.” Griffin answered promptly.
“Good, I cannot find the Queen. I have been able to trail her blood to a deep ditch, but I cannot seem to find her or her body in here. If she is not seen by nightfall, I will break every bone in your body. I will remove your body parts and feed them to you until she is found. I have been lenient with you for far too long. Joe, this is the last straw and I won’t just be breaking the camel’s back, I will be killing the camel. Mark my words!” I threatened and managed to find my way out of the ditch.
I ended the call after telling Griffin to take Uncle Joe to my private torture house on the outskirts of town. I saw foot trails from the ditch and followed it again. The trails only led me to the main road and I sighed in disappointment.
A few minutes later, Griffin drove a car to where I was to pick me up, as I had told him earlier to come and get me. I had a strong feeling that Uncle Joe had hurt Pandora. My blood was boiling, and I knew that I could barely wait to get my hands on him and rip him apart.
“Boss, I’ll order an aerial survey of the area. We will find the Queen soon, my Alpha.” Griffin assured me calmly.
“Thank you,” I replied dryly. My mind was in a mess and all I could think about were the possibly terrible things that Pandora had to go through in her life. I had also promised to always protect her, but I have just failed.
My heart broke at the pain and all the blood she must have lost.
“Don’t worry Pandora. I will find you and I will get us justice!” I muttered quietly.
