Our eyes darted around the room, searching for confirmation, seeking reassurance that what we had just witnessed was not a figment of our imagination.

I took a step back, my body instinctively retreating as though my subconscious had triggered a defensive response to protect me.
Then I turned around and ran out of the room.
” Angie wait “I heard him calling my name, but I kept moving.
He grabbed me by my arm and turned me to face him, and I felt delicious tingles spread through my body.
“Please-ase hear me out ”
” I don’t want to hear anything, we have nothing to say to each other, I have one mate, and it’s Mason ” I could see hurt in his eyes at my words.
” And I’m your mate too.”
” Not for so long, I Angelina black reje..”
I was pushed to the wall and Ayann’s mouth pressed against mine, stopping me from uttering the words. He took my arms, holding my wrist over my head with one hand.
I was too shocked to react.
I stood rigid, not responding to his kiss.
He nipped and bit her lips, asking for entrance
He shoved his tongue down her throat.
She moaned with pleasure and molded her body against his as she kissed him passionately in return.
He kissed her again slowly and deeply, savoring her flavor. Then he pulled his head away and rested his forehead against hers with a sight breathing heavily.
“Please, Angie, don’t reject me, give me another chance, and I promise I won’t.. Fail you again. I already regret rejecting you in the past. ”
his voice broke.
He lifted his head, and our eyes looked up, a lone tear sliding down his face.
” I..” I murmured
” Think about it as a blessing from the moon goddess, a second chance for us to reunite
I have no problem sharing you with Mason as long as you are with me.”
His warm lips kissed their way down her neck.
And across her bare shoulders
A soft moan left my mouth , and he growled
” You’re killing me, my sweet mate. ”
” You’re mates?!”
Charlotte’s surprised voice startled us, causing us to break our embrace and take a step away from each other.
We looked out at Charlotte standing with a shocked expression on her face, and she was not alone. Mason besides her shooting a dagger at me.
Holy fucking shit!
” Mason, it’s not what you think ”
He ignored me and turned around, leaving us.
“Mason baby wait” he kept moving his back facing me.
” Not now, Angelina, I’m not in the mood for arguing. Wait until we go home. ”
Ayann POV
” Charlotte, I know you’re still hurting, but we talked about this before. We are over. You should move on, and you will never know one day your heart will beat for another man. ”
We were in her room after she witnessed me and Angie kissing.
Fuck !
I hope Mason will not be too harsh towards her.
” I can’t help it, I’m still in love with you , why not me, why? Am I not your fated mate? The moon goddess is cruel for mating you with my sister for the second time” she sniffed while drumming her fingers.
I sight and sat beside her on her bed and drew her closer to me in a comforting hug.
” You will find your love in the future. And you will forget about me and I will be only a memory, but for now you should focus on your treatment and getting well. Can we just go back, be friends and be happy for me ? ”
” Of course, I will always wish you happiness,
I love you so much”she clung to me, hugging me tightly.
Angie’s POV
He won’t talk to me !
He’s given me the silent treatment
We barely see or talk to each other
He never slept in our room for 5 days. He never attended breakfast or dinner with me .
He eats in his office while he’s working.
He only leaves his office to check on Ava after I leave her nursery room.
He has withdrawn from me both physically and emotionally. I miss him , I miss my sweet mate. It’s been a while since he touched me.
I missed his morning kisses and his warm embrace at night. He’s punishing me for something I had nothing to do without .
I understand his frustration, I understand what he’s going through at the moment, but I can’t help it. I’m afraid that I’m going to lose him. We haven’t talked properly since that day. I don’t know what’s going on inside his mind .
I tried to get him to talk to me, but all I heard from him was humming and ” Not now , later,”.
We can’t remain like this. I feel him slipping from my hand, I will force him to break his silence.
I made my way to his office and barged inside.
” Mason, we need to talk.”
” Don’t you know how to knock? ” He said without sparing me a glance.
” I don’t think I need permission to come to my mate’s office ”
” What do you want, Angie? I’m working, as you can see. ”
” Will you stop being childish and discuss what happened that day? ”
“Discussing what? You are smooching with another man ” he spat out, anger bubbling in his eyes.
I hung my head down in shame.
” it’s not like that he kissed me when I was about to reject him ”
” But you didn’t stop him , you returned his kiss, you were moaning his name ”

“You want to reject him because you want to hurt him like he did to you, you’re angry with him, and you want him to feel what he made you feel before, you want him to suffer a little bit, but deep down you’re happy that he’s begging you to accept him back to your life

I fell on my knees sobbing hard.
“Please-ase Mason, don’t reject me, I love you so much. Please, please, I would die without you”
I choked at my words and had to swallow.
I closed my eyes, wailing.
I heard Mason’s footsteps coming towards me and sat on the floor facing me .
He cupped my face with his hand and wiped my tears with his thumbs.
” Fuck, Angie, don’t cry baby. Who said I’m rejecting you? I will never leave you ! I love you so much, I just want you to never lie to me , and don’t hide your true feelings from me. I will never force you to choose between us.
He’s your fated mate. I will never make you reject him just to please me. I don’t want to see you suffering the pain of rejection again.

I threw myself in his arms and hid my face in his chest.
