“White Feather, what have you been doing this past month? You seem different,” Billy asked as they flew through the air.
“Hehe, you noticed?” White Feather smiled.
“Fairy has been helping me repair my soul. She’s amazing, and my soul is almost healed!”
“Oh?” Billy’s eyes lit up. “Does that mean your power has recovered a lot? Can you now defeat a late-stage Condensed Kun Realm warrior in one move?”
“Not that fast, it still needs some time,” White Feather replied with a smile. “But even though I can’t defeat them instantly, I can hold off one or two of them without a problem.”
“That’s good enough,” Billy responded.
Three days later, Billy and White Feather arrived at an unknown star domain. A thousand meters away stood a massive red gate, hundreds of meters tall.
Billy was slightly surprised to see only a gate, with nothing else around-no walls, no city.
The red gate was open, and a faint pressure emanated from within.
“Billy, there’s a duel going on inside,” White Feather said, looking at him.
“Yes,” Billy sensed it too. “Let’s go in and take a look.”
They flew towards the gate and soon passed through it, finding themselves on a floating corridor.
The corridor was about four to five hundred meters wide and several kilometers long, with mist swirling on either side.
At the end of the corridor was a floating city, neither too large nor too small, with no walls.
Above the city, figures moved, waves of energy clashed, swords and blades flashed, and shouts echoed. Many souls wandered in the air.
Billy’s gaze finally settled on a figure in a red robe to the right.
It was Malia Kaur, the eldest daughter of Zenith Sect!
She was already injured, with wounds on her arm and waist, and blood at the corner of her mouth.
Her opponent was a man in his forties, strong and fierce-looking, with a sharp aura.
Not far from them, two middle-aged men were engaged in a fierce battle.
One of them, wearing a green robe, was Freddy Kaur, the leader of Zenith Sect!
His aura showed that he was also seriously injured.
As Fairy had told Billy before, this was the fourth force to attack Zenith Sect this month.
Although Zenith Sect was considered a top-tier force in the eighth-tier star domain, it couldn’t withstand such continuous attacks.
In one month, Zenith Sect had lost at least half of its elite fighters, especially the Iron Guards, who were nearly wiped out.
The remaining members were all injured to some extent.
However, for Freddy Kaur and Malia Kaur, giving up the Nine Dragons Cauldron was not an option unless absolutely necessary.
The top-ranked Sacred Object had cost many lives to obtain; no one would willingly give it up!
“Miss Kaur, give up,” the man fighting Malia Kaur said calmly.
“You know the consequences of continuing this fight. Is it worth sacrificing the entire Zenith Sect for an external object?”
“Jayce Larsen, you’ll only get the Nine Dragons Cauldron over my dead body!” Malia Kaur wiped the blood from her mouth and spoke coldly.
“Do you think I can’t kill you or don’t dare to?” Jayce Larsen sneered.
“I’ve heard you’re a rare genius of Zenith Sect. Meeting you in person is disappointing; you don’t understand priorities. How can you achieve great things?”
“Enough talk. If you want the Nine Dragons Cauldron, kill me first!” Malia Kaur said again. “Even if I die today, I won’t let you have it easily!”
“In that case, don’t blame me for being ruthless!” Jayce Larsen responded sternly.
As he spoke, a terrifying aura spread from his body, revealing his fifth-rank Condensed Kun Realm cultivation.
He quickly disappeared and reappeared with a blazing energy ball aimed at Malia Kaur, igniting the air.
Malia Kaur took a deep breath and did not dodge. She drew a long sword from her storage ring and met the attack head-on.
With a loud bang, Malia Kaur was sent flying six or seven kilometers back, spitting blood into the air.
Already injured, she was now in even worse shape, with only about forty percent of her strength left and her aura extremely weak.
Originally a fifth-rank Condensed Kun Realm herself, Malia Kaur had been continuously injured over the past month and hadn’t fully recovered. She was no match for Jayce Larsen from the start.
“Malia!” Freddy Kaur shouted upon seeing her condition.
He wanted to help but was also at his limit and unable to do so.
Before he could finish speaking, his opponent struck his chest with an imprint, sending him flying back to join his daughter.
His bones were mostly broken, and blood flowed from his mouth; his condition was worse than Malia Kaur’s.
“Father!” Malia Kaur called out weakly.
“Do you still want to fight?” The middle-aged man approached them and asked calmly.
“Uncle, are you okay?” Jayce Larsen walked over and checked his uncle’s injuries.
“Just minor wounds,” Channing Larsen shook his head.
“Channing Larsen, do you really want to fight to the death?” Freddy Kaur shouted angrily at them.
“Mr. Kaur, you’re overestimating yourself. Do you have the qualifications to fight us to the death?” Jayce Larsen replied.
He pointed to the mountain behind the city. “Your Zenith Sect’s trump card is your Ancestor’s avatar, right? I’m sorry to inform you that he’ll soon be gone.”
“What?!” Freddy Kaur and Malia Kaur’s pupils contracted in shock and their hearts sank.
“What do you mean? Did you bring others?” Freddy Kaur asked urgently.
“What do you think?” Jayce Larsen smiled faintly.
As he spoke, a thunderous explosion came from the back mountain, collapsing the void and creating a terrifying scene.
“Abandon the cauldron!”
An old man’s shadow flew back several kilometers and shouted with all his might before dissipating into nothingness…
“Ancestor!”
Freddy Kaur and Malia Kaur cried out in despair simultaneously.
It was clear that the old man’s shadow was Zenith Sect’s trump card-the soul consciousness left by their Ancestor.
Zenith Sect’s status as a top-tier force in the eighth-tier star domain relied heavily on this trump card. Now that it was gone, their fate was sealed.
“You deserve to die!” Freddy Kaur shouted angrily at Channing Larsen and Jayce Larsen.
“Enough. I don’t have the patience to waste time here,” Channing Larsen replied and looked at Malia Kaur. “I’ll give you one last chance. Will you hand over the cauldron?”
“You’ll face retribution…” Malia Kaur’s face twisted as she spoke.
Before she could finish her sentence, Channing Larsen waved his hand, sending a powerful wave of energy crashing into Freddy Kaur.
Already severely injured with only twenty to thirty percent of his strength left, Freddy Kaur couldn’t dodge in time and turned into a blood mist on impact. Even his soul didn’t escape-completely annihilated!
“Father!” Malia Kaur screamed in agony.
