Alessandro
(Bernard Castleford)
I arrived at the office early today and made my way up to my office. Dave was at the door of my office as he held a file tightly in his hands. His face didn’t look good at all.
“Good morning sir”. He said in a rush.
“Good morning Dave”.
“Sir there’s something you need to know about your last decision”.
I stopped in my tracks and turned to him. Raising my brows, I asked him.
“What’s the problem now Dave?”. I was in a foul mood this morning already.
Over the weekend I’ve been calling Victoria but she never picked my calls, not even one.
That girl was going to get it from me if she tried anything stupid with my baby.
My men have been watching her from afar for days now. She hasn’t left the house for days.
They reported that her best friends often come over to visit her and they buy her groceries and stuff.
She was driving me insane. I wanted to know what she was doing at all times, what she was thinking, what she was eating and who she was seeing.
I wanted to control her and her every move. She was really fucking with my head.
I’ve been spending my time with Robyn since the previous week. She’s quite the woman. Very interesting and fascinating. So very submissive and fun. Amara has gone AWOL around the house. Mary claims she took a sick leave but I know better. She was with that boy. Those two stupid women can’t deceive me. That would be an insult.
“Sir we have a big problem with the authority you issued. Since Bernard Castleford has acquired his 20 percent of shares in Castle Enterprises back, I’m afraid with his previous 40 percent shares in the company, he’ll soon have twice as much power over you in the company. He’ll give you orders in the company and boss you around. He’ll even berate you in public. That can’t happen sir. He’s your rival and we can’t have that. What if he decides to start buying shares in our company?”.
“Fuck!”. I roared punching the wall beside me.
I had acquired a large amount of shares in his company and had as much power as him. It felt good back then to challenge whatever decisions he made. Now he’s pulled a fast one on me.
“How did this happen? I never signed any document!”. I yelled at Dave.
“I don’t know sir. That’s the report I got from the finance department. They said it was sent to your email address and you signed the document yourself”.
“Nonsense! Dave, I never signed any document! Fire them all! Every last one of them! They’re incompetent! Why wasn’t I informed? Who the hell took the law into their own hands?”.
“According to the report, it was stated that you signed it boss and agreed to sell the shares back to Mr. Castleford”.
“Fire them all and bring their files to me! I’ll deal with them myself. They’ll see hell on earth for going against me. They should have known better”. I was enraged.
Bernard Castleford was a sly fox. He was cunning and smart. Everyone knew him as my competitor and my biggest rival in the business world.
He was young, rich and handsome though I was way more better looking. Whatever I had, he had it too. Whatever accomplishment I made, he did it too. He always irritated me to no end. So since I was young and still reeling from my new title of “Mafia Boss” which I had just snatched from my father. And being as arrogant as I was, I went after his wife.
I was so pissed off at him that time, many years ago, I tried to humiliate him and show that I was better than him by sleeping with his wife and showing him proof.
Bernard’s wife was Margaret Castleford. A snobby rich girl with loose morals. Apparently they had both been arranged to be married since birth by their two fathers. She was not into Bernad at all and only agreed to marry him because of the merger between their both families.
My then assistant before Dave was Hillary. Hillary was my previous assistant before Dave and my last female assistant. We had some unprofessional dealings, but all that was in the past.
She supposedly started to catch feelings for me after having a couple of hookups at the office. I shunned her and might as well have threatened her into submission. She quit her job the next week and ran off into the sunset with the next man she set her eyes on.
So, Hillary was very good at finding dirt, secrets and details about people. She was the real “Mrs. Find Shit Out”. She had a nose for sniffing out dirt from rich people and could literally sense a top secret from a mile away. That was what got her the job. I remember finding out that she knew that I was a mafia boss and how bold she was telling it to my face. I was in awe of her skills.
She was a busty blonde with a hacking talent of 109%. A fucking computer genius. She used to look extremely sexy behind that desk with those glasses and that badass updo.
She found out everything about Margaret Castleford in no time. From where she shops, to where she waxes, to where she eats, to her ballet studio, to where she works out, to her favorite brands, everything about her. It was very easy getting my plan into motion once I knew everything about my target.
Margaret fell into my arms like a damn baby. She was smitten and charmed by my looks as she fell head over heels in love with me and my body. She couldn’t get enough of me at all. She was literally obsessed with me and started to violently go off on her husband in public over the littlest of things. It was damn funny to watch.
She once yelled at him for trying to kiss her in public. She came straight from the event to my penthouse suite that night to ask for forgiveness for letting another man touch her publicly. Her madness over me was my ego booster and it made me feel proud of myself that my enemy’s wife would go to war for me.
She would often tell me she couldn’t live without me and that she would die if I ever left her. I most times contemplated telling her to kill her husband to prove her total allegiance to me but I kicked the thought aside, that would make me seem like a coward. I didn’t want him dead. At least not yet. If I wanted him dead, he’d be dead already and by my hands too.
Margaret’s obsession spiraled into something insatiably uncontrollable. She seemed like she wanted my blood and wanted to become one with me. She wanted me to touch her and hold her and feel her at all times. Though it was a plan, I was getting concerned for her mental health. She was losing it. I had gotten enough damning evidence against Bernard so I pushed the final button.
I ended things with Margaret Castleford in the most shameful way ever. I sent our photos and videos to her husband as an extremely early Valentine’s day gift. I heard he thrashed the house and almost strangled Margaret after seeing the photos and videos.
She arrived at my house that night, drenched in the rain with her mascara running as she begged me to say it wasn’t true that I used her and that I was in love with her just as she was in love with me. I bluntly told her to her face that I didn’t feel a single thing for her and that it was nothing personal.
I kicked her out in the cold rain that night as the rain mixed up with her tears. The next morning it was all over the news that she attempted suicide by stepping in front of a speeding vehicle and was in a coma fighting for her life.
I sent her flowers and also a picture of us just to infuriate Bernard. I think my plan worked.
She woke up from the coma but now had amnesia and Bernard, in anger, confined her to an asylum ever since.
No one had seen or heard from Margaret Castleford for years. But now her bastard of a husband was rearing up his ugly head one more time. Maybe I’ll go after his sister, Vera Castleford this time.
The thought brought a smile to my face but that quickly faded as the present situation once again destroyed my mood.
I faced Dave as I pointed a finger at him.
“Someone messed with my computer and my privacy and I want that person found immediately”.
Someone got into my house, gained access into my computer and accessed my system and files without my knowledge or consent. That was unacceptable. It was scenarios like this that made me miss Hillary. She was efficient and reliable and she would have smelled a rat instantly.
I would kill whoever it was if I found the person.
They dared to play on my intelligence. This was unheard of.
I stormed into my office as I sat on my desk in anger.
I tried to organize my thoughts and see if I’d find a loophole or a possible rat in my home or around me.
Sebastian would have been of help but he’s out of town right now on an important family matter. He said his foster mother was getting remarried and he adored her so much he didn’t want to miss it.
Amara has been MIA for the longest time and she wouldn’t dare go against me. That dumb girl was only good at cooking, cleaning and keeping her legs open. She didn’t have the balls for a dangerous task like this.
It can’t be Mary, the dumb old hag. She can hardly count her fingers and her toes talk more about hacking into my system. I’d probably have caught her before she could complete her mission. She was old, doddery, dumb and weak. She can’t do shit.
Manuel was far away at the gate. I doubt he even knew his way around the main house.
Oh for fucks sake it can’t be my little four months’ old son. Matteo’s the silliest suspect in this. But then, they say that everyone’s a suspect right?.
Victoria and Flynn.
I traced my mind back carefully and thought deeply about the odd pair that had both angrily left my mansion. Could they have copied my password down and sold it to Bernard just to get back at me?.
I shook the thoughts from my head for many reasons. They had both left before this happened and I’m sure as hell that they’ve not stepped their feet into this house since they left in anger. And then again, I’ve never let them into my room to go close to my computer and my files. I loved to keep my secrets secret. They didn’t even know I had a library in this house.
Hold on!
Wait a damn minute.
How did I casually overlook this person?.
