The Change So Far

Zera woke to the hands of Aaron fondling and playing with her. She came into full consciousness, already turned on and excited for him. She moaned aloud; her lashes fluttered, and she bit her lips as the sleepiness departed from her.
She glanced down at him, and their gazes locked. His eyes were filled with so much desire that they flared in testament to that need.
“Good morning,” he moaned around her left nipple before taking it into his mouth and giving it a delicate suckling that left her panting and wanting more.
He didn’t relent in applying more pleasure and a little pain where he felt it was necessary. She ground her hips against him to get friction, as she needed as much attention down there as she was getting up here.
“Aaron!” she moaned and pulled at his hair, and he growled in response.
His left hand moved down to cup her wetness, and he ground the heel of his palm into her. He seized her lips for a passionate kiss before pulling away and kissing down her chin. Her head fell to the bed, and her lashes fluttered as her release came, rocking her as if she were a ship on a strong tide.
Aaron fell back to his side of the bed, wrapped his arms around his erection, and stroked at a fast pace with his lashes tightly shut. After a moment of stroking, he hit his release, and his cum shot over his stomach and some to his chest. She watched him get his fill and lose his strength. It took a few seconds for his lashes to flutter open, and she didn’t miss a moment of it.
“Good morning,” she said, resting her hands under her head and turning to her side to properly stare at him.
He turned his head to look at her, and a shy smile came to his face. “Good morning, my love.”
“Thank you.” She said and drew closer to kiss his lips before pulling away and getting off the bed. What better way to begin the day than to receive a mind-shattering release from your husband and mate?
“You’re always welcome, my love,” he said, sitting up as well.
“Shower?” she suggested while already walking towards the bathroom door.
He shrugged and rose to his feet to follow her. They stepped into the shower, and Aaron washed her off, and she did the same for him. She ran her hand over him as the water ran down his body, washing off the lathered soap. Her fingers ran over his chest, down his stomach, and then over his biceps and hands. When she felt they were clean, she moved down his waist and his pelvic region, and as she ran her hand around his shaft, she felt him stir, and she knew he was getting turned on again.
“But you just…” she started, and even he knew that.
“You touch me well,” was his only response, and she wrapped her hands around his erection and gently stroked it until it fully stretched. She kept up the steady pace, stroking and touching before picking up the pace, and soon he came crashing from the heights.
“Thank you.” He moaned and took her lips into his for a desire-filled kiss.
“Do you have plans for the rest of the day?” Aaron suddenly asked as Zera put on her last pair of stilettos.
“Not really; why did you ask?”
“Well, it’s the full moon tonight.”
He began, and she almost facepalmed herself for forgetting. It makes sense now why his desire these past few days has been insatiable. She really needed to be more attentive and read the signs.
She wasn’t affected by the full moon, and thus her defence against not keeping up with the change.
Over a year ago, shortly after the wedding, she had made plans for a tour with Diya on the full moon and didn’t realise what she had done until the last minute. She had to stick with her arrangements with Diya because explaining to her friend why she had to cancel at the last minute wouldn’t go well. She hoped Aaron would understand, and though he did, she had to apologise properly-in bed.
Three months ago, she missed the full moon again as her department at the university had planned an excursion two states away, and she had to go with the students. When she told Aaron about the trip, he told her it meant she would be away on the full moon, and that was when she realised it. He understood and told her that being supernatural among humans came with sacrifices. She was more human than he was, and so he didn’t worry about her ability to cope.
The difference between her, a sage, and Aaron, a werewolf, was vast, from strength to weakness to response. She was faster and stronger, even though there was no reason to put that to the test. She wasn’t affected by wolfsbane, and as much as they knew, she had no weakness. Aaron was the strongest alpha alive, and he also hailed from the strongest bloodline. Yes, she had the strength, speed, and brutality, but he had the endurance ability compared to her. The full moon had little to no effect on her, whether good or bad. She was a mystery box with something to unfold every time one looked inside it. She was different, and if she was being honest, she didn’t really like that fact.
She wished she was like them, or at least that there were others like her. That way, she wouldn’t feel so alone in how she felt. But like Ivan said, sages were a rare occurrence, and they probably won’t be one in the next hundred years. Aaron was always here when she needed him, and that was enough.
“Please tell me you do not have plans.”
She pressed her lips together, and he eyed her wearily. “Zera! You said you would do better!”
She held her hands up and said, “I am trying.”
“It doesn’t look like it.”
“I will be here for tonight’s shift, I promise.” She said, grinning.
He frowned at her, not so happy that she had played with his feelings. “Good, because Sesi is in Paris and won’t be here to take charge and fill the void. I need you beside me more than ever,” he said, and she nodded in understanding.
Just like Daniel, after the war between the packs, Damor returned to Ireland, where his pack resided, and has been there ever since, tending to his pack and leading it as an alpha should. Sesi was the beta and the second in command after Aaron, followed by Ivana and Miguel, according to rank. Though Zera was the second after the alpha by being his mate, she knew she couldn’t do everything, as she didn’t know what it felt like to be a werewolf.
The pack had grown in size in the last two years from what it used to be. Ivana and Miguel, the two lead betas, worked to recognise the strength, loyalty, and dedication of the pack members by setting them into their appropriate positions. The ranks went through betas, deltas, gemmas, omegas, and rogues. These orders followed through with their duties and responsibilities, within and without the estate. Those in charge took responsibility, even on a full moon like today. Despite all these things in place, Aaron needed all the help he could get on the full moon.
He needed her help and her presence.
“I will be here.” She took hold of his hands and gave them a tight squeeze before leaning in and kissing his lips.
He believed her: “Have a lovely day at work today, then.” He said.
