FRED
Our Bunny giggled as she scooped some water in her palms and poured it on her body, turning to smile at us.
“Come on!” She beckoned to us, trying to get us to run down from the rock we were sitting on, to her side. “The water is cool,” she added for effects.
“Nah, we will pass,” Blue responded, smiling down at her. “We are good.”
“Not until you get down and join me. You don’t know what you are missing.”
“We will pass.”
“Suit yourselves!” Pouting, she turned her back to us and resumed what she was doing, scooping and dumping water on her body like a kid as she giggled. It was cute watching her.
“I think this is the happiest she has been since she discovered she’s not human,” I said, my gaze on her beautiful golden strands. With the sun shining down on her, she looked like an angel. Her smiles were so enchanting that it took my breath away. Oddly enough, I felt like I had fallen more in love with her, with the beauty that swooped into our lives one sunny day, with shaky legs and pepper spray.
Pfft.
She looked so cute that day, and her scent, wafting in the air, alone made me want to reach out, to hug her tight. Okay, not her. Probably fuck her hard.
“True.” Nodding, Blue sighed, glancing up at the sky. “If only we can stay like this forever.” Those whispered words carried so much uncertainty about the future and our fears. Though our Bunny had shown no signs of getting affected by her powers, we knew it was only a matter of time until she did.
“If only…” I trailed off.
“Do you think she was taken by Kandera?” Blue’s worried voice filtered into my thoughts, shattering my reverie.
Running my hand through my tousled blonde strand, I exhaled. “That’s the only explanation. Kandera is the only one I know who deals with dark magic. You know that too. He’s the only one who will ever rescue her. If what Chris said was true, a part of him is inside her.”
“You think so too?”
“Mmm.” Nodding, I leaned back, placing my hands on the rock, to steady myself as my gaze drifted over to our Bunny once more, at the cheerful soul that didn’t realize there was danger lurking on every side. “We need to sort things out before it gets out of hand. Our Bunny isn’t safe, and you know that.”
“Do you think I don’t know?” He snapped, irritation slipping into his tone. “I’m worried, just like you are.”
I didn’t have a response to that.
Seeing we would not join her as she requested, our Bunny came out from the river and ran over to us, as water dropped her sexy-as-hell body. She looked like sin on two legs, with her summer sundress clinging to her body like a second skin, outlining her shape, something we had always worshipped each night.
“Why didn’t you come join me?” She pouted, folding her arms. Her actions caused her breasts to push up a little.
“Here.” I patted my thighs, and she happily sat next to me and laid her head down on them, sighing in bliss. “I love it here,” she whispered, looking up. “I wish we could stay like this forever.”
“Me too.”
“You think so?” She reached over to me and rubbed my right ear, her brush a whisper on my skin.
Gulping, I tried not to react to her touch. Having a naked – we need to call her that since her dress left nothing to the imagination – and beautiful woman lying next to me, with a tempting smile on my face, caressing my ear was so much torment.
‘You can’t blame her, brother. She doesn’t know.’ Blue smirked, knowing the amount of torture I was going through with what she was doing. He could also feel it, though it wasn’t as strong as mine.
“Fred,” our Bunny started, her tone unsure. Peering up at me through her lashes, she smiled, shyly, almost like she was scared I would flip should she tell me what was on her mind.
“What’s it?” I caressed her left cheek, smiling down at her to ease the fear in her gaze. “Is there any other place you wish to go?”
Blue and I had already decided before we left the house that we would go to any place she asked of us. We were prepared to walk around Earth should she desire it.
She didn’t respond immediately. Instead, she peered up at Blue, whose gaze was on the crystal water, his face in a thoughtful frown.
“Promise you guys won’t be angry?” She returned her gaze to me, biting her lower lip.
“Why will I?” I leaned down and placed a kiss on her lips, loving the way her eyelashes fluttered at the gesture. “We will never be pissed at you.”
It wasn’t debatable. Aside from the times when we couldn’t control our inner beast, and the initial month we spent with her, we have never been pissed with her. Even when we wished to throw her across our thighs and spank her butt until it shone red, we quelled the urge.
“I need a guarantee.” She didn’t seem like she was ready to let me off the hook until I promised.
Sighing, I acquiesced. “Okay. I promise. You can tell me whatever you need me to know. I promise I won’t get angry.”
“Blue?”
“I won’t be,” he vowed, reaching over to ruffle her hair. “We won’t be pissed at you for anything. You are free to ask anything you need an answer to. We won’t get angry. I promise.”
“That’s it then.” She inhaled, stalling for a moment before she asked a question we had been dreading for weeks, one we knew she would eventually ask when the time came. “Why did you leave your kingdom? What happened when you were there? Why do you hate the mention of your throne?”
