Beast

I paced the floors after they left, trying to figure out how to get away from the room. I knew undoubtedly there was no leaving this house should I not think of a strategy.
I sighed heavily and plopped down on the bed to rest my legs before I resumed pacing. It wasn’t easy thinking about a means of escape when I knew there weren’t any for me.
At last, I made up my mind and walked over to the door. “I want to be let out!” I yelled as I knocked on it, knowing they could hear.
It only took a few seconds for them to open the door from the outside. I didn’t hear the sound of a key, but I knew they locked me. However they managed to do that?
Fred was the one on the other side. Blue wasn’t with him. And by the looks of it, Fred didn’t seem that happy to be here.
“What do you want?” He demanded, sounding as if speaking to me was a work on its own.
“Do I need to have any reason for calling you guys?” I closed the distance between us, smiling at him. Though my mind asked me to run as far away from him as I could, I knew this was the only way for me. I raised my hands towards him and tried to wrap them around his neck, but he stepped back.
“What the hell are you trying to do?” He demanded, glaring at me.
“What does it seem like I’m doing?” I smiled as I walked over to him. Once more, I tried to touch him, but he drew two steps back before my hand could touch him.
“Do you feel we just want sex?” He demanded, looking at me like I had slapped him. “Do we look so desperate for sex that you think it’s the only thing you will have to do for us to let you go?”
I gaped at him, too stunned to reply. How the freaking hell did he get to know my plans? I knew I masked my expressions.
“It’s obvious in your gaze, Bella. I could see that determination as you walked towards me. Like one about to cross an ocean of fire,” he explained. “Tell me, do we look like monsters?”
“Yes,” I replied without thinking about it.
It wasn’t until those words left my mouth that I realized what I had said.
“Like we thought,” he whispered bitterly. “We will be nothing more but beasts to you.”
“I -”
“We won’t lock you up in the room. You are free to roam around all you like. There is enough food in the kitchen. If you want fresh ones, just press the red button on the fridge. Someone will come in to make one for you.”
“Monsters like you?” I wondered aloud.
“Think whatever you want,” he snapped before he turned his back to me. “Don’t bother about escaping,” he said before he vanished.
One moment, he was standing in front of me, and the next, I couldn’t see him.
“That scared me,” I mumbled as I placed my hand over my racing heart. Speaking with him made it seem like I was having a face-off with the Grim Reaper. I thought he might lose it, and try to attack me.
I stayed that way for a long time before I decided to test what he said. As I walked towards the stairs, I peered around, to be certain there was no one around. The last thing I needed was for someone to sneak up on me.
When I didn’t see any of them, I hurried down the stairs, and towards the front door. Despite his words, I wasn’t about to stay locked up for as long as they wanted me to.
I raced for the exit and turned the knob, only to be disappointed when it didn’t budge. Who was I kidding? I knew it wouldn’t be unlocked. I had been in this situation more than thrice since I met them.
“Fuck you!” I yelled at them. “Fuck you, monsters!”
I expected to hear their reply or anything from them, but I got no response. It felt as if I was speaking to myself.
Yelling at them for my misfortune, I slid down the door and placed both hands on my ears as I stared up at the stairs. Tears streamed down my eyes when the gravity of the situation became apparent. They weren’t joking about keeping me locked.
Was I about to spend the rest of my life with monsters, who would get rid of me, should they tire of me?
My stomach rumbled, reminding me I hadn’t eaten since the time I last slept on their bed. Before I discovered they weren’t humans, I was on my way to the kitchen, to have dinner, only to have my plans thwarted.
I glanced towards the kitchen before I wiped my tears and got up from the floor. To better think of an alternative to deal with them, I need to have something in my stomach.
I walked into the kitchen and went straight to the fridge. I didn’t bother to check on the frozen food as I pressed the red button next to it.
“You called me, miss?” someone said behind me.
I screamed so loudly at the sound of the voice that my soul almost left my body. My heart thumped in my chest as I turned around to stare at the woman who appeared from nowhere.
Gulping, I took a step back as my eyes darted around. I blinked, to be certain I wasn’t imagining it, and I sure wasn’t.
“What do you want to eat, miss?” She asked as she bowed to me.
The lady was freaking real!
My eyes trailed down her body. I started from her pretty curly blue hair to her sea-green eyes before they travelled down her beautiful hourglass figure. Her clothes did nothing to hide.
I gulped as I took a step back before I whispered, “How the hell did you get here?”
“You summoned me,” she replied, acting like I was the odd one among us.
“No, I didn’t. I pressed the red….” I trailed off as my eyes widened in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you live in that thing?” I demanded.
“Not at all, miss. That’s my summoning bell,” she responded, with a smile. “What do you want to have today?” She asked, acting like it was perfectly normal for her to materialize out of freaking thin air!
