Chapter 966 Happy Ending

Book:A Successful Career After Divorce Published:2024-11-22

Brendon was highly proactive and started preparing for the wedding the next day, even setting a date for it.
On the wedding day, Ranita stayed in the bride’s dressing room, where Eve helped her with her wardrobe and gave her a big hug with teary eyes, “Ranita, be happy forever.”
Simple and sincere, it was Eve’s greatest wish.
“Uh-huh! I know! Don’t cry! If you cry, people might think I’m bullying you!” Ranita comforted her.
“I’m just too excited today! You don’t know how long I’ve waited for this day!” Eve sniffled, looking emotional, “I’m so happy to see you and Brendon getting married today!”
Ranita was deeply moved, “I know! I’ll live a good life with Brendon!”
After all these experiences, they would surely have a long and happy life together!
The wedding ceremony began, and Izaiah accompanied Ranita. She linked her arm with Izaiah’s, waiting at the end of the long carpet.
The emcee started the ceremony, and the sounds of music and chatter filled the air. However, Ranita felt very calm.
“Are you tired?” Izaiah patted her hand and asked.
Ranita shook her head, “Not really.”
Especially during the makeup and styling, they had taken care of her, never letting her stand for too long.
“Izaiah…” Ranita’s feelings for Izaiah had grown over time, and she held his hand, comforting him, “We’re just having a wedding, but I’m still your sister, and I’m still me!”
“In the future, you should often come to see me and Ayaan. I’ll also keep in touch with you and have meals together.”
Ranita’s eyes turned misty, and she almost began to cry.
“Izaiah… In the future, don’t think I’m annoying or bad. I want to be your sister forever.”
Izaiah chuckled softly.
“Okay, okay, don’t cry! You’re the most beautiful bride today!” This time, it was Izaiah’s turn to comfort her.
Ranita was truly moved.
Now, she had loved ones by her side, friends, a lover, and a child. She had no regrets.
“If Brendon ever mistreats you, me. I will always be your biggest support.”
As the emcee announced, “Please welcome the bride,” music played in the background.
“Let’s go!” Izaiah smiled at her, “Brendon is waiting for you!”
The light gradually shone, and Ranita looked up to meet a pair of dark and deep eyes, shimmering with light, as if there were waves of passion and happiness within.
Ranita’s heart also warmed up.
Holding the bouquet, she suddenly felt nervous, afraid of doing something wrong…
“Don’t be nervous!” Izaiah chuckled softly, guiding her step by step towards Brendon.
That person’s gaze was full of expectation, passion, and happiness.
Through the crowd and noise, they could only see each other.
Ranita couldn’t help but smile at Brendon.
When she was in her bridal gown, she looked like a white rose. After the makeup and styling, she added a touch of charm and allure.
Even a raised eyebrow or a smile made Brendon feel as if his heart was being swept away by a huge wave, unable to calm down.
Brendon’s Adam’s apple moved.
He couldn’t help but take a few steps closer, and Allen, one of the emcees, joked, “Wow! The bride is so beautiful, our groom is already eager to run up to her…”
The audience burst into laughter.
Brendon wasn’t embarrassed but nodded with a refined and loving gaze towards Ranita.
He was showing the deepest love for her silently.
The romantic atmosphere overwhelmed everyone everywhere. The old smiled while the young giggled with their mouths covered.
When Ranita placed her hand in his, Brendon whispered to her, “Ranita.”
“Uh-huh?” Ranita glanced at Brendon out of the corner of her eye, not daring to move too much, whispering, “What is it?”
Brendon couldn’t resist showing a bright smile.
He leaned back slightly, placed his shoulder against hers, and asked, “You’re finally marrying me! Can I kiss you after the ceremony?”
The bride and groom on the stage seemed to have a protective field around them, as if the people around them were just air.
Ranita and Brendon usually looked very low-key and never showed affection publicly, but this wedding let everyone know… Brendon and Ranita were indeed an intimate couple.
And Brendon wasn’t a man who didn’t smile; he just reserved smiles for certain people.
When the ring was placed on her finger, Brendon couldn’t wait to kiss her.
Ranita blushed.
“Wow… Wow…”
Some people screamed, some clapped, and some cheered, but the scene was lively.
Ranita, feeling embarrassed by the kiss, secretly pinched Brendon, and he finally loosened his hold.
To avoid tiring Ranita, Brendon didn’t make the ceremony too complicated, but with so many guests, just greeting them was exhausting.
Late at night, Ranita came home and lay down directly.
She wanted to soak in a bath, but she didn’t have the energy to move.
“What’s the matter?” Brendon came in, his body permeated with the smell of alcohol, but his eyes were dark and focused on her.
“Tired!” Ranita stretched out lazily, “Why don’t you go take a bath first…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Brendon walked straight over, bent down, and picked her up.
“I’ll run the hot water, let’s soak together!”
“Wait…” Before Ranita could refuse him, he carried her into the bathroom with her clothes still on. The bathtub was filled with bubbles and rose petals, creating a romantic atmosphere.
Beside it, scented candles and a bouquet of red roses were set up.
The thing that made Ranita’s face turn red and her heart race was the change of her bathrobe to a seductive nightgown, so sheer that she didn’t dare to look at it.
Who came up with these ideas? She was put in such an awkward situation!
Brendon, seeing all this, couldn’t resist doing something passionate with Ranita.
Ranita was exhausted and, in a daze, was carried to the bed by Brendon to sleep.
Faintly, she heard Brendon say warmly, “Ranita, let’s accompany each other for the rest of our lives. I love you!”
Time seemed to stop, and happiness spread.
