“We’re not sure exactly how many branches there are,” the man paused before adding, “The nearest branch from here is in Star City, and we belong to that branch.”
“It’s quite a distance from here. The starship can’t reach it directly, so we’ll have to use the teleportation channel in the next city.”
“Are you… are you planning to go to our branch?” the woman asked, stunned.
“You better hope someone in that branch knows where your headquarters is!” Casey replied for Billy.
After a slight pause, he asked, “What’s the highest cultivation level in that branch?”
“The highest should be our Vice Sect Master!” The man’s eyes flashed with a strange light as he responded, “But we don’t know his exact cultivation level.”
“Still not being honest!” Casey’s eyes narrowed slightly, and a cold aura spread from him.
“I… I really don’t know what the Vice Sect Master’s cultivation level is…” The man trembled all over. “I only heard that he might be at the early stage of Condensed Kun Realm…”
“Let’s go!” Billy said.
“Okay… okay!” The man took a deep breath and responded.
Half an hour later, the starship stopped outside a medium-sized city.
Then, led by the two members of Zenith Sect, the group flew towards a teleportation channel outside the city.
A dozen hours later, they appeared outside the east gate of Star City.
The city’s scale was large. From their aerial view earlier, it seemed comparable to Decadent City in the seventh-tier star domain.
“Where is your Zenith Sect’s base?” Judge asked the two members.
“In…” The woman began, but was interrupted by the man. “Our branch is in the west of the city; we need to cross the city to get there.”
“Lead the way!” Billy glanced at them.
Soon, the two members led Billy and his group into the city.
“Besides having a higher spiritual energy concentration than a seventh-tier star domain, there’s nothing special about this eighth-tier star domain!” Judge remarked while observing both sides of the street.
“The city’s scale and the skills of passersby don’t seem much different from Decadent City.”
“Is it possible that what we’re seeing isn’t even a fraction of what an eighth-tier star domain has to offer?” Azure Fang replied.
“Alright!” Judge shrugged.
“I wonder how big an eighth-tier star domain really is!” Soul Chaser muttered to himself.
“Didn’t Miss Sanaa say?” White Tiger spoke up. “A seventh-tier star domain is probably not even one-millionth the size of an eighth-tier star domain…”
Before White Tiger could finish speaking, a group of people emerged from a building ahead and blocked their path.
Leading them was a man in a gray robe, appearing to be in his forties or fifties, with a strong cultivation level at first-rank Condensed Kun Realm!
He was followed by thirty or forty people, including one at half-step Condensed Kun Realm, two at eighth-rank Supreme Source Realm, four at sixth-rank Supreme Source Realm, and others at early Supreme Source Realm or below.
“What do you mean by this?” Judge asked after they stopped.
“If I’m not mistaken, you must be Billy?” The leading man looked at Billy and asked.
“You’re well-informed,” Billy said calmly.
“You made such a high-profile announcement to the Heaven Alliance that you came to the eighth-tier star domain. Your purpose was to let everyone know your whereabouts, wasn’t it?” The leading man continued.
“Actually, I admire you. If it were someone else, they would hide their tracks as much as possible. But you exposed yourself voluntarily. You have guts!”
“State your name,” Billy said calmly.
“Director of Gathering of Immortals Pavilion, Korbin Savage,” the leading man responded.
“Gathering of Immortals Pavilion?” Billy was taken aback.
“You might not know what Gathering of Immortals Pavilion represents in an eighth-tier star domain,” Korbin Savage paused before adding, “You can think of Gathering of Immortals Pavilion as the organization with the most branches in an eighth-tier star domain. Almost every city has a Gathering of Immortals Pavilion!”
“What do you do?” White Tiger asked.
“Gathering of Immortals Pavilion is a tavern,” Korbin Savage responded indifferently. “Of course, as long as the price is right, you can ask Gathering of Immortals Pavilion to do anything for you!”
“An assassin organization?” Judge asked.
“There’s more to it!” Korbin Savage glanced at Judge.
“The top five requests we handle are buying and selling information, issuing bounties, auctioning rare treasures, finding people, and mediating disputes!”
“Sounds impressive,” Judge replied.
“It’s not just impressive in words; it’s impressive in reality too!” Korbin Savage smiled faintly.
“So why did you stop us?” White Tiger continued to ask.
“I want to make a deal with you,” Korbin Savage looked at Billy and said.
“You want the Nine Dragons Cauldron?” Billy asked.
“You’re wrong!” Korbin Savage shook his head. “We know our limits. We can’t protect the Nine Dragons Cauldron. Even if we got it, it would only bring us trouble!”
“Heaven Book?” Billy continued.
“Yes,” Korbin Savage nodded. “Name your price. As long as it’s not too excessive, Gathering of Immortals Pavilion is willing to pay!”
“What if I don’t sell?” Billy asked.
“I suggest you seriously consider it,” Korbin Savage responded. “Usually, things Gathering of Immortals Pavilion wants are rarely out of reach. If you’re willing to trade voluntarily, we can even become friends!”
“So if we don’t give it to you, you’re planning to take it by force?” White Tiger asked.
“I advise you not to refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!” The ninth-rank Supreme Source Realm man among them spoke in a deep voice. “You don’t know your limits. With such low cultivation levels, you dare to show off. Do you have a death wish?”
“Director Savage asking you to sell us the Heaven Book is doing you a favor. You’d better appreciate it…”
“Thanks for your kindness. The Heaven Book is not for sale. Goodbye!” Billy interrupted him.
After speaking, he led his group forward.
“You think my words are just hot air?” The eighth-rank Supreme Source Realm man growled and raised his hand to strike at Billy with a wave of energy.
“Get lost!” Harleen frowned slightly and flipped her wrist, sending out an attack as well.
The two attacks collided and both parties retreated several meters evenly matched.
Harleen’s current cultivation could reach fifth-rank Supreme Source Realm when she activated her bloodline power. Even a casual strike was enough to contend with an eighth-rank opponent.
“Hmm?” The eighth-rank Supreme Source Realm man steadied himself and frowned slightly. “You have some skill. Let’s go again!”
As he spoke, he disappeared from his original spot and formed a violent seal with his hands, causing fierce winds in the void.
Korbin Savage didn’t stop him, probably intending to show Billy’s group some color.
“Harleen, kill him!” Billy said calmly.
“Okay!” Harleen replied while taking out her sword from her storage ring.
In an instant, a sword force flashed towards the opponent like lightning. His attack shattered instantly as the sword force pierced through his throat.
Gurgle! Gurgle!
The man collapsed after opening his mouth but his soul escaped with a look of horror on his face.
“Hmm?!”
Seeing this scene, Korbin Savage and his followers were equally shocked and incredulous.
Clearly underestimated them!
“Bastard! You killed him! Die!” The half-step Condensed Kun Realm elder roared angrily and charged at Harleen with raised hands.
“Attack! Kill them all!” The other eighth-rank Supreme Source Realm man shouted simultaneously.
Whoosh!
All thirty or forty people launched their attacks simultaneously and charged towards Billy’s group…
