CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR.

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Alora’S POV.
After many hours of assuring Jayce that I was fine enough to face Skye and Tania, he has finally brought me to the dungeon so I can talk to them.
When he told me Tania was the brain behind the plan to have me killed, I was shaken. Right now, I’m actually still trembling out of shock and disbelief. All the good memories I had with Lous haven flooded my mind for hours now and I’ve been asking myself one question:
Where did I go wrong?
What did I do to make her hate me so much that she planned to kill me?
Jayce wanted to answer those questions on her behalf, but I refused.
I want to hear from her own mouth why she wants me dead.
“Alpha Jayce, Luna Alora, the two girls are here.” A guard announces from the door and Alpha Jayce looks down at me.
“Are you ready?” He asks and I calmly nod my head.
“Yes.” I replied. He looks at the guard and nods his head.
“Bring them in.” He instructs and almost immediately, both Skye and Tania are ushered into the room by two female guards with their hands cuffed.
Seeing Skye, knowing that wants me dead doesn’t affect me as much as knowing that Tania wants me dead.
I’ve always known that Skye hates me with passion and I learned to dislike her as well, but for Tania…
Tania has completely shattered my heart into pieces.
She was my friend. I loved her. We’ve had very good moments together. I could swear on my life that she considered me her best friend, just like I did her, but I just realised how wrong I was.
Once the girls are seated on the other side of the table, I look up at Alpha Jayce who is giving them scornful looks.
Skye’s gaze can’t even meet with his.
It had better not.
“I would like to speak with them alone.” I tell him calmly. He agrees with a calm nod and leaves with the guards.
With the way Skye and Tania are looking at me, I’d be dead by now if their hands and feet weren’t cuffed.
“If you have anything to say to us, you can say it already and leave!” Skye fires at me. I’m not even surprised.
I fold my arms over my breast and lean against the backrest of the chair I’m seated on.
Her words and scornful glare have no effect on me. It’s the fact that Tania is looking me straight into my eyes with no iota of guilt on her face that’s making me want to burst into tears right now.
She’s not remorseful about what she did.
I ignore Skye’s rude statement and focus my attention on Tania who’s looking at me like she wants to eat me alive.
“Tania. Where did I go wrong?” I ask as calmly as I can.
Despite the anger I’m feeling in my heart towards her, I still can’t bring myself to raise my voice against her because of how much I used to love her.
I never expected this from Tania.
“Showing up in this pack was the wrong move you made.”
“But I found my mate and he happened to be Alpha Jayce. What was I supposed to do when he wanted to bring me over here, say no?”
“Don’t know, don’t care!” She replies in the lost nonchalant tone ever. I can’t even believe Tania seared in front of me is the same Tania I was with at the mall a few hours ago.
It’s like they are two different people!
“Why do you even hate me Tania?”
“Because you snatched my friend’s man. Yes! I’m talking about Alpha Jayce. Skye and Alpha Jayce were happy together until the day he brought you here. He dumped her like she was some trash all because of you. She’s in pain now because of you. That’s why I hate you!”
“You’ve always hated me, haven’t you? You approached me on purpose. You begged me to choose you as my personal servant because you wanted to be close to me. All this time, you’ve been pretending to like me. To be my friend!” I’m trying very hard to stop my voice breaking as I speak.
Tania’ betrayal is breaking my bones into pieces.
Before now, I had felt everything, but betrayal and I must confess that it sucks.
It sucks to be betrayed by someone you considered your friend.
I breathe in and out, my eyes not leaving Tania’ face.
“That incident at the pool, you had a hand in it, didn’t you?”
“I would’ve pushed you myself and made it look like an accident if you didn’t trip. You are lucky your mate showed up and saved you.”
I want to slap her. Pull her hair. Ram her face into a nearby wall. I want to make her feel the pain clawing at my heartstrings right now because of the words she is carelessly spewing at me.
She’s evil.
She’s the devil.
She’s worse than Skye.
The devil you know…
“If you have nothing reasonable to ask or say to us, kindly instruct the guards to take us away because I’m bored of your presence.” That’s Skye.
I ignored her as usual. My eyes are still glued to Tania who’s now smiling at me.
She’s not even scared of the punishment she’s about to receive because of her actions. The look on her face tells me she enjoyed every bit of what she did to me.
Making a fool out of me. Deceiving me. Plotting to have me killed. Shattering my heart into pieces.
She enjoyed every bit of it all.
I can’t stand seeing her anymore so I rise to my feet and exit the room with my chest rising and falling as I take fast, deep breaths. By the time I step out, I’m hyperventilating and crying and wheezing and choking. Alpha Jayce quickly comes over and takes me away.
I’m never going to get over this betrayal.
*********************************************
Jayce’S POV.
“Have them banished from this castle and make sure to give them several months of the hardest labour possible!” I tell Lloyd before leaving the dungeon.
I am thoroughly pissed off and that’s because both Skye and Tania keep denying the fact that they have other people working on their team.
I know they aren’t working alone. There must be someone else on their team and I suspect that person to be Jovan, but without any proof, I cannot point accusing fingers at him.
My initial plan was to have them both sentenced for at least ten years in prison, but Reed asked me to do otherwise. He advised me to banish them from the pack and have them subjected to hard labour and also monitored because they are the only ones who could lead us to the real person we want to catch.
If I have them locked up, there’s no way they could meet, but if they are free, they will always find a way to meet up and cook up more schemes and frol there, we can find out who the brain is behind these multiple schemes.
“How did it go?” Alora asks the moment I walk into our bedroom. I sigh and shake my head.
“Not good. As expected, they both blatantly refused to admit they have anyone else on their team, so I’ve set Reed’s plan in motion.”
“You had them banished.” I nod.
“Yeah. I did. Reed has arranged for some trusted officials to monitor them every moment while they are away, so, we hope to get something from that end while we try to investigate on our own over here.” I sit on the bed and she does the same.
I’m stressed.
I’m physically, psychologically and emotionally stressed.
Why won’t these people leave my mate and I alone?
“Hey.” She calls calmly and my body tenses when I feel her touch on my shoulder. I look up and my eyes meet with hers. “Everything is going to be alright. I’m sure of that.”
“I hope it does, baby, because this is getting out of hand. It’s unfair that these things always happen to us.”
“Come here.” She takes me into my arms and I melt like butter when she threads her fingers into my hair. The feeling is comfortable and at the same time, exquisite.
This…
What Alora and I have…
I’m never going to let anyone take it away from us.
I will fight for our union until my last breath!
