Jovan’S POV.
Every encounter I have with Reed makes me hate him even more.
His sarcasm is annoying. The cocky smirk he wears whenever he’s taunting me makes me want to burn his face with acid.
He is the bane of my mission to kill Jayce!
I won’t rest until he is out of my way.
My phone buzzes in my pocket and I quickly take it out. A smile forms on my face when I see Lloyd’s number on the caller ID. I quickly answer the call and press the phone against my ear.
“Lloyd.”
“I’m downstairs.” Then the call ends.
I’m not even surprised.
I rise from the sofa and head out of my bedroom.
I called a meeting today with Skye, Tania and Lloyd so we can all sit to discuss our next move and in this meeting, there’s a major introduction that has to be made.
Up till now, Skye and Tania have no idea Lloyd, the Beta of the pack is working with us. I can not wait to see the shocking look on their faces when they find out that he is on our side.
The thought of that makes me smile as I descend the staircase.
When I get to the living room, I find Lloyd already waiting for me in the sitting area. Skye and Tania haven’t arrived yet, but they will, soon.
“Have you been waiting for long?” I ask as I approach Lloyd. He rises from his seat and stretches his arm out to me for a handshake. I gladly take it.
“No. I just arrived. Can we get on with the meeting?”
“Not yet. Two more people will be joining us.”
“Two more people?” He asks, surprised. I smile.
“Yes. Girls. You know them.”
“I know them?” The look in his eyes is priceless. It makes me chuckle in amusement.
“Yes, you do.”
And just then, Skye and Tania are ushered into the living room through my special backdoor by one of my trusted guards. Lloyd’s face drops to the floor.
Both Skye and Tania have the same shocked looked on their faces. They have frozen in their tracks. Right now, one can walk into my living room and think I’ve organized a staring competition.
“Guys.” I call, trying to ease the tension in the room. They all look at me with horror filled eyes.
“What’s going on here?” Skye is the first to break the silence. Lloyd’s eyes are asking me the same question.
“Why don’t we all take a seat first?” I ask, gesturing to the sitting area. Skye and Tania exchange worried glances before coming over to join Lloyd and I.
They are nervous and I completely understand.
It’s not everyday you see a Beta campaigning for his Alpha’s downfall.
Once we are all settled down, I clear my throat to address the situation.
“You all must be shocked.” My eyes ping-pong from Skye to Lloyd and then to Tania. “I was going to introduce you all earlier, but things came popping up and I couldn’t, but, here we are. All you need to know is that everyon sitting here is on the same side. We all want to bring down Alpha Jayce from that throne and we work together, we can make that dream of ours come to pass.”
“A question.” Says Lloyd, giving Skye an intense look. He doesn’t seem to trust her and neither does she.
“Go ahead.”
“Skye. Since when did you want Alpha Jayce’s downfall? I thought you were in love with him.”
“Since the moment he chose that lowlife over me and I want him dethroned because only then will I have a chance with him.” Lloyd chuckles and shakes his head.
“How romantic.” Skye casts him a frown. That’s my cue to intervene.
“Hey… hey… we aren’t here to judge each other’s motives for doing this. Everyone’s reason is good enough for them and we all should respect that. All we have to do is work together to do what we want to do.”
Lloyde calmly nods his head and so do Skye and Tania.
“You are right.” He rubs his palms together and leans against the chair. “Let’s ride on with the important aspects of the meeting. I have very limited time on my plate.”
Lloyd and his issue of limited time.
I clear my throat and rise to my feet.
“The next attack will be on Alora, again.” I look at them all. Skye nods her head.
“I thought the same and I came up with a plan. Tania and I figured out something and managed to come up with a plan on how it can go.”
“Do you mind sharing?”
“Not at all.” She turns to Tania who has a confident smile on her face.
I just remembered that I have plans to fuck her one of these days.
“Tania, tell them.” Skye urges. Tania smiles and clears her throat.
“The thing is, since I’m Alora’s personal maid, I follow everywhere. I know her schedules, I know what she does at every time of the day and with that knowledge, we can find the right time to do anything we want with her.”
“Yes…” Skye chips in. “And we thought that planning a strike during one of her mall visits would be perfect. She could be ambushed in the restroom, you know… a plan like that can be made.” Skye adds, looking from Lloyd to me.
It sounds like a great plan to me.
“On which particular day does he go shopping?” Lloyd asks. He’s interested in their plan. That’s a good thing.
“On Wednesdays. We go for a ride around town and she always stops at the mall to get a few things and while there, I can make sure she goes to the restroom so the plan can be carried out.”
Both Lloyd and I nod our heads.
I clear my throat and take my seat.
“Do you think this coming Wednesday will do?” I ask, looking her staright in the eye. She nods her head in agreement.
“Yes. It will be perfect!”
“Good.” I turn to Lloyd. “What do you think?”
“I think it’s a great idea, but the thing is, where will we get men to carry execute the plan? We can’t get guards or soldiers. They are loyal to Alpha Jayce and we most certainly can’t do it ourselves.”
“I’m well aware of that, but trust me, I’ve got this covered. I’m an Alpha too and I have soldiers and guards who are loyal to me. I will send them on this mission.” He calmly nods his head in approval.
“That’s perfect then.” He rises to his feet.
His time is up.
“I’ll take my leave now. Call me if something else comes up.”
“I will do just that.” Then he leaves. The moment he exits the living room, Skye calls my name.
“Alpha Jovan. Do you think getting Beta Lloyd on our team is a smart move? I mean, he is the fucking Supreme Beta. He couldn’t possibly betray the Alpha.”
“Well, he already has! Trust me girls, Lloyd is one hundred percent on our side. I saw it, I knew it before approaching him, so relax.” She shrugs and exhales heavily.
“If you say so.” They both rise from their seats and bow to me. “We’ll take our leave now. Have a nice day, Alpha Jovan.”
“Good bye, Alpha.” Tania adds and as they turn to leave, I almost ask her to stay, but then I remember that I have already booked three girls for tonight and they will be arriving soon.
Some other time.
One thing for sure is that I’m going to get into her pants, like I’ve done with her friend, Skye.
Yes, I have slept with my brother’s girl before and that’s why I’m positive that I’m going to do the same with Alora, his mate.
