CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Skye’S POV.
“She called you to come help her choose her outfit for the upcoming party?” I scream at the top of my voice in anger when Tania tells me what she was up to the entire day yesterday. I’m threading my fingers through my hair and start pacing about in my bedroom like a mad woman. I am enraged and jealous. I want to kill Alora right now.
“How dare she? Who the fuck does she think she is?”
“Trust me Skye, this whole Luna issue is gradually getting into her head. She’s getting more confident as the days go by and that is not a good thing for you. You have to start planning to do something pretty soon. You needed to see how she was ordering the crew to get things done for her. It was annoying!” Tania laments and I totally understand what she is talking about.
I wasn’t even there to see Alora act all high and mighty and I’m this furious, what of Tania who was there the entire time? God knows I would’ve lost my shit and done something outrageous. I stop pacing and go over to the bed to sit on it.
Tania is right. Alora is growing more confident as the days go by. Something has to be done soon before she becomes unstoppable. I have to do something! But I have no idea what to do!
“You should have convinced her to choose the ugliest dress there was.”
“Trust me girl, there was no ugly dress there. I have never seen such beautiful and expensive clothes before. Some of the shoes had diamonds on them and the jewellery…. The jewellery! I have never seen so much gold and diamond accessories in my life. She has got it all. Lucky bitch”
She calmly explains and I almost explode with jealousy.
Alora doesn’t deserve any of those things. I do. For five years, Alpha Jayce never ordered a fashion crew to come serve me at home. He only ever gave me a credit card to go shopping, another of the privileges I’ve lost because of Alora.
Words cannot even begin to explain how much I hate that girl. I swear I’m going to kill her with my bare hands.
“Do you want to know some other annoying thing about that entire shopping spree?”
“It’s definitely going to worsen my mood, but shoot.”
“Those crew members adore her. Everyone in the castle adores her. They treat like she’s some special gem they have found and cannot afford to lose. The moment she calls, maids scurry over and bow down to her, ready to execute any command she gives. How won’t she grow confident when she gets that kind of treatment on a daily basis?”
I scream.
I scream so loud and hard, my throat almost bursts.
I curl my fists by my side. Anger is surging through my veins. My entire body is shaking with rage. I swear to God I’m going to rip Alora apart with my bare hands when I get the chance.
“I’m going to kill her.”
“You should. You definitely should, because I do not want a tramp like her to rule over me. She’s a worthless piece of trash.”
I slump on my bed and hold my head in my hands. I need to think.
I need to think.
“Hey.” Tania calls calmly as she places her hand on my shoulder. I shake my head and break into tiny sobs. “Hey… don’t cry. We’re gonna sort this out together.” I turn to face her. There’s tears leaking down from my eyes. I swallow the painful lump in my throat and sniffle.
“Why did it have to get to this level? Why do I have to fight to get my way? Why did the moon goddess not pair me with him? Why did she choose someone else? Am I not good enough? Am I not pretty enough? What is wrong with me? Why aren’t I the chosen one?” I ask in tears. Tania pulls me into her arms and calmly strokes my hair.
“You are good enough, Skye. You are way better than Alora that’s why we are going to make this work. I promise.” She keeps stroking my hair and I keep sobbing.
I have been holding it in for way too long. I needed to let it out.
Alora has no idea what is coming her way.
********************************************
Alora’S POV.
Alpha Jayce was long gone when I woke up this morning. I slept till midday and the first thing I did when I woke up was run into the closet to check if the clothes were still in their place. I smiled when I found them still properly organised in the closet.
The closet looks so different now. It used to be filled with suits and shirts and jeans and every other kind of men’s outfit and had a dark aesthetic, but now, it’s so colourful and I wonder how that makes Alpha Jayce feel.
Does he like it?
I’m sure he doesn’t, but he just has to deal with it. After all, It wouldn’t be so if he had assigned me my own bedroom. This is the price he has to pay for having me here.
After taking my shower and eating lunch, I decide to go for a walk. It’s one day to the party and I’m feeling nervous. I try not to think about it, but I can’t. It’s going to be a big deal and I’m scared I might mess things up.
“Alora.” I almost faint. I turn around to see who just called me out of nowhere and I’m disappointed to see Jovan walking towards me.
I remember the last conversation we had. It wasn’t pleasant at all. He threatened to chew me and slapped my butt. I don’t like being around him.
“Or should I say, Luna Alora.” He stops before me. I take a step back. He chuckles. It’s not funny. “Are you scared of me?” I don’t reply. “You ratted me out to my brother the last time we spoke. That wasn’t cool at all.”
“You think touching me inappropriately was cool?” I look straight into his eyes as I ask that question. He chuckles.
“Wow! Look who’s gaining some confidence.”
“You made me understand from our previous encounter that I would be preyed on if I don’t toughen up, so I decided to take your advice.” His eyes widened in surprise. He definitely wasn’t expecting that.
Yes! Take that, bitch!
“Wow!” He exclaims, looking around. “You have gotten fierce! I like that.”
“Do you?” I fold my arms over my breasts and flash him a perfect fake smile.
“You think this is funny?” He frowns. My heart is supposed to be beating fast. I’m supposed to be scared right now because I don’t know what he’s planning to do to me, but I’m not and I don’t know why.
I’m freaking out internally, not because he’s trying to intimidate me, but because I’m not scared of him anymore. This is wild.
“You think you can challenge me and go Scott free?”
“Yes, she can. Step away from her before I gauge out your eyeballs.” Jovan’s face darkens. I turn around to see who just spoke and my breath hitches when I see the almighty Omega, standing a few metres away from me.
Why are we always intersecting with each other in these premises?
This is the third time in a row.
“Here to defend your little miss Luna.” Jovan shakes his head. “You all are really pathetic.” He walks away, frowning like a teenager who just got grounded.
I swear to God Jovan is so lame, it’s embarrassing.
“Out alone again?” Reed asks and I nod my head. “Avoid walking out here without guards or at least, your personal maids. It’s dangerous. Your self-righteousness will only put you in danger.“ He starts walking away.
Between him and Jovan, I’m not sure who I ate the most.
He’s an annoying prick.
