Andre’s POV
My eyes were locked on the screen as the footage played in front of me, and I could barely breathe.
My heart jumped in my throat, and I went pale in horror. What was this?
The video played and I was worried to see Olivia tied up. I squeezed the phone harder, threatening to crush it under my grip. What were they doing to her?
I watched as they gripped her hair tightly and tossed her around. They touched her and stroked her cheeks. One of them placed his lips close to her ear and said something that made her flinch.
“Those bastards!”
My hands shook in horror and anger. Who could have done this? Who could have had the audacity to send me this video?
I heard footsteps behind me and felt a hand on my shoulder.
“Alpha is everything… Oh my God!”
Pierre shrieked. His eyes were transfixed on my phone as he watched in shock the cruel treatment of the pack’s Luna. His face was bright red, and he began to heave angrily.
“We will get whoever did this. We will make them pay.”
I ignored him, however, and continued to stare at my phone. None of this made any sense. Who could have done this? Why did he do it?
My surprise slowly morphed into anger and my hand shook as I gripped my phone even tighter.
“No! No! No!!”
I could hear the murmurs of my men behind me, and I could feel their stunned stares.
I gripped my phone tightly and tossed it down the hallway. It hit the wall and multiplied into pieces as it shattered.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, adjusting my suit and tie. None of this made any sense. I knew that the video was authentic and I was determined to find out who sent it.
I turned around and looked at my men and their expressions were all expected.
They were all agitated and ready to fight; Sephora had a scowl on her face, and her hard eyes were awaiting my orders.
I knew that they all had heard the sounds, but they all tried their best to maintain composure.
On the other hand, Jonas’ family looked at me in disgust. Jonas had a smug look on his face that he tried to hide in stoicism. His sister, Lilian, looked devastated. His brothers could barely say anything, and Hailey, his younger sister, was on her knees, covering her face with her hands and sobbing loudly.
“I believe we should take our leave now,” said Alpha Donovan as he led his family out of the lobby.
I ignored them as they left. I didn’t have time to tussle them. I had to focus on finding Olivia.
“Pierre.”
“Yes, sir.”
He straightened up and tried his best to keep a straight face as he stared back at me. I couldn’t blame his fury as he had seen the video and I knew it was something that was agitated for a long time.
“I need you to make a call for me.”
Pierre fumbled a bit but whipped out his phone.
“I need you to call for backup. Arrange all our associates in Elvis Pine and the neighbouring packs. We’re going to move and strike fast. I will need all available hands on deck, and I need them ready in about ten minutes.”
“Yes, Sir. Right away, Sir.”
Pierre’s fingers dialled on the keypad at blazing speed, and he went into a quiet corner to make the calls.
I sighed, and she shook her head. Then, she whipped out my second phone from my other pocket and began to dial another number.
It didn’t take long for the call to connect, and a deep voice came from the other end.
“Alpha Andre, it’s been a while. So good to hear from you.”
The voice on the other end was distinguished and polite, and a little smile curled my lips.
“It’s nice to hear from you too. Business has been keeping me very busy.”
“Then it seems right for me to suspect that it’s business that prompted you to make a call. Am I right?”
I smirked and shook my head slowly.
“Have you ever missed a step? I need to call in on a favour you owe me.”
The voice on the other end chuckled.
“You have always been a strong-headed one. Your father rubbed off well on you. What’s in it for me, though?”
I smirked. Typical him.
“Glory. I believe you haven’t gotten too soft over the years. I can throw in a little bloodshed at the side if everything doesn’t go according to plan. I figured that you’d want to experience a little excitement.”
There was silence for a while, and then the voice on the other end spoke.
“A very tempting offer. I’ll take it. Just tell me what you need me to do.”
My lips cracked into an even wider smile.
“I’ll give you further instructions soon. Thank you again for supporting me.”
The line went dead, and almost at the same time, Pierre took the phone from his ear and turned to me.
“I have made calls to all your associates in the neighbouring packs. They are all awaiting further instructions from you.”
I nodded my head and adjusted the cuffs of my suit.
“Excellent. I’ll forward the necessary instructions in due time. They just need to be patient and be on high alert. We move once I give the signal.”
I could feel the tension that followed. Everyone was restless and waiting for me to divulge my plan.
It was Pierre who finally took the initiative to speak up.
“Alpha, what are we going to do? You have a plan for rescuing Olivia?”
I lowered my head, and a shadow of grimness hung over me.
“We are going to do everything we can. We’re going to do everything within our power to get Olivia back. And if those bastards are the ones responsible for her disappearance, I will stop at nothing until their entire pack is burned down to the ground. I swear on my life…”
