Andre’s POV
“Fuck you! Get your hands off me! How dare you?! I am your Luna! Fuck off!”
I stood in the dark and damp basement, waiting. I could hear her voice screaming as they brought her down here. I was waiting for her. I stood near the only source of light available: a dim candle.
The screaming and struggling drew closer and closer, and I braced myself to meet her.
The men came in and threw her on the floor in front of me.
“Oufff!”
She groaned in pain and tried to figure out where she was. She had a sack over her head, and all she could probably see was pitch black, except for the candle’s bright glow.
The men grabbed her again and forced her on her knees. She struggled and tried to beat them away, but her hands were tied.
I walked up to her and yanked the sack off her head. She blinked hard as she saw the room she was in for the first time.
“Andre?!”
“Hello, Nicole.”
My voice was expressionless and cold. She looked around the room, but she couldn’t figure out where she was.
“What is this? Where am I? And why the fuck did you bring me back?!”
She tried to charge angrily towards me, but the men held her back and forced her back on her knees.
“What is this, Andre?! I left! I removed myself from your life just like you wanted so that you can flaunt around with that bitch that I call my daughter. Why did you bring me back?! I have no business with you!”
She finally was silent apart from her angry breathing that echoed in the dark basement.
“That is where you are wrong, Nicole. We have more business to finish than you realise.”
She didn’t take kindly to my words and snarled back at me. I ignored her and took a threatening step forward.
“Since you choose to act dumb like you don’t understand what I’m talking about, let me enlighten you a little bit. You have business with me concerning my wife.”
Nicole’s snarling face turned to one of surprise and shock as her eyes washed over me.
She scoffed.
“Your wife? And might I ask when that happened?”
I felt a smirk curl on my lips as I looked at her bewildered face.
“I guess I forgot that since you left, you would be a little outdated on the news. I proposed to Olivia, and she said ‘yes’.”
I took a step forward again, and soon, I was right in front of her and looking down at a miserable face.
“I placed a ring on my woman’s finger, and we will be getting married very soon.”
Nicole glared at me, and we locked eyes on each other. Suddenly, she burst out laughing.
“It seems that somebody skipped an English class back in high school. She isn’t your wife yet, Andre. She’s just your fiancee. I expect that you keep that in mind. Imagine what the council will think when they find out that their Alpha is not up to date on proper English terms.”
The swipe that she took at me had no effect on me, and I simply continued to stare emotionlessly at her.
“Wife or not, it is higher than what you will ever get, bitch.”
She screamed and tried again to charge towards me, but the men kept her on her knees and pinned her to the ground.
“You are an ungrateful beast, Andre! A hateful and disgusting person!”
I scoffed.
“Hateful? Ha! You only think that I am hateful because I wouldn’t settle for trash. Like you!”
My loud voice sent shivers down her spine, and she looked at me fearfully.
I calmed down slightly and took a step back so that I could take her in.
“Now, back to the business on ground.”
My eyes narrowed on her.
“I think you already know why you are here.”
She stammered and trembled.
“N… no. I don’t know why I’m here. Why am I here?”
I scowled.
“Don’t lie to me!”
“I’m not lying! I don’t know why I am here.”
I walked up to her and bent my face to nearly reach hers.
I knew she couldn’t feel my hot, angry breath. She had better tell me the truth, or she was going to get it.
“In that case, I will ask you the simple question. I will only say it once, and you had better answer it truthfully.”
She gulped in fear, and I saw my green eyes reflect in her eyes.
“Are you Olivia’s real mother?”
Her face changed almost instantly in shock. I seemed to enjoy the look of fear in her eyes.
Slowly, her eyes began to narrow, and she began to swear loudly.
“Fuck! That bastard sold me out! How dare he?!”
I rolled my eyes and she was silenced immediately.
“No one sold you out. Not everyone is a villainous backstabber like you.”
“Then how did you find out?” She snapped back angrily.
I exhaled and readjusted my tie.
“You must think that I am stupid. Even a blind man could tell. I see the way that you treat her and my suspicions were confirmed the day that you left the pack. How many sensible mothers leave their daughters and run away?”
I glared and her and moved dangerously close.
“I will only ask you again. Are you Olivia’s mother? And you better give me the answer I’m looking for.”
Nicole was silent. She turned her head away from me and looked at the dark ground. I waited patiently for her to answer. My fingers were already balled into a fist. If she dared lie to me, she was going to get what was coming to her.
Finally, she looked up at me with no remorse on her face.
“Do you really think that I could be the mother to a bitch like her? I may not be the woman that you want, but I don’t think I can stoop so low to raise a slut like her.”
My palm landed hotly on her cheek, and the force made her fall to the ground.
She was in pain, but she couldn’t rub the stinging area because her hands were tied.
“You bastard!”
“The very next time you say something like that about my woman, a slap will be the least of your worries. I will make sure you experience all seven circles of hell here on earth. Do you understand me?”
She lay quietly on the floor and said nothing. I still had lots of questions to ask her.
She was going to be here for a while.
