Olivia’s POV
My heart began to beat rapidly. I searched his face for signs that he might be angry with me, but I didn’t see any.
He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.
“I was planning to tell you about the outcome of the meeting with the council.”
I took a deep breath. I already knew that the council didn’t approve of me. It was easy to imagine their bad news; I doubted they had anything nice to say to me.
“Well, what did they say about me?”
I braced myself for the worst and listened to Andre speak.
“They said that you are young and will not be able to draw the respect of the pack members. They also heard about your school fight and were really unhappy.”
His hands ran through my hair, and he gave me a light smile. I blushed slightly and looked away. Of course, the council would have heard about my scuffle with those bitches. But they had it coming.
“Is there anything else that they said?”
I was not willing to hear more at this point. I could already tell their stand when it came to me.
“Well,” Andre started. “They said that you need to prove that you are able to command the respect of the female wolves before they will consider making you the Luna of this pack. I told them you are already training, and they seemed content. They all quietened after.”
I gave a weak smile and looked away. I was a cocktail of emotions. I was unhappy that the council saw me as an immature girl unfit to run a pack. But I couldn’t blame them. They were right, and all they were doing was making sure that the pack was safe.
“You have a lot to work on, Olivia. You need to focus on your training a lot.”
“I know,” I agreed silently as I rolled off his chest and lay beside him.
I was miserable. Andre was taking heat from the council, and it was all because of me.
I felt an arm wrap around me and pull me close. All my emotions bubbled to the top as I lay in Andre’s warm embrace.
“I have been thinking about it all day, you know. While I was training, my female instructor seemed to doubt my ability. She wasn’t impressed with anything I did. I want the pack to respect us and what we have. I don’t want to let you down, Andre. I am a little scared, but I believe that I can do it.”
He smiled widely and pulled me closer to him. My face was buried in his warm and hard chest, and his scent filled my nostrils with a pleasant smell.
“Hey, you don’t need to force it and beat yourself up about it. It is going to take time to draw in members of the pack. But when you are at your best, it will come naturally.”
I chuckled.
“Is that how you got them to respect you? You said you became Alpha at a very young age.”
Andre smiled naughtily.
“Actually, I used mind control to make them obey my every command. That was how I was able to build a successful pack.”
I tried to stifle the laughter, but it burst out when I heard the joke.
He waited for me to end my giggling before his lips came on mine to brand his pride in my effort into my heart.
“You are going to make an amazing Luna,” he groaned softly against my lips as he held me close.
Finally, he pulled away, and we stared at each other, evidently lost in each other’s eyes. I was so happy that he was proud of me, and it felt like the disdain I got from people didn’t feel that bad as long as he was with me.
“There is one more thing, kitten. I need you to show me those notes that you said that you got from your stalker.”
I was surprised at his request, but I didn’t hesitate to get out of bed and fetch them. I had saved them in a little box that contained perfume. I took them out and spread them on the bed.
I looked at them, and a shiver ran down my spine. Seeing all of them again made me nervous. The stalker had still not been caught, and for all we knew, he or she could be watching us right now.
Andre’s eyes were fixed on the paper. His brow was furrowed as his eyes darted across each line.
“This person has some nerve. The handwriting doesn’t, however, seem familiar to me. I was hoping to recognise it at a glance, but I can’t tell who they are from.”
He stared hard at the paper again, but there was still nothing. He looked up at me, and it was possible that he had noticed how scared I was. I didn’t like to relive these past memories.
“I’ll take one to run an analysis on the handwriting. We are going to find out who wrote these and gave them to you.”
He took a note and stuffed it into the pocket of his trousers, which was on the corner of the bed, while I put back the rest of the notes.
We finally lay back and continued to cuddle. I relish his warm embrace, and my legs rub together restlessly.
“Are you alright, Kitten?”
I groaned a yes, but Andre wasn’t convinced. He sat up and looked down at me, surveying my tense body with a look of wonder.
“You are horny, aren’t you Olivia?”
I went red in the face. My thighs were moist with my juices, but how dare he assume that I was horny.
“I’m not…”
He grabbed me, and in a split second, I was pinned to the bed, and he was looking down at me with a smirk.
“Don’t lie to me, kitten. I can smell your arousal. We just fucked, and you still want more. You are very greedy, princess.”
I blushed and turned away.
I was really horny, and having him on top of me like this wasn’t making things any easier for me.
“Olivia, you want me, don’t you?”
Andre sounded very proud of himself as he looked at me with a mischievous grin.
“Fine.
I finally conceded defeat.
“I am horny, but I guess we can blame it on your skills in bed.”
He lowered his head to mine and kissed me full on the lips.
“Well, how about we settle this little dilemma of yours.”
His fingers travelled down my stomach, and I erupted into moans. It felt so wonderful.
Fuck! I was so lucky to have someone like Andre.
