Book:Alpha Stepfather Is My Mate! Published:2024-11-20

Olivia’s POV
My heart stopped beating, and I stared at him dumbfounded. He wanted to tell everyone about us already?
“Kitten?”
“Andre, I… I… I’m not ready. I don’t think that I can do it. It’s too soon, and so much has happened. You saw the way my mom reacted, and…
I couldn’t help babbling. A few minutes ago, I was soliloquising about how I was ready to accept him as my mate, but now my feet had gotten cold, and I was backing away.
My rambling continued, but I soon felt a soft finger press against my lips, silencing me.
“Shhhhh, kitten. You’re overthinking this.”
I felt my eyes become moist, and I slowly removed Andre’s fingers from my lips.
“Andre, I’m not ready…”
“Princess, you would never be ready if I left it to you. There is no better time than the present.”
He stroked my cheek with his thumb, which slowly moved down to my lips. His touch was soft and reassuring, melting away my doubts.
“I know that you are scared, and it’s alright. You just need to remember that I will be by your side. I won’t let anyone hurt you. You just have to trust me”
He took my hand and brought it to his lips to kiss my skin softly.
“You do trust me, don’t you?”
I blushed and lowered my head shyly.
“I… I trust you, Andre.”
He held my chin and tilted my face upwards. His green eyes bore into mine, and I felt him read the deepest desires of my soul.
“That’s all I want to hear.”
His deep, husky voice made me shiver in delight. I loved the way he sounded when he spoke to me. He made me feel desired and sexy.
I held his arm tenderly, and my eye caught sight of his injuries again.
“You still didn’t tell me what happened to you.”
He broke into his triumphant smile and pinched my cheek.
“You really don’t have to worry about me. You should have seen the other guy. He was a mess.”
My eyes grew wide, and I stared at him in horror.
“There was another guy?! Andre! You got into a fight?! How?! Why?!”
The questions were tumbling out of my mouth; I couldn’t stop them. Andre didn’t make things any easier for me, and he continued to smile proudly and triumphantly.
“You should be happy. I came back in one piece. At least you know that your mate isn’t weak.”
His voice oozed confidence, which made me swoon. The Goddess had really blessed me with him.
“Alright, Mr. Strong-guy, go and get cleaned up. I just want to know that you’re alright.”
He winked at me and began to take off his clothes. Perhaps I should have looked away and acted maturely, but I ogled his body shamelessly. My eyes feasted on his muscular torso. I enjoyed watching every muscle twitch.
I could feel his eyes staring at me, but I didn’t care. He truly was a masterpiece. I seductively bit my bottom lip; the dirty thoughts rushed in again, and I made no attempt to push them away.
My eyes watched as he took off his trousers, and I nearly drooled as I saw his cock. My body felt hot, and my pussy felt cold and empty. I wanted him to…
I was taken unawares, and a kiss was stolen from me. Andre kissed me passionately, and as I tried to wrap my arms around his neck, he pinned my arms to the side.
“When you bite your lip, it does things to me.”
His husky voice filled my ear, and it drew a soft moan from me before he pulled away.
I was light-headed. I was drunk in his presence, and I saw the satisfaction on his face as he saw the effect he had on me.
He gave me a wink, and with nothing else, he strode into the bathroom.
Once I heard the shower water, I was jerked back to my senses. I groaned and gripped the sheets.
What was wrong with me? I had completely lost my composure in front of him. He still made my legs feel like jelly.
His shower was short, and I turned away as soon as I saw him walking back to the room.
I heard him chuckle lightly, but he didn’t say anything to me. There was silence in the room, interrupted by the rustling of clothes.
I soon couldn’t take it anymore and turned to look at him. He was dressed in a fancy suit and was fastening the cufflinks on his shirt.
My heart began to beat wildly. He looked almost regal. His hair was perfect, and he didn’t even look like he had gotten into a scuffle just a few minutes ago.
I felt nervous like it was my wedding day when it was only a formal introduction.
Soon, he was done, and when he turned to look at me, my face flushed, and I struggled to keep my cool.
“I think we should go. But there is one thing I have to do.”
“What?”
He walked over to me, undid the bun the maids had worked so hard to create, and allowed my hair to fall freely below my shoulders.
“I have always loved your hair this way. It makes you look irresistible.”
I giggled bashfully, and we finally left the room. We walked down the hall and suddenly bashed into Nicole.
Fuck! Not again.
“Andre, what happened? You called for an emergency meeting?”
I prayed to Selene. I wasn’t ready for Mother’s bickering right now.
“Yes, I did call for an emergency meeting. What’s the matter? Must I tell you before I arrange meetings?”
Andre snapped at her coldly, and she took a step back in shock.
“You can’t do this, Andre. We’ve been together for three years…”
“And they meant nothing to me. You need to get that into your skull.”
I trembled slightly, and my palms began to feel sweaty, and my grip on Andre tightened.
He turned away from Nicole and faced me.
“It’s alright. I’m here.”
I wanted to say something, but my mouth clamped shut. It didn’t take long for my mother to follow his gaze. Her eyes glowered at me and finally rested on my arm, which was looped through Andre’s.
“What’s going on here? What is this? Why is she dressed like that?”
Andre said nothing to her, and I gulped in fear. My mother’s eyes nearly rolled into the back of her head, and she was pale almost instantly.
“No! No, this can’t be! Don’t… Don’t tell me… All this time! You!”
My mother was shattered, and she almost began to glitch like a robot. Soon, a pair of hands grabbed her from behind. It was Pierre.
“Miss Nicole. I think you will have to leave.”
My mother wanted to curse me, but she was lost for words as Pierre dragged her away.
I stood alone with Andre in the hallway.
“Should we really be doing this? Isn’t there another way?”
“What other way is there?” Replied Andre. “It’s either Nicole or the love of my life. And I’m more than certain that I don’t want Nicole. I just want you.”
“Andre, I…”
“You said you trusted me. Please don’t go back on your word.”
He stared at me sweetly, and my doubts crumbled. My lips curled upwards, and my tension dissipated.
“Alright.”
He beamed widely, and we headed out to the garden. As we passed, all the servants stared at me, and I felt my stomach squirm. We soon reached the garden gates, and I could see a sea of heads waiting for Andre’ and me.
I took a deep breath.
This was it. There was no going back.
