Andre’s POV
I had just finished a council meeting and had barely paid attention to what was being said. Olivia had been missing for a whole day. I had not heard a word from her, not even a text.
As much as I wanted to wait, I couldn’t let any harm come to my princess. I needed to find her and have her close to me.
I exhaled deeply as I walked to my office. My mind was made up; I was going to find her, and nothing was going to stop me.
I pulled out a packed bag beside my desk and immediately headed downstairs to meet Pierre, who was waiting for me.
“Pierre, I need you to contact our men in the human cities. I need them to send me every surveillance image from the bus stop to every stop made by the bus Olivia took.”
Pierre looked horrified, took the bag from me, and placed it in the trunk with trembling hands.
“I don’t think that they will be able to get you that information so soon. There are lots of protocols that they will need to take…”
“I really don’t care, Pierre. Tell them I will foot whatever costs it will incur and pay them for the inconvenience, but I need them to send it all to me in two hours…”

We spent two hours on the road, and soon, Pierre updated me on her coordinates.
In a few minutes, we reached Casper City and saw the post office that Olivia had entered, facing the bus top.
Pierre went inside and came back almost immediately.
“The receptionist said she came in here a few days ago. She asked them to find where a letter was sent from.”
“Well,” I pushed irritably.
“She told her, and Olivia left immediately.
“However, the letter was sent from Elvis Pine County in Virginia, P. O. Box 24531.
My forehead wrinkled in concern. I turned to Pierre, and his eyes held the same worry that was filling my heart.
“It’s a pack of no return,” he stated, breaking the silence.
I agreed with him. Elvis Pine was trouble. More trouble than I wanted my Princess getting into.
“She is in deeper trouble than I thought. We have to find her before she gets there. Have you gotten the next video showing where she is? We need to stop her before she gets to Elvis Pine.”
Pierre checked his emails and looked up, “They have sent another video, Alpha…”
“Then head there next…”

The sun was going down, and we soon reached the Inn, and Pierre and I headed to the cafe.
I walked behind the cafe, having no intention of entering through the front door. I needed to find the manager.
I looked through the hallways for a long time and soon found the manager’s office.
With anger bubbling in my heart, I rudely kicked down the door, startling the man, who sat at his desk trying to file some paperwork.
Instead of fighting, he backed himself against the wall, looking at me as if I were a madman who had been sent to assassinate him.
“W… Who are you? What are you doing here?”
I bypassed the question and stomped angrily to him, grabbing him by the collar and raising him above the ground. I snarled at him, and he squirmed and whimpered in fright.
“You are the manager of this place, right?”
He nodded frantically, his airways blocked by shock and fear, making him unable to speak.
“Good. So I’m going to ask this, and I’m going to ask this only once”
I pulled out the picture from my pocket and raised it in front of his face.
“Do you know who this lady is? She has been missing for two days, and one of her stops was your cafe. Do you know where she went? Yes or no?”
I watched as beads of sweat formed on the manager’s forehead and began to run down his face the way raindrops ran down the windshield on a rainy day.
I shook him violently in anger.
“Speak! Have you seen her? Yes or no?!”
I.. I… I… I have s-s-seen h-her.”
I released my grip a little; now we were getting somewhere.
“Pierre, come through the back and find me in the manager’s office,” I told Pierre via the link.
It didn’t take up to five minutes, and soon, Pierre and I were in the same room. He was watching me lift the jelly-boned manager up in the air and interrogate him about Olivia.
“Where did she stay?” I asked, giving him a light shake to convince him to talk.
“She… She was given the spare room that we had in the basement. I heard that when she left, she didn’t take her things, so I guess they are still there.”
I narrowed my eyes on the manager in anger, and he trembled even more. He had better not be lying to me, for his sake.
“What do you mean by never ‘returned’?” asked Pierre.
“She came in with bags and worked the night shift. But she left at the end of her shift, and no one has seen her since.”
“Take us to the room,” I ordered.
I let go of the manager and stood menacingly in front of him to assert the fact that if he tried to run away, I would snap his tiny legs in two.
I sniffed the room eagerly but realised that her scent had become weak and replaced with another. She hadn’t returned to the basement, which further confirmed the manager’s story, but he wasn’t telling the whole truth. I was not satisfied. What if he had something to do with her disappearance?
I turned to him angrily and kicked him in the stomach, and he crumpled in pain to the floor.
“Where is she?! I have a feeling that you know something more about this. You better not be lying to me! Where is Olivia?!”
My anger bubbled over the top, and I could barely control myself.
“Where is she?!” I asked again.
The manager shielded his head with his arms and was begging at my feet.
“Please, I really do not know where she is. I have told you everything I know. Please, spare me.”
“You have three seconds to tell me the truth, or you can kiss your daughter goodbye.”
The man looked up at me, his face moist with tears and sweat.
“Alright, I will tell you everything I know. Just spare my daughter…”
