“I don’t know, just take it as it comes. If we really can’t make it, or our patience wears thin, we’ll just throw a drink in his face and give up on this deal.” Callie joked, showing a carefree attitude, which greatly comforted Eliza and Jade.
Sky Pavilion.
The car parked in a designated spot, and Eliza and Jade looked at the glittering sign with awe.
This was the famous club in all of Ylosea. It was said that only those with a membership card could enter, and the inside was legendary, beyond the reach of ordinary people.
“Callie, do you have a card for this place? That’s amazing,” Eliza marveled as they walked in.
Callie’s card was given by Regan. She parked the car without replying, her gaze fixed. She had just seen a figure and wasn’t sure if it was Anthony.
If it really was him, and he was here, then…
The club was just an ordinary club, albeit more upscale than others. The first floor was crowded, resembling a bar but different because most of the people here had status. Essentially, it was a playground for the rich second generation.
Above the first floor were private rooms for business and pleasure. Men and women chatted happily and often ended up in bed together. The facilities were complete, no different from a hotel.
Sky Pavilion had eight floors in total, grandly designed with an ancient charm. The floors were interconnected, making it look like a garden, hence the name Sky Pavilion.
The backyard had hot springs, in a prime location and costing a fortune to build. Only those with significant wealth could enter.
It was Callie’s first time here as well.
Eliza secretly took out her phone, snapping pictures as she followed Callie, her eyes sparkling like diamonds. They shone even brighter when Callie pulled out the membership card.
At this hour, the lights were just coming on, and there weren’t too many people yet. Callie recognized many faces from the past year. Everyone was warming up for the night’s festivities.
Callie smiled as she led them to the backyard. Several men and women were soaking in the hot spring pools, chatting and laughing amidst the steam.
Callie pushed open the door. They looked up but didn’t recognize her immediately. One of them realized and showed displeasure, “From Blank Studio, right? Regan?”
Callie kept smiling, poured drinks for their empty glasses from a tray held by a waiter, “Yes, from Blank Studio. But I’m not Regan. My name is Callie Marsh. She had something to attend to today and sent me to apologize on her behalf. Please forgive us.”
She looked beautiful and humble. Her words eased any dissatisfaction.
“I brought the project designs for your review. Please advise us.” Callie finished speaking, and Jade and Eliza quickly handed out the documents.
One of them glanced at the designs and spoke up, “No rush. Let’s discuss it while soaking. These are medicinal baths, good for health, Miss Marsh.”
The man gave her an flirtatious look, his eyes lingering on her body. Another touched Eliza’s hand, making her blush and pull away.
Callie kept smiling, “I’m not feeling well today. It’s that time of the month for women. I apologize.” She filled her glass with wine, “I toast to everyone to show my sincerity.”
After downing the drink, her face turned red, but she kept smiling. Someone clapped, “Great drinker!”
“But Miss Marsh, since you can’t join us, why not let your two assistants enjoy the hot springs? It’s hard to book a spot here at Sky Pavilion.”
