“You did?” Nova’s hands fly to her mouth. Her emotions were mixed with surprise and happiness.
“Yes, My Princess,” Marion raises her top and pulls out a phone from the side of her jeans. “I’ve been searching for over months for it, and luckily, I found it with the help of a Delta street wolf,” she hands the phone over to Nova.
“Oh, Marion,” Nova spreads her arms wide, giving Marion an embrace. “Thank you so much. This means a lot to me, Marion.”
“So what next?” I finally blurted out.
Nova breaks off the hug. She tries to turn on the phone but it isn’t coming up. “This shit is dead. How do I power it?”
“I have a charger. I got one while coming,” Marion deeps her hand in a corner of her jeans and brings out a phone charger.
Jezzz! How was she able to hide that in that position? This is a little shocking.
Marion points the charger toward Nova, giving it to her. Nova, without hesitation, rushes in the direction of a wall socket. She plugs in the charger, and connects her phone to it.
We stand, gazing at each other while we wait for the phone to turn on. Nova’s hands are clasped, her fingers locking together right in front of her. She was praying. Hoping that her phone doesn’t disappoint.
“Princess, the phone is up,” Marion calls up.
We run toward the phone, gazing over it like pups seeing a screen for the first time in their lives. The logo of the phone turns on, and then comes the light with Nova’s display picture. Excitements dance through our faces as we shoot each other a glance. Satisfied stare.
“This is all I wanted. I need to show everyone the video of that day,” Nova unplug her phone and make to start for the door.
“Not so fast, Nova. You will only get things messed up again if you hurry this way. Everyone has yet to recover from your last display, and the last they want from you is this. I suggest we look for a better way to go around this and this time, do it right,” I pull her by the arm.
“Elara is right, My Princess. Your family and everyone trust Josephine and David so much. I will suggest we take things slow,” Marion supports.
I watch as Nova drags in a lengthy breath, her head pushed upward. Silence falls upon us and stretches for a while.
“What do you suggest I do, Elara?” Nova breaks the silence.
“We. And not you. You’re not doing it alone.”
My words make her face lighten up in a smile, her lashes flutter in joy. “What should we do, Elara?”
“I have a plan. A very unique one,” a gentle smile softens my features as the most perfect idea graces my brain.
“What’s the plan?” Curiosity fills Nova’s voice.
“We don’t need to speak about it right now. Let’s focus on preparing for the Full Moon event, and don’t forget to wear the best dress.”
“Why should I? When it’s practically going to be a night filled with young wolves, who are desperate to meet their wolves and also their mates. And then we have the middle and older ones, who just stay watching, enjoying the events like it’s entertaining. Too boring for me.”
“You are the Princess of this Pack, Nova, and you have no right to complain. I mean, no one cares if you love it or not, they just want you to grace the event with your presence. Anyway, I also need to get ready. See you at the mating ground,” I blow her a hand kiss and start for the door.
The thoughts of the perfect plan I have, keep playing in my head and I can’t help but giggle to myself as I make my way back to the room. Something about me that I love so damn much- my brain works faster in difficult situations.
I know I sometimes mess things up, and end up wrong like what happened the night I tried to take my revenge on Gideon. But then, I can’t deny the fact, seven out of ten times, my plans always come out perfect.
And I trust this plan with Nova to be one of them.
“You seem happy, Elara. What’s the secret?” Alpha Arthur fixes his hands in his pockets. His eyes travel down my body, searching for something I can’t fathom.
“You are already dressed for the night.” My gaze noticed his perfect look. From his white shirt and blue cardigan, to his blue pants. His black Oxford shoes. His short hair, perfectly styled, confirming my assumption.
“Yeah. It’s been a while since I had fun under the full moon. You know we don’t get to do things like this in my Pack anymore. This is my opportunity to enjoy it before I return.”
In our pack- the NightShade Pack, there has been a lot of transformation ever since Alpha Arthur took over from his father. He made sure to abolish a lot of things and we ended up living the model lifestyle. One can easily mistake us for mere humans if we don’t get to shift in front of them.
But I love his leadership. It gave the Pack a lot of freedom.
“You look good, Alpha Arthur,” I confess my truth.
“Thanks. So what outfit do you want to change into? I have something nice that will fit you perfectly,” he heads for the wardrobe. Alpha Arthur pulls out a short black skirt, and a white tank top. “This should fit,” he hands them over to me.
My face drags into a frown as I set my eyes on the outfits. “The skirt is too short, and the top will expose a little portion of my stomach. This is too casual for me.” This is going to be uncomfortable for what I want to pull up tonight. This was what I wanted to say to Alpha Arthur but I didn’t.
I don’t want him asking weird questions.
“I will like this on you with sneakers. It will go perfectly. You do look great already, and I trust your body to kill this outfit. But if you’re not fine with it, then we can try something else,” a little sadness spreads across his face, but he instantly pushes it away.
Alpha Arthur wants me to wear this. I don’t know his reason for it but I think it will make him happy.
“I will go with the outfit, but first, I need to shower.”
His face suddenly lightens up with a smile.
I rush into the bathroom, making sure to do my business. It’s been a while and in Nova’s body, I hardly feel the urge to poop. She has a little stomach for meals, one that easily gets filled up with less than five spoons of food. So how will there be an urge to drop a bomb?
A few more seconds, I get done. Straight to the shower to have it wash my skin. The warm water did a great job in making my body warm, and my skin feel alright.
I stretch for the towel, wrap it around my chest, and make my way back to the room.
“I will help you dry your hair,” Alpha Arthur pulls out a hair dryer. Standing behind me, he helps me dry my long hair. “Are you returning to the pack with me tomorrow?” He asks a question I’m yet to have a thought about.
Actually, I know I will return but I don’t know when. At first, I wanted to rush down to the pack because of Malicia, but Alpha Arthur’s assured words made my heart settle. I can only leave this pack if my plan turns out successfully.
“I can’t say, Alpha Arthur. My hair feels dried. Thanks.”
I loosen the towel wrapping around my chest, and I throw it to the side. Standing bare before Alpha Arthur, his eyes lustfully stare at my boobs. His throat drags, and he swallows hard.
“Can I have the clothes behind you, please,” my index finger points at the clothes on the couch.
“Ahem! Yeah,” he picks them up and hands them over to me.
Instantly, I throw them on my body. Straightening up after fixing the sneakers on my feet, I gaze right at Alpha Arthur. “All set. We can leave now.”
“Leave now? Elara, y-you’re not putting on any bra or pants, and besides this skirt is quite short. The top is a bit transparent as well,” he stutters.
My hands palm my boobs, my lips press in a smile.
“What’s funny, Elara?”
“The fact you are shocked. Well, I’ve not worn any pants or bras since I woke up in Nova’s body. Don’t have the privilege of getting new ones for myself and I can’t use Nova’s.”
“Alright. It’s fine,” he utters even when his face says something else. “Let’s go,” Alpha Arthur arcs his elbow, and I slip my hand in, holding his arm.
He leads the way to the car.
We arrive at the mating/shifting ground. Everyone was already present. A lot of young males and female wolves held some glasses of drinks in celebration, as we waited for the full moon. I can’t help but gaze at the gorgeous outfits of the ladies.
This is meant to be a casual event but no. This pack members came in for business with their killing outfits.
Flames of fire go up as the woods mount together burn, giving light to the night.
Alpha Arthur suddenly leaves to meet up with Alpha Maxwell and others.
“Elara,” Nova walks up to me. She is dressed in a fine silk white gown and an almost flat pump. “When do you get to kick off your plan? Everyone is here. You know the Full Moon will soon surface and the environment will be filled with distraction. This is our best time to strike,” she informs.
“Where is your phone?”
She hands it over to me.
“I can have access to your contacts, right?”
“Yes.”
I drag out a loud sigh, fixing my mind in place, before setting out to start my mission.
