Over the years, she had contemplated giving her son and daughter a complete family.
But Ulric was so stunning that no one else could ever captivate her heart again. As time passed, she had completely abandoned the thought.
Perhaps if she didn’t have two children, she might have considered giving Lion a chance, since he was so eager to please her, but with children in the picture, she couldn’t.
Whether or not Lion could be a good stepfather, Rosalind didn’t want anyone replacing Ulric as their father.
Because of the divorce, he had done nothing wrong. He was innocent.
Rosalind knew this very clearly.

This time, Rosalind had chosen a place to stay near Sereneway Road during her business trip to Jingtown.
The only place that made her feel nostalgic in this area was probably the school.
There, she had the opportunity to learn and see the world beyond her workplace, the world she should be in at her age.
There, she had met Ulric…
After putting her luggage in the hotel, Rosalind went straight to the fast food restaurant where she had worked before.
So many years had passed, it seemed they had renovated; the storefront and the sign looked new.
Rosalind walked in, and the restaurant owner immediately recognized her!
“Are you Rosalind?” the owner asked.
“Yes, it’s me.”
Rosalind smiled as she pulled out a chair to sit down, looking around the newly renovated restaurant, which was much cleaner and tidier, “When did the place get renovated?”
Since it was during school hours, there weren’t many customers, and the owner pulled up a chair to sit next to her.
“It’s been over a year since we renovated! The place was too old, and the earnings were not enough for a renovation. My husband and I thought about closing down, but then this young man contacted us, hoping we would keep it open and even offered to fund the renovation for free!”
“Really? He must be a student from this school, someone who holds this place dear.”
The owner thought for a moment, “Yes, the same young man I mentioned the last time you were here! He also suggested we stay open until ten o’clock at night. I thought he did it for you.”
Because after ten o’clock, Rosalind was the only one who often came to eat.
“It must be a coincidence.”
“That young man, oh, he’s very handsome, tall too.”
The owner suddenly slapped her thigh, “Right! Last time he came, oh, I took a photo of him, let me show you, see if you recognize him.”
With that, she got up to fetch her phone.
Up until then, Rosalind hadn’t thought much of it, nor had she realized anything.
But then she saw the photo on the owner’s phone-
Ulric.
It was Ulric.
Although the photo taken by the owner wasn’t very clear, seemingly snapped in secrecy, his face not fully facing the camera, Rosalind recognized him by just one profile.
It was really him…
“Did he, back in junior high, ask you to close the shop later?”
“Yes! Otherwise, how could we afford to stay open till ten at night? Just your occasional visits wouldn’t even cover the electricity costs!”
“…”
Rosalind felt her eyes begin to swell and soon, uncontrollably, they reddened!
He had done so much for her, yet he had never mentioned a word.
“Oh dear, why the tears!” the owner quickly handed her a tissue, “Were you moved by this handsome young man? Did you two end up together?”
