Chapter 461: You Won’t Know Her Feelings

The door closed, and everything fell silent. Marilyn collapsed to the ground, murmuring, “Yes, I am ungrateful, but no one in this world loves you more than I do.”
Callie called Nelson several times but got no answer. She then decided to call Kieran, who picked up and said Mr. Oconnor was in a meeting and would call back later.
However, Kieran was mostly just a driver and rarely knew what Nelson was doing. His quick response made Callie suspicious.
“What are you thinking about?” Litzy stretched her arms after finishing her design draft and saw Callie lost in thought.
“Nothing.” Callie snapped back to reality and noticed Regan’s office was empty. “Skipping work on the first day of opening?”
“That’s how bosses are.” Litzy lowered her voice. “I heard Regan’s husband is the only son of the Ellison family. So lucky.”
She looked envious, but Callie remembered that the Ellisons didn’t show up at Regan’s wedding, and the faint scars on Regan’s hand. Was she really happy?
Nelson left Azure Ocean Villa and reminded Kieran, “Don’t let anyone know Marilyn is staying here.”
“I understand.”
Azure Ocean Villa was not far from Paucaster Villa Complex. Nelson wanted to clear his mind and decided to walk back. His companions were worried and followed him in several cars, causing a traffic jam.
People around saw the scene but didn’t dare approach.
Nelson walked slowly under the sunlight, deep in thought. From a distance, he looked impressive.
As the executor of Oconnor Group, no one dared to neglect him. Normally, they wouldn’t let Nelson walk on the street casually. Anthony, feeling uneasy, told Kieran, “You should go check on him.”
Hearing footsteps, Nelson didn’t turn around but raised his hand slightly. Kieran stopped in his tracks.
Nelson sat down next to a newsstand and picked up a newspaper. Coincidentally, the author was Marilyn.
She wrote professionally and elegantly about the current economic situation. At the end, perhaps out of personal bias, she wrote: The business world will thrive for decades to come, thanks to Mr. Oconnor.
Nelson chuckled briefly and waved for his secretary to come over, handing him the newspaper. “Take a look.”
Anthony read it and smiled. “Miss Ellison is right.”
Nelson said slowly, “Decades? That’s too exaggerate.”
“You think too far ahead,” the secretary understood. “Everything will be fine.”
Nelson neither confirmed nor denied it. He just sat there as dusk slowly fell.
His phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, Kieran felt relieved and quickly handed the phone to Nelson.
“I learned a few new recipes with Nancy. You must come back and try them.”
The cheerful voice on the other end was light-hearted, slightly muffled as if she was eating something.
Nelson smiled. “I’ll be right back.”
When he returned to Paucaster Villa Complex, Callie had already set the table neatly and was waiting for him with her face propped up on her hands. Hearing him arrive, she immediately stood up.
“You’re really slow.”
Nelson glanced at her and then at the dishes on the table. “Why did you suddenly learn to cook?”
The food appearance wasn’t great; he frowned slightly.
Callie noticed and handed him chopsticks. “Just try it.”
