Mia’s POV
I glared at Monica as she slept soundly on the chair she was tied to. Monica has been nothing but an obstacle throughout my life.
She always took everything from me. She was the reason Ethan broke up with me. She was the reason he threw me out of the house some days ago and she is the reason he hates me so much
Oftentimes, I went to Ethan’s office to beg and apologize to him but his security didn’t even let me into the building. They would always drag me out like a criminal and would tell me Ethan wasn’t in the building which I knew was a lie.
I was feeling rejected, used, discarded, and despised and Monica was behind it all. She was behind the disrespect and shame I was facing.
There was only one thing to do and that was to get rid of her. I need to make her disappear from the surface of this earth.
If she disappears, I can take the kids as mine and get Ethan back to me. Ethan loves me but he just can’t feel and see it right now because Monica is in his life, clouding his thoughts and judgment about me.
“Get me a bucket of water. This bitch has slept enough” I ordered and the four men whom I paid heavily to kidnap Monica all glanced at each other, hesitating to get the water “Someone should at least get me a bucket of water” I yelled and one of them moved instantly
Soon enough, he handed me the bucket and I slid it mid-air, held it under tightly, and swung it forward.
The filled bucket of water poured on Monica, making her body wet and her b***s more revealing from the white T-shirt she wore.
I watched Monica closely and realized that she didn’t show any signs of waking up so I ordered another bucket.
The same man came with another full bucket of water and I poured it again on Monica, making sure the water splashed on her face first before it dropped on other parts of her body.
Monica suddenly gasped, raising her head as her eyes went wide. “Where am I? What’s this?” She asked, her voice filled with fear as she struggled to get her hands off the rope we used to tie her hands.
“Hello sister,” I said, a smirk on my face as her gaze finally landed on me
“You did this?” She asked, her voice trembling as she stared at me in disbelief.
“I figured you were becoming too comfortable with my husband and I just wanted to treat you to a nice treat,” I said and she glared at me.
“Get this off me Mia” she ordered and I laughed out loudly, my voice echoing in one of the huge rooms in the cabin, far from the road and deep in the woods
“Is that an order or a plea?” I asked with a teasing tone.
“You will pay for this Mia. I’ll make sure of it” she said and I smiled.
“And what do you want to do dearest eldest sister? Report me to the police or maybe tell Ethan that I kidnapped you?” I asked and she glared at me even more “You will not leave here alive Monica and that’s final”
I said, my tone laced with determination as I stared at my sister who was nothing but an obstacle on my path. An obstacle that has to be removed.
“Are you so afraid of me that you’re so desperate to get rid of me? Am I that much of a bother to you?” She asked, a braided smile on her face as she stared at me.
“I’m not scared of you piece of s**t neither am I bothered by you,” I said quickly, interrupting her as my hands began to tremble by my side.
“What do you want to gain from all these mia? What do you want?” She asked and I was glad she asked the question.
“A very good question” I responded then continued “You Monica, I want your kids. I want Mason and Macy to call me mother and never remember you”
“Never” Monica yelled and I instantly glared at her
“I’m not yet talking,” I said, my voice cold and distant “Secondly, I want Ethan all to myself,” I said and she gritted her teeth in anger
“You can have Ethan for all I care but I will never allow you to have my kids,” she said and suddenly, we heard screams from outside.
My body shook in fear as all the men with me became alert, pointing their guns toward the door and the window.
“I think I should even kill you now,” I said, taking out a gun from my black leather jacket and pointing it right in front of her head.
“You think you will go away with this? Do you think everything will be fine once you finally kill me? Do you think Nicholas will watch you take his kids from him? You seem to be forgetting that the kids aren’t mine alone but also Nicholas” Monica said, her voice laced with mockery as she stared at me “You will not get your hands on my never, not now, not ever”
“That’s why I’m going to kill you, Monica. Those kids will call only mine and call me mother if you’re six feet in the ground and I’m going to do just that” I said as she glared at me.
I moved closer to her and placed the gun right on her forehead and yet, her mockery and confident gaze didn’t change.
I expected her to beg or shake in fear but she did nothing close to that instead, she closed her eyes and swallowed hard, waiting for me to shoot.
“No Mia don’t” I heard a familiar voice behind me, rushing to where I stood but the four men in the room all rushed towards him and stopped him from coming any closer.
What was he doing here? How did he find us? Was he the only one here?
These questions surfaced in my head and my heart raced in fear at the possibility that the cops were around us.
