I looked forward to going to Angel’s ranch everyday and finally we were here. The environment was quiet and brought a sense of peace with it. Few families lived in this side compared to the city. I wasn’t a country side girl and had never been to one before. This was my very first time and it didn’t let down the expectations I had for it. We passed through some farms and saw some locals along the road. They stared at us like they rarely saw people from the city or was it our fancy car that they admired?
This place was quite different, almost adventurous. I looked through the window smiling as I enjoyed the sight.
Some little girls waved at me and I waved back.
Their smile was beautiful.
Everyone here seemed to have a very simple life.
“Do you like it that much?” Angel said and I tilted to catch a glimpse of him before returning my gaze back to the road.
“It feels peaceful.” I said and knew he was smiling even without seeing him.
“Indeed. Enough to forget my existence the moment we got here?” He said to my hearing. That was an easy ‘I miss you.” I smiled but didn’t say anything.
“I’m not bringing you here a second time. Who knows? You might want to live here forever.” He said attempting to draw my attention but I just kept smiling and continued enjoying the sight.
“Thea?” He called and I couldn’t hold back my laugh. I turned towards him and he laughed back.
“I’m still in the car, right next to you Angel.”
“Still, I miss you. Talk to me.” He said but I had an idea.
“Only if you’d take me on sight seeing later. Deal?”
“That’s easy, you didn’t need to ask.” He said and rolled up the window.
“Angel?”
“Just making sure you keep your promise.” My shoulder fell, he really needed to hear my voice.
I gave Angel the attention he needed and soon we started approaching a private property. It was huge compared to the houses we saw along the road. There were trees on both sides of the road. I could see guards on each corner. It didn’t matter that it was a country side, the mafia needed protection wherever they were.
I loved the green details here and there, adding the beautiful touch of nature to it. There was a fountain just at the center then the main house.
It was a simple duplex but sizable with wooden details as well. The scent of the environment, I loved.
The place didn’t look empty despite the size of the place. It looked alive and filled with people. some men on cowboy hats and boots bowed slightly to us in greeting. The vibe here was just so different.
It was somewhat nostalgic even though I had never been to a place like this.
Just at the entrance of the house was a man dressed in the same way as the men we saw earlier. The cowboy hat and boots. A check shirt tucked into a jean pant.
I guessed that must be Angel’s uncle Raymond. Then there was a woman beside him, in a long cream dress, simple yet elegant, she wore a broad and beautiful smile on her face and then there was a little boy, jack, their son. He was six according to the information I got from Angel. He had his eyes dimmed as if the sun was hurting his eyes but it was actually just the curious eyes of a little boy. He clung to his mother but the moment Angel and I stepped out of the car he erupted in excited screams.
“Angel! Daddy it’s uncle Angle!” He yelled jumping while his mother still held him. He managed to slip out of her hand and ran excitedly towards Angel.
“Jack be careful!” Lea, his mother yelled but he was already swept off his feet as Angel carried him.
I watched in silence smiling from ear to ear as I watched the relationship between Angel and Jack unfold. Angel seemed so natural, warming up to the boy.
He tickled him while the little boy giggled in his arms then he moved him to one arm and took my hand with the other.
“Hi jack.” I said waving at him. I felt nervous, I wasn’t used to kids. My kind of life didn’t give me the luxury. To my surprise, Jack blushed and hid his face away on Angel’s shoulder.
A shy boy? I didn’t expect that. It made me less nervous. I was worried he might not like me but I think he would warm up to me.
“Don’t you want to say hi jack?” Angel teased him and tickled him once more to pull his attention. I watched that beautiful giggle again. It melted my heart, he looked so adorable.
Jack peeks at me and erupts in laughter. I hear him murmur something but couldn’t make the words out.
“She’s what?” Angel asked to clarify as well. He was beaming a bright smile. I think he heard what Jack said but was asking again so I could hear it.
“I said she’s pretty.” I heard him loud and clear now and my goodness! I never thought a little boy could make my heart leap and cause me to blush this hard.
Angel turned towards me, his eyes full of admiration and a glint of pride in it.
“Even kids know it… Your the prettiest and hottest woman alive Thea.” Angel muttered making me blush harder. We walked till we were now standing in front of the couple, Angel let the boy down but he wouldn’t leave Angel’s hand. He was so happy to see Angel and didn’t miss the chance to peek at me from time to time.
We exchanged greetings with the couple and Angel introduced me to them while they introduced themselves to me officially.
The couple seemed very warm, nice and welcoming. I felt comfortable with them.
I offer Jack a gift I brought for him, Angel seemed surprised. I didn’t let him know I was getting one. I had asked Caspian to get me something Jack would like since he knew the boy too. Jack seemed to love his gift very much and it drew him closer to me.
We were ushered into the house and led to our room by Raymond.
“Do call me if you need anything. I’ll be heading to the farm now to supervise the work there but I’ll be back early to join you for dinner. Make yourselves comfortable.” He said but I knew he was more about referring to me. Angel would be comfortable since this was family.
Raymond leaves after introducing us to the the house stewards as well.
I felt like a royalty here, having everyone at my service not that I didn’t have such at the mansion but with everything that had happened it was different. Some of the maids didn’t like Camila and I because we were once whores to their bosses.
Even though they faked respect, they really had no choice than to serve us now that our position was clear in the mansion.
Lea also had other engagements but only left for a short while with Jack before returning. I loved the way she spoke and moved. She was the definition of a true lady of the house.
The respect she got, the way she carried herself, she knew who she was. This was what Angel wanted but if that had to happen, maids like Lucia needed to be out of the mansion or transferred to another line of duty. Negative snd jealous people like her were never to be trusted.
Irene as well, she was the house steward and Lucia’s aunt.
At night, Angel had prepared a bath for us but I noticed that the bath tub was smaller than what we had at the mansion.
“You’re not joining me Angel.” I said leaning on the door frame wearing only a pant.
“What do you mean?” He asked with a smile curling his lips. “I’m naked already or can’t you see?” He said eying me sexily. He walked towards me while I watched his dick dangle. He stopped in front of me and placed his hand above my head to rest on the door frame then he leaned closer to my face.
