After leaving the hall, Leo was led into the exclusive living room reserved for the alliance leader.
The interior decor of the living room could be summed up in one word: opulent.
Since he was already there, Leo decided to enjoy it and had a comfortable night.
The next day at noon, Leo called in his vampire servant.
“Griffin, have the elites from the three clans arrived?” Leo asked.
Griffin respectfully replied, “Yes, sir. As per your instructions, they have been summoned and are waiting outside for your call.”
“Let them in.”
“Yes, sir!”
After Griffin left, the elites from the three clans quickly filed in. Fortunately, the room was spacious enough to accommodate everyone without feeling crowded.
“Leader!” they all greeted in unison.
Leo scanned the room and saw that the vampire clan’s thirteen princes, Eugene and the six commanders from the orc clan, and Essex and the eight priests from the wizard clan had all arrived.
Leo withdrew his gaze and asked, “Have the vacant positions of commander and high priest in the orc and wizard clans been filled?”
Essex nodded first, “The high priest position in the wizard clan has been filled by the strongest of the black-robed priests.”
Eugene also nodded, “The commander position in the orc clan has been filled as well.”
“Who are they?” Leo’s eyes swept over the orc and wizard clans.
Two individuals stepped forward from their respective clans.
The burly orc said, “Leader, my name is Urkel.”
The frail wizard said, “Leader, my name is Cecil.”
Leo nodded and waved them back to their places.
Looking at the elites from the three clans, Leo said directly, “I’ve called you here today because we have an opportunity to deal with Church.”
Upon hearing this, the dark clan elites perked up immediately.
Especially Eugene, who became visibly excited at the prospect of dealing with Church. “Leader, tell us what this opportunity is. My blood is boiling for battle!”
Leo smiled coldly, “Our vampire spies have learned that Church and the Esper organization know about my position as leader of the Dark Alliance. They plan to launch an attack against me.”
“Hmph, if they dare come, we’ll make sure they don’t leave!” Eugene declared with fighting spirit.
Fred eagerly asked, “Leader, what’s your plan to deal with them?”
Leo’s gaze sharpened. “I’ve called you here to select eight warriors from among you.”
Eugene quickly said, “Leader, our entire orc clan is willing to fight!”
Fred retorted, “If all the orcs fight, what will us vampires do?”
“Exactly! We vampires should get at least four spots!” other vampire princes chimed in.
Zach from the wizard clan added sarcastically, “Did you forget about us wizards?”
Essex, as the former leader and now elder of the Dark Alliance, couldn’t openly support his own clan too much and just looked at Leo.
Leo raised his hand to quiet them down. “No more arguing. I’ve decided, three vampires, three wizards, and two orcs. You can decide among yourselves who will go. That’s final!”
As the leader of the Dark Alliance, Leo’s orders were absolute. The group stopped arguing and began discussing among themselves.
Soon enough, they had their selections.
From the vampires: Fred, Lance, and Cody.
From the wizards: Zach, Jacques, and Saiya.
From the orcs: Eugene and Lydum.
Satisfied with their choices, Leo turned to Essex. “Elder, please arrange a flight to the United States for this afternoon. While I’m away, you’ll handle daily affairs.”
“Yes, Leader.” Essex bowed respectfully. “I wish you all victory.”
“Alright then, everyone get ready. We’ll depart at 2 PM sharp!”
“Yes, sir!”
At 5 PM.
Location: an airport in the United States.
A private jet landed on the runway where three black Mercedes cars were waiting.
The cabin door opened, and nine figures in black robes descended the stairs.
Among them were two particularly burly figures resembling giants.
They each got into one of the Mercedes cars which then quickly left the airport.
In a large and beautifully landscaped private villa on the outskirts of town…
As the cars approached the villa gates, they automatically opened to let them in.
The cars stopped in front of a three-story mansion with a unique design and romantic European flair.
The nine figures got out of their cars one by one.
“This place isn’t bad,” said one of the burly figures as he lifted his hood. It was Eugene from the orc clan.
The vampires didn’t lift their hoods because they disliked sunlight. The wizards looked around but remained silent.
Leo led them into the grand hall of the mansion.
Inside was spacious with luxurious furniture that looked very impressive.
Now inside, both vampires and wizards removed their hoods.
Leo gestured towards the sofas. “Everyone take a seat. We’ve already leaked our arrival here. Now we just wait for our prey.”
That night, around 11 PM…
Leo’s sharp senses detected something unusual. His eyes gleamed as he said, “They’re here. Get ready for battle!”
“Yes!” The eight responded in unison before disappearing from the hall.
Three minutes later, Leo stood up and opened the hall door. Looking outside, he smiled and said, “You’re a bit late.”
Hearing Leo’s words startled those hidden in the darkness. The leader of the group stepped forward and stared at Leo. “How did you know we were coming?”
Leo chuckled. “You don’t need to know that. Since you’re here, enjoy our warm welcome.”
With that, Leo clapped his hands.
Eight distinct auras surged from all directions surrounding their intruders.
The leader’s face turned pale with shock. “Vampires, wizards, and orcs!”
In the darkness, Fred and Eugene let out terrifying laughs.
“Tonight, none of you will leave,” Leo declared proudly.
After a brief moment of fear, the leader regained his composure and sneered. “Big words! Do you really think you’ve got us cornered?”
