Chapter 101
POV: Queen Tamara Pierce
Tamara could hear voices from the people around her. However, because of her throbbing head she stayed with her eyes closed until the voices became clearer this time.
“I am sure she will go berserk later on once she gains consciousness.” She heard a cold voice but she could distinguish a bit of worry in her voice.
She might be guessing that it was Shanaia who said that.
“We have no other choice but to do this to her. The King requested this thing, and I have no other choice but to follow.” She heard another woman’s voice which she presumed was Tamika’s this time.
‘What the heck is happening?!’ She screamed in her mind, but she kept her mouth shut as she was trying to remember what happened to her prior to this.
She suddenly remembered that she was talking to Hades and before he walked away from her, she had already lost her consciousness.
“But-” Shanaia was about to say something when she abruptly stopped as Tamika let out a breathy sigh.
“We can’t do anything anymore. The King has already made an absolute decision on this matter.” Tamika simply stated.
“What the heck are you trying to say, Tamika? That he had chosen to leave his sanity over this?” Shanaia’s worried voice couldn’t be hidden anymore.
Her heart suddenly pounded inside her chest. She wanted to confirm whether what Tamika said was true. She wanted to stand up and find Hades she wanted to see him!
However, she felt weak. She felt like something heavy had been leaning on her heart that she couldn’t move.
Tamika was silent as Shanaia shot her again with her words.
“I know that there could still be a possible solution to this matter, Tamika. Can we do that instead?” Shanaia added.
Tamika let out another breathy sigh.
“No. It is too dangerous. And the King had already made a sacrifice. There’s nothing we can do but to honor his request.” Tamika seriously stated.
“And what? Let Tamara carry the burden until the end of her life. You know that she is his mate, and she also had a say in this.” Shanaia tried to tell her.
She was hoping that Tamika would spill it out. She wanted to know what other options they had to do to save Hades. Because, based on what they were talking about, he was already in danger.
Had he chosen to leave his own humanity for this war?
Was this his answer to the future that he was talking about a while ago?
And if he did, how could he say that this was a bright future at peace and with love if he wasn’t here anymore?
Tamara wanted to grit her teeth in pure annoyance and frustration.
“I know that she had a say in this. However, she is carrying their child… their heir. Once she gave her aura to the King to cage his animalistic side, she might be drained and wouldn’t surpass this anymore.” Tamika suddenly interjected causing Shanaia to shut up.
“But what if she wouldn’t give up all of her aura to the King? She could survive this, right? And the King could find his way back.” Shanaia curiously inquired.
Tamika tsked she might be pissed right now.
“Stop asking everything about this, Shanaia. This is too dangerous!” Tamika replied at Shanaia in pure irritation.
Shanaia just heaved a deep sigh.
Tamara was in deep thought as a loud knock on the door suddenly interrupted them. She could feel that the two were in their fighting stance.
“It is me, Kage.” Kage breathily said on the other side of the door.
She heard someone grunt before they opened the door.
“What?” Tamika inquired using her cold voice.
“Is Tamara awaking now? I don’t know what was happening, but Raven and Hades are now fighting each other after the King killed Cessair.” She overheard Kage express concern.
“And what do you think Tamara will do about it?” Tamika seriously inquired.
“Are you insane?! Tamara is the King’s mate. She might have the power to get hold of the last piece for Hades to come back to his senses!” Kage angrily snapped.
Shanaia let out a deep sigh.
“But she’s pregnant.” She carefully contradicted.
However, before anyone could even say another word, she slowly got up from her bed.
One thing was lurking inside her head she had finally decided.
“T-Tamara…”
She heard Shanaia call her name, but she remained expressionless. Tamika was about to stop her when she shot her a knowing glare.
Tamika let out a defeated sigh.
“I just want to let you know that whatever your decision is, I won’t negate any of it, but just to make sure you still need to give your baby a chance to live.” Tamika seriously advised her as she gave her medicine to make Hades become unconscious, even for a short while.
She gave her a questioning look.
“Whatever your decision is, you need to make sure that he is unconscious.” Tamika plainly replied to her unspoken question.
She swallowed hard.
Yes.
She knew all about those. She knew that she was taking a huge risk on this matter.
However, she still had a choice, and she would do everything to save her husband and their child.
She would try at least.
Because this battle wasn’t just for the King to handle alone he needed his Queen by his side.
And she would be holding on to it hoping that the Moon Goddess would grace them with her miracles once again.
Perhaps, her decision was so risky that others might have thought that she was risking not just herself but their baby, too.
However, there was a strong will inside her to continue her plan, and she knew how her baby reacted the moment she finally decided to do what she needed to do.
She needed both her baby and her husband by her side. She couldn’t give up on one for the other when in fact, she could save them both.
Tamara bit her lower lip as she tried to calm her nerves.
“My baby, you need to be strong for your father and mother. We need you to be strong.” She whispered under her breath as she continued to walk towards the vast field where Raven was trying to stop Hades.
Her eyes widened as she saw her husband in his most monstrous animalistic shift.
It was her first time seeing him like this – uncontrollable and possibly abandoned by his own humanity.
Nonetheless, Tamara was still holding on to his words from a while ago.
That he would find his way towards them.
And in order to do that, he needed her to serve as his guide, which she would gladly do.
She would make sure that he would find his way towards them towards her and to their child.
Because a world without him wouldn’t be complete.
Hades was their peace and the foundation of love.
And she knew that their baby wanted to be with his or her father, too.
“Hades…” She softly called his name as he finally caught his attention with her scent.

POV: Tamika Aibek
Love.
A very powerful emotion that when portrayed negatively has the potential to break a person.
However, it could also be the most indestructible tool to protect and save someone selflessly and miraculously.
Tamika wasn’t a strong believer in love since she had seen a lot of people being caged by it enslaving them blindly and forever stuck in pain.
Nevertheless, she was hoping for the King and Queen to surpass this massive challenge thrown at them. It was their opportunity to prove their love and the strength of their faith.
Her face remained expressionless as she watched Tamara move towards where Hades was.
He abruptly stopped attacking Prince Raven as her smell attacked his nose his eyes diverted towards Tamara.
Hades let out a loud growl everyone flinched.
She could see people around her holding their breaths even Tamara’s parents, who were worriedly looking at her from afar.
In just a snap, Tamara took advantage of Hades’ bewilderment when she injected the medicine into him.
Hades sneered at her as he was about to attack Tamara, but he stopped and had lost consciousness.
Tamara heaved a deep sigh as she held Hades’ hands performing the ritual that she had taught her while she was transferring some of her aura to her when she was on the verge of life and death.
She was just hoping that she would surpass this.
“What the hell is she doing? Did you tell her to do something?!” Prince Raven suddenly appeared in front of her with his accusing expression.
She just stared at him coldly.
“Stop pointing fingers now, Your Highness, no one wants this to happen. The Queen has her own decision to make.” Shanaia interfered, using her mocking tone making the prince grit his teeth in annoyance.
“Shut up, you two. This is not the time to blame each other nor is any of your banter to be heard.” Kage made a serious comment in between them.
Well, for the first time, she agreed with that arrogant salutary wolf.
She remained silent as she witnessed how Tamara glowed with the King everyone gasped in awe.
Her forehead creased as she saw Tamara purse her lips together as if she was holding her breath. She instantly walked towards her.
“Where are you going?” The egotistical salutary wolf inquired as he held her arm.
She clenched her jaw and gave him a deadly glare.
“I need to stop Tamara now; she is using all her power and her body won’t take it!” She angrily snapped as she saw how his mouth suddenly dropped wide open with her sudden burst of anger.
She took a deep breath as she was about to leave when a loud booming sound resonated around them.
They were all covering their faces with their hands shielding their own eyes.
She tried to see Tamara’s condition despite the bright light in front of them. She was certainly worried that she might have overdone it.
Her eyes widened as they all heard Tamara’s cry she immediately went towards her as she tried so hard to fight the barrier that was shielding her from anyone around her.
Tamara’s aura was certainly too strong that it wasn’t easy for her to get through.
And she had no other choice but to reveal her true self amidst everyone’s eyes.
She firmly closed her eyes as her jet-black hair turned white and some strands were filled with golden dust. Her deep purple eyes turned all white as she tried to enter Tamara’s barrier once again.
This time, she was successful, but then, Tamara was on the verge of danger. She tried to help her with her own aura. She coughed blood, but she was hoping that it was enough before she was embraced by the darkness.
Finally, she had served her purpose.
