Chapter 94
POV: King Hades Pierce
Tamara had just woken up, but she was shouting in pain. She was clutching her stomach as if it was throbbing so badly inside her that it was tormenting her inside. He felt like he was in complete torture because of Tamara’s condition.
He stared at Elder Zeparu with a questioning look.
“What is happening to her?” He voiced his frustrations out loud.
Elder Zeparu’s expressionless face was making him more agitated. He was hoping that it wasn’t as bad as it seemed to be. But looking at Elder Zeparu right now he already had a hunch as to his possible reply. He firmly closed his eyes as it turned pitch black because of frustration and hopelessness.
He clenched his jaw as he opened his eyes.
“She is s-suffering right now, Your Majesty. A-And you must prepare for the w-worst.” Elder Zeparu solemnly answered.
His blood suddenly boiled with pure denial but fear slowly consumed him.
‘No! Not Tamara and their baby!’
He was pleading in his head. But his expression remained stoic. He needed to be strong for them for Tamara and their unborn child. He didn’t want to show his weakness his pain.
“What do you mean?! What worst are you talking about?!” Hades was livid, but a hint of fear escaped into his voice.
He just couldn’t stop his worry and fear anymore no matter how much he tried to stop them from showing.
But the kind elder remained silent as he moved towards Tamara, who was crying in pain. He checked her pulse once again.
Hades slowly covered her with the sheets as Elder Zeparu gave him an anxious look after checking her pulse.
Elder Zeparu cleared his throat.
“Well, she must be s-strong, Y-Your M-Majesty.” He nervously stammered.
“For she might l-lose the c-child.” Elder Zeparu revealed as she let out a loud cry of pain once again.
‘No! Not my child!’
He swallowed hard as he looked at Tamara, who was in too much anguish.
“No!” Hades’ furious voice thundered as he held her in both hands with his shaking and cold.
“What can we do now? Is there anything that we can give her?” He seriously added.
But Elder Zeparu let out a deep sigh and slightly shook his head.
“I am s-sorry, Your M-Majesty. But for now, all we can do is to w-wait.” The kind elder replied desperation was etched into his voice.
His blood was boiling to his head as he closed his eyes. He was trying to stop himself from lashing out at the old salutary wolf in front of her. He held Tamara’s hands firmly.
He was back from his drifting thoughts, the moment a loud knock from the door interrupted them.
Tamika and Shanaia entered the room with no expression pasted on their faces.
“Your Majesty…” She courteously called him as they both bowed their heads down.
“I need to talk to you.” Tamika coldly told him, but he shook his head.
No matter how much he wanted to be in the position of the great Alpha King right now he just couldn’t… he couldn’t.
He couldn’t play his role if the love of his life was suffering like this. Tamara didn’t deserve the pain that she was experiencing right now.
And he couldn’t just shirk his responsibility if his love and their child were on the verge of a life and death situation.
“Tamara and our baby are in danger-”
He tried to explain, but Tamika just cut his words using her cold voice.
“I know. That is why we must talk… alone.” She seriously stated her voice was firm and authoritative as she took a swift glance at the kind elder, who seemed surprised at how Tamika talked to the King himself.
Hades let out a deep sigh as he took a swift glance at Elder Zeparu, who had this confused and shocked expression on his face.
“Elder Zeparu, you may go now. I needed to talk to them.” He darkly commanded.
But the elder just stood there like he had been bitten by a snake and couldn’t move. He was dumbfounded as he was looking at the two women who didn’t show any care of the elder’s attention and curiosity his brows furrowed.
“Zeparu…” His voice was low but menacing getting the elder’s attention now.
“Y-Yes, Your M-Majesty?” He bewilderedly inquired as he took another swift glance at the two women like something was bugging him inside.
“You can go out now. And call Kage. Tell him that I need to talk to him, too.” He said in his usual intimidating and cold tone.
The elder agitatedly nodded his head as if he wanted to stay, but he just had no other choice but to follow his command.
“Y-Yes, Your M-Majesty.” He politely replied as he took another swift glance at the two women before he went out of the room.
“What do you need? Tamara and our child are in danger.” He seriously stated.
“I know.” Tamika nodded her head in agreement.
“That is why I am here. I need to stay with her and treat her and your baby. For now, I need to talk to you about the worst situation that will come.” She seriously added as she shot Shanaia a knowing look.
Hades’ brows furrowed as he looked at their serious and daunting expression.
“You need to gather everyone for the war that is yet to come.” She seriously told her.
He let out a deep sigh as he clenched his hands into balled fists and gritted his teeth.
“And there’s more that I need to tell you, Your Majesty.” She coldly added as her aura became more intimidating and intense.
“What else?” He seriously stated equating her ominous and intimidating aura.
Tamika let out a deep sigh as her eyes turned into a darker shade of purple close to being black.
“I am losing my gift of seeing the future. And I might lose it for good because I need to tend to Tamara.” She said it with pure resolve and with no ounce of expression in her face.

POV: Lamina Darkwood
A loud growl resonated in the midst of that dark and solemn part of the forest adding to the eeriness of the place.
The hollowness inside her heart had already taken over her.
She stared at the two mounds of stones where her heart was also buried deep with the two people that she had loved the most, she had cared the most.
Lamina gritted her teeth as her vision blurred with tears that she was trying to stifle.
“I promise to do everything in my power to avenge you against them. I will do everything to make them pay.” She vowed earnestly in front of her children’s grave.
With those words being spoken, a lone tear escaped from her eye.
She raised her hand as she stared at what she was holding a small test tube containing blood.
An evil and ominous smile pasted on her lips, for she had finally got the last ingredient she needed for the success of her father and her son’s experiment.
Yes.
It was Kage’s blood which she got a while ago when he attended his siblings’ burial. She had told him that he needed to offer it to his siblings, and she had successfully manipulated him for the very last time before the war began.
