Chapter 91
POV: Leah Darkwood
“P-Please spare me and my b-baby, Leah. I… I beg you…” Tamara weakly pleaded, but her heart had already hardened by everything that had happened and nothing could ever make it softer again.
She had already crossed the bridge where she couldn’t go back anymore. She had decided to do what she wanted, and she had to be firm in her decision.
And that choice was to kill Tamara and nothing else matters now.
She could feel the bitterness dripping into her own inner self as she stared at the woman who had taken everything from her.
The woman who had always got everything that she wanted being protected without her knowing, being loved without any inhibition and without anything in return.
Leah instantly wiped away the tears that escaped from her own eyes as she tried to stifle her intensifying and sensitive emotions.
She smirked at her as she slightly shook her head trying to make her mind set on her real plan, her real motive.
There’s no turning back.
She knew that whatever happened now would end up being the same fate for her.
Leah bitterly smiled at her own thoughts.
“That’s music to my ears, but apparently, I can’t stand your fake angelic voice right now. So, you just failed to beg for your life and your child’s life.” She cruelly said making Tamara darted her a deadly glare.
She chuckled at her trying so hard to hide her furious emotions, but she could read her better. She could see fear and worry reflecting in her eyes. And she just loved how she could give her those kinds of emotions.
Now, she could already feel the feeling of those unwanted feelings.
The fear of losing someone dear to you.
The worry of failing to do or protect what you treasure the most.
“What do you want me to do, then? Just tell me, Leah, and I will gladly oblige. Just… just don’t do this.” Tamara sincerely begged, but her mind was already closed to whatever she was trying to say to her.
She was finally done with everything.
“I love Hades since time immemorial, you know.” She had no idea why she had suddenly opened up to her adversary.
Tamara’s eyes widened as she stared at her shock was evident in her eyes. She might be surprised because of what she just said.
“Surprise?” She sarcastically commented.
Leah clenched her jaw as she tried to stifle the pain and grief, that had been hiding inside her for a long time now.
“I’ve been dreaming of him since the moment I laid my eyes on him. I’ve worked hard to have him. I worked hard to deserve him in the future. I loved him from afar and improved myself to be worthy of being his better half, as his queen.” She soulfully continued as she looked away from her curious eyes.
Leah smiled without humor.
“But because of my name and the family I came from. Because you are the destined sacred emissary. Everything just crumbled down in front of me.” Her voice suddenly turned furious and ruthless as her eyes turned into thin slits.
She clenched her teeth and let out a sarcastic chuckle.
Yes.
Maybe she had truly lost her mind.
“You didn’t know how painful I’ve been through since the very day that I was born, and yes, I can continue bearing all those things in exchange for having that right to be with the King and to be his Queen later on.” She lowly added in her gruff voice.
“But, oh, let me scratch that, I can continue bearing all of the pain I’ve experienced from my family and from the people around me, I can continue shielding him from my parents’ wrath. In exchange for having the King, even without the title just him.” She melancholically explained.
But her eyes suddenly turned dark and ominous the moment she glared at her.
“But you ruined everything when you came back! Why did you still come back?! Why do you need to come here and take everything from me?” She bitterly yelled at her.
Tamara swallowed hard as she stared at her with pity in her eyes making her get more furious.
“Stop looking at me with pity! I don’t need those! I don’t need your pity! I need you dead! I need you to get lost!” Leah loudly yelled as she slapped her harder again this time on her other cheek.
Now, she could already feel her both cheeks, throbbing in pain.
“Do you think when I die, everything will be fixed?” Tamara seriously commented ignoring the pain in her cheeks.
Her eyes had turned blank and void of any emotions now. Leah felt a bit shaken at how Tamara looked at her, but she just couldn’t drown in those feelings.
“Do you think that when you kill me, you can finally have the King? Do you think, the pain in your heart and soul would finally heal when you kill me?” She plainly continued.
Tamara slightly shook her head as some regret crossed Leah’s eyes but it was gone in a snap.
“You are just ruining your life, Leah.” She finally added, as she remained speechless.
“S-Shut up!” She tried to stop her from saying nonsensical things and slapped her hard once again.
Tamara coughed with blood as she stared at her with her eyes still blank and stoic.
“Stop being so stubborn, Leah, and listen to your heart. Don’t get blinded by the thought of love. Because if you truly love Hades as much as you claim, you must be willing to accept that you will never be able to keep his happiness. That you must know that when you give love, it is a risk. A risk that it might or might not be reciprocated.” She seriously said even though blood was dripping from her mouth.
Leah pursed her lips together.
“Stop telling me things, Tamara. You won’t change my mind. You can’t change anything now. I have already decided to take you down… forever.” She stubbornly declared as she walked towards her and let out a sardonic smile.
“But first, let me slowly do it until I am satisfied.” Leah lowly whispered as she went towards the table from the corner of the barn.
She got a Swiss knife from the table making her panic from where she was sitting. The silver chain was already created wounds in her both wrists. She clenched her teeth as she tried not to shout her pain.
Leah slowly went towards her and held her hair and pulled her head harshly to faced her as she placed the sharp knife in her neck.
“Whatever you say, I know that I will still lose in the end. But there’s one thing that you can’t stop me from doing, Tamara.” She lowly whispered as she moved closer to her.
Leah stared seriously in her eyes.
“That since I already lose, then…” She smiled playfully causing her heart raced in panic.
“I will just drag you down with me.” She mercilessly declared as she cut her upper arms and she shouted in pain.
“S-Stop! P-Please, stop it!” Tamara painfully yelled as she begged for her to stop.
She didn’t know how long she loved hearing Tamara’s pleading voice, but she knew that she needed to kill her now.
“Sorry but not sorry. I have to kill you now, Tamara. I might be a loser in getting the King’s heart and being the Queen, but let’s be in hell together. So, goodbye, Tamara.” Leah finally told her as she breathed heavily.
She looked at Tamara who had wounds in her arms and legs. Her face was pale because she might have been losing a lot of blood already.
It was complete torture, like what she planned to do.
“Goodbye, Tamara.” She lowly whispered.
She was about to stab Tamara’s heart when someone shouted from behind. Her eyes widened as she recognized who it was.
“Stop it, Leah!”
