Chapter 58
POV: Tamara Pierce
“Open your eyes, Tamara. You must open your eyes. Find your light and be that light.”
A soft voice resonated in her ears it was calm, like a feather dancing with the wind and lulling it but her eyelids were weighing too heavy. It was like a sack had been over it she couldn’t lift it up. Her eyes remained closed as she tried her best to open them, but she was failing miserably.
She wanted to know who it was or even ask her whoever she was, but her mouth was just too dry for her to say a word.
What is happening? Tamara asked herself, but her lips remained motionless.
She felt weak and unmoving.
Tamara could feel the pure confusion and anxiety inside her.
She could still hear the beating of her heart. She could still feel the warmth inside her.
But it didn’t guarantee that she was fine she might be but slowly deteriorating.
Tamara felt the fear that was growing in her heart causing it to beat louder and faster this time.
And as peculiar as it might seem the heat that was covering her body a while ago suddenly replaced with coldness until it had already engulfed her entire system.
Her mind spun like she was riding a fast Ferris wheel in an amusement park. It was making her dizzy that she wanted to puke.
She uncontrollably shivered as she tried to calm herself, but she just couldn’t.
Until everything just consumed her.
And the tiny pint of hope and light inside were running out, and darkness had overtaken her.

POV: Prince Raven Pierce
A loud crashing of vases resonated in the Throne Room. Arlan grimaced as he heard it through the huge wooden door, before he took a pleading glance at him.
He let out a deep sigh.
It’s been two days since Tamara was admitted to the hospital. It’s been two days since their pack was infiltrated with unknown traitors.
He knew someone was a traitor. Someone had been feeding the details to the enemy. But he couldn’t pinpoint who it was. He needed to discover who it was.
But up until now, he still couldn’t go to the pack because Dreyson had told him that Shahara’s parents were still mad at him.
He couldn’t blame them, though.
Even he just couldn’t find it in his heart to forgive himself.
He mentally shook his head as he remembered Shahara.
“Prince Raven…” Arlan’s worried voice pulled her back to reality.
His eyes turned to him. He looked so anxious and problematic.
Now, it had been two days that his brother was still at the Throne Room getting frustrated with still not getting any lead from what had happened.
It was making him more suspicious.
His brother was a capable King and a great leader. Not to mention his authority, connection, and power. So, it was a huge puzzle to him as to the reason why he still couldn’t find the culprit.
And even him.
The enemies might really have been preparing for this to happen.
Even now, he couldn’t still find any clue from Shahara’s ‘death’ which he was still in denial of.
“How was his condition?” He seriously inquired.
Arlan let out an exhausted sigh.
“I am afraid, he was becoming more and more frustrated, Prince Raven.” He politely replied.
He knew how bothered he was now. He was like he hadn’t been sleeping for days. And he was calling his title which was a bit off for him.
Typical Arlan.
A loyal Kingsman.
And now, he just couldn’t believe that doubts slightly arouse inside him for the King’s second in command, as well as his friend.
He mentally shook his head as instantly drove away that idea.
Arlan mustn’t be the traitor.
He was just too loyal and too concerned with the King.
It was surely an impossible thing.
“I am afraid that if this continues, he might turn into that form again…” He lowly whispered making him pull back to reality from his deep thoughts and doubts.
“I’ll try to talk to him.” He seriously said.
He had no other choice anyway. Besides, he was right. If he would let him get mad and frustrated to the fullest it would just worsen the situation.
“A-Are you sure?” Arlan suddenly turned hesitant.
He just simply nodded his head.
“I-If that’s the case, then, I will try to visit the Queen. I hope she will be fine soon. The King needs her.” He perplexedly told him.
Prince Raven just let him do what he wanted to do. He knew that he still needed to prepare himself, for he knew that this wouldn’t be as easy as it might be.
He could feel the King’s raging fury even behind those closed wooden doors.
And it wasn’t just a simple darkened aura. It was more intensifying than that the very reason why his heart suddenly beat faster than its usual pace.
He swallowed hard as he thought that it was impossible for him to turn into…
Before he could even accept that fact in his mind, he unconsciously opened the door.
The room was ransacked. There were broken glasses and vases everywhere.
Only the small streak of light from the slightly opened window curtain had been giving light to the dark room.
He could hear heavy breathing a few meters away from him. And then, followed by a slight groan and a painful cry.
Raven could hear the fast beating of his heart as he felt bullets of sweat in his forehead. The darkened and threatening aura intensified as he felt his inner wolf become restless.
And right there and then, he knew that something was up to his brother.
But before he could even move his feet, he had already been attacked with elongated claws, and a loud growl filled the entire room.

POV: Arlan
He knew that something was wrong with the King and having Prince Raven to face him it made him slightly at ease.
But something was still bothering him, and he knew that it was impossible.
However, his instincts were telling him that something was truly wrong.
The moment he stepped foot into the Lunar Pack infirmary, he instantly ran towards Tamara’s room if his hunch was right, the King might be in his internal battle now.
And he needed Tamara at his side!
As soon as possible!

POV: King Hades Pierce
He had felt that particular tension inside him when he was still young on the South Side. He gasped as he felt his heart skip and beat at its double pace.
It was as if he was being transported back to where his parents had left him to leave with all the danger and worst kind of beings around.
How could they leave him in that place?
How could power and title as the next in throne be this difficult?
Would he just let Raven, have it?
Then, would he let him take that girl away?
No.
He would survive.
He would overcome the hardships that were given to him.
But by doing so, he must be one with his inner wolf. And as a Royal Blood their animalistic side wasn’t just a simple wolf.
They were called lycanthropes their third animalistic side.
They were the higher form of the wolf borne.
One thing that separates them from normal wolves.
But as he was trying to learn how to control it, it was trying its way to control him instead. And that struggle started when no one was around to be able to guide him.
Unlike his brother, who had left at the Western Side Elder Zeparu had helped him overcome his animalistic side.
He, on the other hand, had the worst experience in dealing with his inner lycan.
Now, he had been experiencing it once again.
Because Tamara wasn’t beside him. Because his inner turmoil was greater than he could imagine. Because the intense fury lingering in his every vein had already met his limits.
And without Tamara, no one could ever tame the raging beast trying to take over him.
He could feel the same scorching feeling that it was burning everything inside him. His eyes were moistened with tears not out of pain or sorrow, but because of the hot temperature that was building inside him. It was turning into a bloodshot red as the veins around it were turning purple.
King Hades crouched like a ball hugging his both knees. He let his golden crown roll onto the marbled floor, because the fiery sensation was starting to sear his skin slowly becoming unbearable to him.
He growled inwardly as he tried to move his body, but his hand accidentally pushed the huge vase near him causing it to be broken.
That’s the only way that he’s seen that the entire throne room was already ransacked.
Was it because of him?
Did he do all of this?
He tried to calm himself, but his inner turmoil was fueling his lycan side to take over him.
He wouldn’t want to be eaten by his lycan side… not now not ever.
He wouldn’t let his inhumane side become eternal until he couldn’t control it anymore. One thing that he wouldn’t want it to happen because it almost happened before.
But was he too late?
He clenched his chest with his elongated claws ripping his shirt and wounding his skin.
King Hades let out a stifled cry before bending himself on the cold floor.
His breathing became uneven and too heavy to bear that he let out a low growl before everything just went black.
