Chapter 56
POV: Lamina Darkwood
She furiously pushed away every single thing that was on her table. She was breathing heavily, and her face turned bright red because of both humiliation and deep rage.
“How dare she say those words to me! That Rania is really testing my patience!” She wrathfully spat those words in between her gritted teeth.
Her canines were slowly becoming bare, and her wolf was wanting to take over her.
Rania had embarrassed her from everyone, and she needed to shut her mouth and pretended to be deeply concerned even though she just wanted to burst with her words to her. If it wasn’t for the people around her, she tightened her jaw as she clenched her fists.
But what’s more about it was that everything that Rania had told her a while ago was just too much, that she wanted to talk back at her especially the cursed words that it made her entire system shaken… a bit.
“Damn that annoying bitch!” She frustratedly cursed out loud.
“You must condemn her, Mother.” Aeron suggestively stated, and she surely would.
How dare she say those words to her!
She was the Luna of the Dark Wood Pack!
But Elder Courdamus just shook his head in disapproval.
“No, Aeron, I don’t think that was a great idea.” He seriously contradicted.
“And why not?” She irritatedly inquired as she tried to compose herself or else, she would be turning into her wolf form in just a snap.
She unbelievably stared at the old man with his tobacco with her eyes narrowed into thin slits.
Elder Courdamus let out a deep sigh as he was weighing down the situation.
“Please, don’t take it the bad way. But I suggest that you shouldn’t do that, for it will just surely worsen the situation. You know that the Lunar Pack has been into a lot lately. And if you condemned them because of those words, the other packs could sympathize with them, and there’s a huge possibility that we will lose them. Showing one’s weakness can easily be manipulated, and I know that you already know what I mean, Lamina.” Elder Courdamus added as he looked directly at each and every single one of them in the room.
“Not to mention that Tamara is the Queen now.” He emphasized his words making her firmly close her eyes before opening them again and staring at everyone around her.
They were all silent as they tried to think of it thoroughly.
“And then, what? I believe you had something more to say. I needed something to clear this annoyance, if I may add.” She angrily snapped at him.
She knew that she was too angry, for she felt humiliated in everyone’s eyes, and knowing that Elder Courdamus was right, that she couldn’t contest with Rania in that situation was making her more furious.
“Well, you must call for a meeting. You must make sure that the other packs’ loyalty was still at you. You must make sure that you still get hold of the allies.” He seriously reminded her.
She pursed her lips together because she knew that he was right. She had been planning to summon their allies, but because of her other plans in eliminating Tamara for good, she had been postponing it.
“I agree with what the elder said, Lamina.” Cessair coldly commented.
She let out a deep sigh and clenched her jaw in irritation. But before she could even say a word, a loud knock on the door stopped her from doing so.
“I… I am so sorry, Luna Lamina. But I have urgent news from the castle.” Merelos nervously stated as he entered the room.
Her brow raised as she let him continue with his words.
“The King wanted every pack to meet him in the Great Hall… now.” His voice was low and anxious.
Lamina rolled her eyes.
“Fine. I will call for a meeting for the allies soon.” She finally announced.
“After the meeting with the King.” A cruel smile crept into her lips.
“I am wondering what he could do now, huh?” She wickedly continued.
“Don’t let your guards down, Lamina. Hades isn’t a king for nothing.” Cessair, who had heard her statement, reminded her making her smile fade from her lips.

POV: King Hades Pierce
She was still in critical condition as he paid her a short visit. He wanted to stay in her room, but he knew he needed to face those who had made her suffer like that one by one.
He wanted to blame himself, but he knew that it wouldn’t do a thing right now. The damage had been long done, and he must have shown the wrath that he had been keeping himself, huh?
A ruthless smile escaped into the corner of his lips as he watched Dillion and Shimuel breathe heavily as they were kneeling on the floor with their heads bowed down. They were almost unrecognizable and that they were just trying to kneel or else they would certainly be their end, right there and then. Their sweat was mixed with their own blood from the wounds and bruises all over their bodies. Their clothes were ripped because of what the King had done to them.
But he wasn’t still satisfied. Their lives weren’t enough and condemning them because of not being able to stop Tamara from going to the Lunar Pack was just a minor sin compared to the one that aimed the arrow at her.
Besides, he knew Tamara. She would be the one condemning once she discovered what he had done.
He rolled his tongue into his lips as he was forced to stop his wolf from taking over him. He wasn’t satisfied yet with the result of their punishment and all of his beatings to the both of them for letting Tamara go to the Lunar Pack.
The Great Hall’s marbled floor was now slightly messing up because of their blood, and it was filling the air making her groan inwardly.
“Your M-Majesty, you must w-wash your hands now.” Arlan nervously reminded him.
He just loudly snarled at him.
“Stop talking to me right now, Arlan, or else you will be the next one.” He coldly threatened him as his aura darkened by every second that passed.
“B-But Your Majesty, the packs were already h-here.” Arlan anxiously informed him.
He let out an evil smirk causing Arlan to bow his head, and his fear grew more. He loved the scent of fear not just from Arlan, but from the wolves around.
“Then, let them enter.” He icily replied as he tried to mask his excitement with the plans that he was slowly contemplating in his head.
“Y-Yes, My King.” Arlan hesitantly said, but he still obeyed him.
Well, no one wanted to get in his way for now. He was wickedly annoyed and mad. No one would ever dare to cross him, or they would meet their tragic demise.
King Hades leaned against his golden throne as he placed his both fists on the armrest with blood flowing into it, not his blood, but his two third in commands’ blood.
He heard the huge wooden door open, and he instantly plastered his stoic face. He could hear gasps and murmurs as they walked down the hall. But no one dared to question him nor to comment on anything.
Not now that everyone could feel the tension as well as the aura that was surrounding him a darkened and livid one.
He secretly gritted his teeth as his eyes moved towards where that certain pack was the Darkwoods.
King Hades sarcastically smirked at them.
He was sure that they hadn’t done anything yet in their plans, but he couldn’t believe that they could still resort to hurting Tamara.
Well, that’s one thing that he wouldn’t let happen. Not now that she was already his Luna Queen. He had already the sole authority, the power, and the right to implement safety and protection for Tamara. He wouldn’t just sit down and secretly protect her in the midst of the darkness like he used to do for the past few years. And the pain of always losing her was just a hard burden to carry.
Now, he could finally protect her as the King of All Wolf Borne. He wouldn’t just let this pass.
“I will make this meeting very short and simple.” He coldly stated ignoring the proper greetings in a meeting.
“I know that you still have a lot of things to… do.” He sardonically continued rising up the tension building around the hall.
“Besides, I also have some business to take care of.” He said as he ruthlessly stared at his two third in commands.
And Tamara’s face instantly claimed his mind, but he instantly shook it all off.
“Whoever did this to the Lunar Pack, a traitor to be exact, would pay for their lives. But whoever did that to the Queen would pay, not just their lives in the most painful way, but everyone in their bloodline… for good.” He seriously announced as he the corners of his lips rose in the most wicked and ominous way.
Fear instantly risen up in the air making his inner wolf groaned in exhilaration inside him.
“I forbid crowd meetings as for whatever reason it might be. I forbid going from one pack to the other even for simple gatherings whatsoever. And I will make sure to eradicate any suspicious acts starting today. Once caught, you will surely meet your most tragic demise. No buts and no reasons to be entertained. I would take this seriously now. And whoever did this to the Queen will surely get an answer from me… as soon as possible. The culprit will pay, and I will collect the payment myself.” He seriously warned them as he managed to glance at everyone around him using his most taunting and intimidating expression.
He could now smell the intensifying fear and anxiety from everyone around. He mentally let out a sarcastic chuckle.
The poison that should be placed on these people should start from their minds. A very powerful poison that could surely hit one’s own mindset into meeting its grave. One poison fear. Once fear has started lingering in one’s mind it will spread like a wildfire. And it could also be contagious. One thing that would surely be impactful to everyone near it. A poison that would take one to eradicate one.
He smirked in pleasure.
“You may go now, and make sure that I won’t catch anyone of you.” He sarcastically ended the meeting and Arlan guided everyone out of the hall.
“My K-King…” Arlan hesitantly called him afterwards.
“Now, I am full of them trying to move behind my back. They think I don’t know what they were doing, but I’ve had enough. Now, let’s play the game that they started.” He smiled wickedly making Arlan swallow hard.
“But first, I need to visit someone. I think he owes me something.” His voice turned so serious and cold as he said those words in a very slow manner.
Arlan stared at him nervously for he exactly knew that particular tone of his.
Someone might have faced his tragic demise today.
King Hades just smirked at his second and command as he stared at the two men in front of him.
“As for these two, they would be in the dungeon for the mean time that Tamara was still in danger. I wouldn’t allow them, near me or her or to anyone. No visitor allowed except you and me.” He icily ordered him.
“Y-Yes, Your Majesty.” Arlan instantly replied at him.
His stoic face remained as he took a step towards the huge wooden door. He would surely love to give someone a solid punch. Hopefully, he would control his anger this time well, hopefully.
He shrugged at that certain thought in his mind as he clenched his both hands into balled fists.
