Chapter 47
POV: Tamara Davis
“What happened? And where is the King?” Her voice was laced with pure worry and suppressed anger.
She knew that she wanted to follow them. She knew that she could be a stubborn Luna Queen for all she cared!
But Doc Dreyson had told her that her parents were now out of danger, and that they were awake a while ago. However, because they had fallen asleep once again before she could even talk to them.
Now, Arlan went to the pack’s infirmary to talk to her, but the King was not with him making her inner wolf groaned in frustration.
Well, more of her, being annoyed for not fulfilling his own words. She was expecting him to go back to her and tell her what had happened, yet his second in command was in front of her instead.
“I am so sorry, Your Grace, but the King needed to go to the palace because the Were Elders’ Council asked for a meeting.” Arlan seriously stated as he slightly bowed his head.
Tamara mentally groaned in frustration, but her left brow twitched upwards as she processed his words. It was truly frustrating for her, and it was the first time that she felt that way. She had been an understanding woman all her life and losing her patience because of the King’s responsibility that needed to be fulfilled was shocking the hell out of her.
But she couldn’t stop her raging nerves in return.
Maybe because she was still on the verge of the chaotic situation in their pack, and she knew that most of the members of the Were Elders’ Council were trying something under their sleeves again.
“And what do they want this time?” She asked with her voice full of mixed curiosity and irritation.
Arlan let out a low sigh.
“I didn’t know yet, My Grace.” He politely replied.
Tamara tried to calm her raging nerves. If she wasn’t really eager to talk to her parents right now, she would have been rushed towards the palace and given the king a piece of her mind.
Well, might as well show those Were Elders’ Council members a piece of her mind, too.
But right now, she must contain herself and focus on their pack.
She let out a deep inhale and exhale before she wore a stoic look and faced the shocked Arlan.
As to whatever he was surprised about she didn’t really care, though.
“Just tell the king to visit me, and he must be aware to fulfill his words. I may not be a patient woman next time.” She seriously stated making Arlan gulped in anxiousness.
“Y-Yes, Your Grace…” He anxiously replied as his voice croaked a bit.
“Good. Now, tell him I can go there yet because I am just waiting for my parent to wake up.” She let out a deep sigh before she added those words.
“I will go now, then, Your Grace.” Arlan hesitantly bids his goodbye.
Tamara nodded her head before turning her back to the loyal Kingsman. But the annoyance that she felt was still haunting the depths of her or was it about the unfinished thing between them, that was making her furious and irritated?
She unconsciously held her lips as she walked down the hallway.
“The next time, I wouldn’t let him escape anymore.” She wickedly smiled at her own thoughts.
Oh gosh! What did the King just do to her?!
Her cheeks had turned pale pink as she thought of the King’s passionate kisses.

POV: Arlan
Until now, he still couldn’t believe that Tamara well, she must be called Lady Tamara now could have turned out to be like that.
Being shocked was an understatement.
He was totally shaken in fear a while ago.
She could surely possess the King’s aura if she wanted to, especially if she was annoyed or furious.
Arlan let out a deep sigh to calm his shaken nerves before he stepped foot inside the meeting room.
“We must wait until the Full Moon, Your Majesty.” Elder Courdamus suggestively stated.
The King’s serious pitch-black eyes gazed upon him, and he couldn’t stop himself from swallowing hard.
Whatever that was they were trying to insist on with the King he surely knew that it was making hell rise once again. And he must stop it all at once well, that was if he could.
He slightly bowed down before he went near him to whisper to him about what Lady Tamara had told him a while ago.
Everyone got silent as they paid courtesy of the news that his second in command had.
“My King, Lady Tamara is furious of you not fulfilling your words. She said that you must pay her a visit and that y-you must be aware in fulfilling y-your words because s-she said that next time she wouldn’t be p-patient anymore…” He stuttered as he told him about those words using his low voice.
Now that he thought of it, he could have been slayed down because of the words Lady Tamara had told him to say.
Arlan felt his legs wobble a bit, but then, he saw the King smirk as he heard his words and it totally surprised him instead.
“The Alpha and Luna of the Lunar Pack were already out of danger and that she might have been here if she wasn’t waiting for them to wake up.” He seriously added, and he had already moved away from him respectfully.
“Is that all?” His voice was deep and menacing.
“Y-Yes, My King.” He hesitatingly replied.
King Hades, then, raised his hand and he stepped back before he stayed, standing up, almost a meter away from the King’s throne.
“Would you suggest that, too, if the one who won this competition came from your clan, Courdamus?” King Hades spits those words like venom.
Elder Courdamus swallowed hard as he stared at the King’s merciless and cruel expression. He knew that he might have been pushing his luck at that very moment already.
“I… I-It’s just a mere suggestion, Your Majesty.” He stammered because of nervousness and everyone in the room was already smelling the intensifying darkened aura from the King.
“Then, be aware that I wouldn’t want to take your suggestion… for now. Especially that someone was trying to spy on my Luna a while ago.” King Hades ruthlessly stated.
Murmurs suddenly rose up into thin air as if they were trying to conceal their possible motives about what happened a while ago. Well, in fact, anyone from them could have had a motive.
Everyone except Elder Zeparu, who had treated Tamara together with the other brilliant salutary wolf for the Lunar Pack.
Whoever that one who was trying to spy on the Luna Queen was witty enough to conceal his smell regardless of how heightened the King’s senses were.
And he might have been a clue as to whoever it came from.
“That is disturbing news, My King. How was Lady Tamara, then?” Elder Nord fakely inquired making the King let out a threatening growl.
“She would just be fine. And whoever that was, he or she would surely face his or her tragic demise.” The King smirked as he proudly stood up from his golden throne.
“Now, hear this, for I wouldn’t repeat it again. Tamara and I will fulfill the result of the competition soon. And when I say soon that would be the soonest possible date. You must be prepared.” He seriously declared with his voice laced with mockery and pure threat.
He gave all of them a warning look before he turned around and walked away from the room leaving the Were Elders with their devastated and annoyed expressions.
Arlan couldn’t stop himself from smirking as he followed the king out of the room.
Now, no one could ever touch Tamara.
Well, they could try, but they wouldn’t succeed.
The King almost lost her, and he knew that he wouldn’t let it happen twice.
Well, he was hoping not for he wouldn’t want to see the king lose his humanity. Not anymore. It was certainly not a sight to see.
“Ask Elder Zeparu when is the soonest possible date for their Alpha and Luna to attend our wedding. And tell him that the sooner, the better.” King Hades seriously stated.
He didn’t even bother to stop in his tracks nor to face him.
“Do you understand, Arlan?” He threateningly added when he didn’t hear his reply instantly.
“Y-Yes, Your Majesty.” He promptly replied never wanting to ignite the fire of his intensifying darkened aura.
“And where the heck is Raven?” He suddenly inquired.
Arlan swallowed hard.
“H-He was still in search of Lady Shahara, Your Majesty. He was with Dillion.” He instantly reminded him.
The King slightly stopped his tracks before he let out a low sigh.
“Should I have summoned him here, Your Majesty?” He cautiously asked, but the King just shook his head.
“Just let him be… for now. I just need to take a rest first.” He seriously stated before he continued walking down the hallway and into his own room.
He just let out a deep sigh as his eyes watched the King’s door close in a loud bang.
Arlan knew that the King might be a heartless one but he wasn’t. He might be ruthless and cruel, but only with a certain reason behind it.
He slightly shook his head as he made his way towards the Lunar Pack once again.
Maybe he should ready himself to face Lady Tamara once again. Arlan let out a deep sigh.

POV: Prince Raven Pierce
He let out a loud growl as he punched the huge rock in front of him. He didn’t care about the pain or the blood that slowly flooded down from his injured fist.
Prince Raven faced Dillion, who was bowing his head down in front of him.
“What the heck are you talking about?” His words were pressing, for he was trying to calm his raging nerves although he knew that he was already failing miserably.
Dillion swallowed hard, but his head remained low. He didn’t want to see the prince’ raging wrath and bloodlust. It had already happened before, and he didn’t want it to happen now.
Not if he could help it.
Not now that Shahara needed him.
Prince Raven gritted his teeth as he felt his wolf at bay trying to escape out of his humanity.
“I… I found those clothes near the riverbank, My Prince. It was Lady Shahara’s, and it was already ripped by the crashing river water as well as the sharp rocks.” He hesitantly said, before pointing to the small black sack just a meter away from where they were.
“I bet Lady Shahara was a-already d-dead, My Prince.” He nervously stated.
His wolf suddenly turned into a raging animal that he instantly growled loudly and held onto his shirt’s collar. He was unconsciously trembling as he was trying to stifle his wrath at what Dillion was telling him. His claws were slowly elongated, and he didn’t care any less if one of the Kingsman would be torn upon by it.
He was mad!
Shahara wouldn’t be dead!
No!
It couldn’t be!
Not Shahara!
Prince Raven harshly bit his lower lip and streaks of blood appeared on the corners of his lips he just cold-bloodedly ignored any of it.
“Don’t tell me that nonsense! Now, leave me the hell alone!” He furiously yelled and pushed him to the bed of huge rocks around them.
Dillion shrieked in pain as his back hit the huge rock causing it to crack before he fell down on the smaller rocks.
His breathing became uneven as he tried to stop his raging inner wolf from taking over him.
Prince Raven could feel Dillion leaving him on the riverbank even though he was still badly hurt. It was better than being killed by him. He wouldn’t promise that he wouldn’t once he had already lost his mind.
He had given him a mission in helping him find Shahara, but it’s been days, and they haven’t seen her.
His eyes moved towards the small black sack where Dillion had told him that it contained Shahara’s clothes.
With his shaking hands, he untangled the knot in the sack, and the moment he opened it, Shahara’s scent filled his nose.
He clenched his both hands into balled fists.
Prince Raven felt like his strength had slowly been leaving his body for good.
His breathing became heavy, and it was suffocating him already.
He stared at Shahara’s ripped clothes and he was certain that it was no other than hers. He gritted his teeth as he felt his canines bared. He felt his eyes moistened under the dim moonlight.
Now, he was totally lost.
Now, he didn’t know what to do anymore.
Now, he had been trying to think on the possible things or reasons, but he ended up with nothing.
How could he let this happen to Shahara?
How could he let this happen to the only woman he ever loved?
How could he have tried to protect her from all these years only to be like this in the end?
His face glistened with tears as he felt it flow freely down to his cheeks.
For the very first time in his life he felt like his entire system was just completely shut off.
His inner wolf was slowly taking over him. His raven-black hair covered his entire body as his ankles broke and his back hunched a loud cry from the prince as well as the King’s virtuoso brother was all that everyone could hear amidst the dark night.
Every animal around shuddered in fear as they took their own covers. Even the birds leaving their nests if they needed to for them not to be part of the prince’ raging wrath.
His deep-set black eyes were laced with red blood as he snarled his intensifying fury.
Whoever did that to Shahara would certainly pay for their lives. Prince Raven mentally thought.
But for now, he must let out his fuming steam of fury.
He, then, recklessly ran towards the Southern Side.
On the other hand, due to the heightened emotions he had felt he didn’t even feel that a pair of eyes that were watching him closely. Trying to spy on his actions and ready to communicate it to his own master.
