CHAPTER 93 : HOME

Book:The Omega's Cursed Alpha Twin Mates Published:2024-11-12

*Flashback : Earlier at the Pack*
Morane sat alone in her home, satisfied that she had been able to help find out where Kira was. As she stood up to arrange her things back to their proper places, suddenly, the hair moved.
At first, she thought she had seen wrong , then it moved an inch, then another, and soon it was moving a bit faster.
“What’s happening?” She asked herself, staring at the map. “It’s moving, that means…”
Immediately, she grabbed her bag, stuffed the map inside carefully, making sure the hair remained attached to the map as she left her house. She thought to reach out to Bryan and Aiden, but they had already gone and calling them was of no use. She would have to go there herself.
She could have stayed and directed them through a phone, but something just made her want to go herself, and so she walked to a small car she owned, got in and drove off.
Following the map’s direction, which she had seen earlier, she got to her location and parked her car close to where Bryan and Aiden had left theirs. She recognized the vehicles and was certain it was theirs.
Taking a deep breath, Morane got down and scanned the area for any sign of them. She even went into the building, but no sign.
Now she was back inside her car, unfolding the map, with Kira’s hair still intact on the spot. Then, the hair moved again.
Quickly, Morane got out of the car, the map in her hands spread open, as she followed its direction. The hair finally stopped moving at some point, and it wasn’t long before she spotted familiar figures.
Ryker was the first to notice her and after seeing and understanding the situation, she lifted her hand, signaling that she would step in when the time was right.
Ryker then informed Bryan and Aiden through the Pack’s mind link about Morane.
The pack mind’s link can be used in a specific manner- reaching out to a pack member or some, or a broadcasting manner where everyone gets the message, but in this situation, Ryker shared this with just Bryan and Aiden.
*Flashback Ends*
“So Luna, that is how I am here. I’m glad I listened to my instincts,” Morane said, a soft smile crossing her lips as she was done explaining how she showed up.
“We all are,” Bryan said gratefully.
“Yes, definitely,” Aiden and Kira said, agreeing with what Bryan had said as Kira thanked Morane once again, feeling glad that she had indeed listened to her instincts.
“Of course Luna, my pleasure,” Morane responded, still smiling at Kira as Kira also smiled back.
Aiden exhaled slowly, his eyes scanning the group as he spoke with finality. “Alright, let’s go home.”
But before he spoke, his gaze lingered on Kira for a moment longer, softening as he was still making sure she was okay. He could tell she was a little shaken, but she was strong. Maybe she had no idea how strong and stubborn she could be.
Smiling inwardly, Aiden knew all too well that his mate was not someone to be underestimated.
“Let’s go,” Kira nodded, feeling exhausted, and also let out a breath of relief.
Without nothing more to say, they all started walking back towards where their cars were parked. The trio walked in front, exchanging small talks, while Morane walked a few steps behind them, smiling at the scene in front of her.
Back at where their cars were parked, Ryker was already seated in the back of the car when they arrived. He had also informed the other warriors that Luna Kira had been found, and now everyone was ready to leave.
“All good?” Ryker asked as the door to the driver’s side opened, Bryan standing there.
“Yeah,” Bryan answered and got in, while Aiden slid into the back seat with Ryker and Dave, who was in the middle.
Aiden’s eyes immediately flicked to Dave’s hand, his gaze hardening as he warned him. “If you try anything stupid…” Aiden warned, but his voice trailed off at the end, although he was sure Dave got the message, seeing as how Dave swallowed hard and said nothing, except nodding with trembling lips.
Dave knew Aiden was not one to make empty threats, and he had indeed brought this upon himself. His fractured hands were still carefully cradled against his chest, as he winced in pain. He was grateful he could still move his arms at least, but the fractures were too severe for him to move without excruciating discomfort.
“Can I-” Dave started to say, wanting to ask for something but stopped as he saw Ryker’s posture- his face strong and unwelcoming. Aiden, on the other hand, was not an option. So, he just ended up dropping his gaze.
The last person to get into the car was Kira, who now slipped into the passenger seat, her body aching from earlier. Nothing some rest won’t fix, she had thought.
As she got in, she looked at Bryan, her hand reaching for the handle of the door. “I’m okay, let’s go,” she reassured him as he started the engine after making sure she was truly okay.
The car moved slowly at first, and Kira glanced back at Aiden, Ryker and Dave in the rearview mirror. Dave’s face reminded her of what he had done, although seeing the pained look on his face was enough to satisfy her, plus remembering his screams from earlier… Nice!
Behind them, Morane followed in her car as the other warriors in the other car did the same and soon, they were on the road, heading back to the pack.
The drive felt longer than it was, and soon they had reached the Pack’s border.
Bryan drove in and parked at a suitable spot, turning off the engine and looking over at Kira with a smile on his face. “We are home,” he said, and reached out to her, ruffling her hair.
Kira smiled back warmly and repeated, although it was more to herself now as she murmured, “Home.”
