Leo nodded and said, “Alright, you guys can leave now.”
The vampires, feeling like they had been granted amnesty, quickly backed away, putting a safe distance between themselves and the Ark.
Leo extended his hands again but stopped halfway because he realized that the Ark had no handles. The entire surface was smooth with no place to grip.
He paused for a moment and examined the Ark more closely.
On the front of the Ark, there were two hexagram patterns, one large and one small.
Other than the hexagrams, there was nothing else.
Leo was a bit puzzled. Did he have to use force to open this precious Ark? That didn’t seem right. There must be some kind of mechanism!
His eyes fell once again on the two hexagrams on the surface of the Ark.
With a thought, Leo took out the two hexagrams he had obtained earlier.
Holding a hexagram in each hand, he pressed them against the corresponding patterns on the Ark.
When the hexagrams were about two or three centimeters away from the surface, they were pulled in like magnets and attached themselves to the Ark.
As soon as the hexagrams aligned with the patterns, something strange happened.
The hexagrams embedded themselves into the patterns and began to spin rapidly. The Ark emitted sounds of mechanisms moving inside.
Leo stepped back a couple of paces to watch what would happen next.
Three seconds later, there was a soft click, and the lid of the Ark opened automatically.
Two waves of holy light burst out from the Ark, filling the entire chamber in an instant.
Leo felt an unprecedented pressure and almost fell to the ground with a grunt.
The vampires had wisely fled the chamber as soon as the Ark began to open.
Leo steadied himself and gritted his teeth as he approached the Ark.
When he got close enough, he reached into the Ark with both hands.
He pulled out two items that radiated powerful holy energy: the Divine Decree and the Law of Moses.
The moment these items were removed from the Ark, the overwhelming waves of holy light finally ceased.
The chamber returned to its original state, and the Ark became calm once more.
Leo looked down at his hands.
Both the Divine Decree and the Law of Moses were made of soft, smooth fabric covered in ancient Hebrew script that Leo couldn’t understand.
If someone could chant these words properly, their power would surely be immense.
Just as Leo was about to put these treasures into his storage bag, the entire chamber began to shake. Stones fell from above like rain, and it seemed like the cave could collapse at any moment.
Not knowing what was happening, Leo’s expression changed as he used his Spiritual Power to protect himself.
Suddenly, a thunderous boom echoed through the chamber. Soft holy light emanated from the ceiling, filling the entire space.
The Divine Decree and Law of Moses in Leo’s hands also emitted similar holy light, creating a harmonious glow with the light from above.
For a moment, the entire chamber became a pure white, sacred world.
The tremors stopped, and a devout prayer echoed in Leo’s ears: “The Lord says, love your neighbor as yourself; do not kill, do not covet, do not steal. Amen!”
Leo spun around abruptly. As the holy light dimmed, a handsome man dressed in pure white appeared.
Leo narrowed his eyes and asked cautiously, “Who are you?”
The man gave Leo a gentle smile and replied, “I am Archangel Yanar. I come by God’s command to retrieve the holy relics He bestowed upon mankind.”
Understanding what Yanar meant by holy relics, Leo sneered, “Stop pretending. If you want to take something from me, that’s not going to happen!”
Yanar remained unperturbed and continued to look at Leo with a gentle expression. “You need not doubt my identity. Over two thousand years ago, God gave King David the Divine Decree and Law of Moses to help him save The Tribes of Judah and spread God’s grace.”
“Now that humanity no longer needs these items, God wants them back. Young man, do not resist. Submit to God, and you will gain eternal life.”
Leo laughed coldly. “What a load of crap. If you want these things from me, you’ll have to beat me first!”
Yanar smiled softly. “The Lord says if you confess your sins, He will forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.”
“Young man, I won’t fight you. The Divine Decree and Law of Moses are beyond your control. God sent me here to take them back.”
With that, Yanar beckoned towards Leo.
Immediately, the Divine Decree and Law of Moses in Leo’s hands glowed brightly again and exerted a powerful force that pulled them out of his grasp towards Yanar.
Having just obtained these treasures, Leo wasn’t about to let them go so easily. Enraged, he dashed forward and threw a punch at Yanar with lightning speed.
Just as his fist was about to connect with Yanar, Yanar vanished along with the Divine Decree and Law of Moses.
Leo’s senses told him that Yanar hadn’t dodged or fled but had moved to another dimension.
This realization suggested that Yanar might indeed be a legendary angel.
As Leo stood there frustrated, a small white flower drifted down from above.
Instinctively, Leo caught it. The petals bore Yanar’s smiling face, and Leo heard Yanar’s voice: “Young man, I give you this small white flower. It has powerful healing abilities and can even bring someone back to life once.”
As Yanar’s voice faded away, so did his image on the flower petals.
Leo looked at the small white flower in his hand and shook his head with a bitter smile.
Turning around, he glanced at the Ark on the altar.
Without the Divine Decree and Law of Moses, it was just a pile of gold in Leo’s eyes.
For some reason, despite gaining immense wealth, Leo felt like he had come away empty-handed because the angel had taken the Divine Decree and Law of Moses.
Sighing deeply, Leo walked out of the chamber.
Outside, he couldn’t help but chuckle. The vampires were huddled in a corner like sheep who had seen a big bad wolf.
Clearly, Archangel Yanar’s appearance had terrified them.
Seeing Leo emerge unscathed, they quickly rushed over to him.
Prince Devon respectfully asked, “Master, did you get the Divine Decree and Law of Moses?”
“Get them? Hell no! The cooked duck flew away!” Leo bitterly recounted what had happened inside the chamber.
