Cindy flinched slightly immediately when she was tapped by someone, and when she raised up her head to know who the hell was that, she was shocked to see no other person but Alpha Nelson.
“Wow… I had no idea she was this scared, always acting so fearless.” Alpha said mockingly and was trying to control the chuckle that wanted to escape his lips.
“What the hell? Why did you touch me?” Cindy said the fear in her eyes could be clearly seen.
She was about to do something very important, and now Alpha Nelson was already standing in front of her.
What he had come to do, she had no idea.
“Because I wanted to.” Alpha Nelson said, answering the question she had asked previously, and moved closer to her.
As Alpha Nelson moved closer to her, she kept on shifting back as though he was a monster that wanted to strangle her to death.
“Don’t come a damn closer to me!” Cindy said and used her eyes to scan the place to know if they were the center of attention.
“I thought you always wanted me; what changed now?” Alpha Nelson asked and was smiling at her, and she was already getting confused.
Her heart was racing violently and her stomach churned. The more she shifted backwards, the more she tried to stash her phone she had brought out earlier to call someone inside of her bag.
“I don’t understand what you are trying to say.” Cindy said she couldn’t believe Alpha Nelson wanted her after all the humiliations she had received from him.
How could she believe such a thing when Alpha Nelson was glaring at her with disgust and hate while he was talking sweetly?
“What don’t you understand, huh?” Alpha Nelson said, still making more moves close to her.
“What you are talking about, of course; please, I need my privacy right now.” Cindy, who knew what Alpha Nelson was up to, said to him.
“I know what you are up to; you better don’t do anything silly if I don’t want to be treated silly.” Alpha Nelson said and smirked at her.
Confusion filled her eyes; she had no idea how Alpha Nelson knew what she was up to.
She gave him a very confusing gaze, even when she knew deep down she knew what he was talking about.
But how he knew was what made her startled and feel insecure already.
Alpha Nelson has no idea she had also kidnapped Elvis Grace’s younger brother.
Grace had not mentioned it to him, and he was not aware.
“Let me be; I have no business with you for now, since you decide to choose her over me, then watch as I deliver.” Cindy said and let out a very long sigh as she was about to walk out of Alpha Nelson.
But just then he held her hands with his strong grip and pulled her back to face him.
“Walking out from me is fine, but doing what you have in your devilish heart is what is not fine. Be cautious of yourself; be mindful.” Alpha Nelson said and nodded his head.
And just then he left the place, leaving Cindy startled and confused at the same time; her mouth opened agape as she stared at him till he was out of sight.
“Be cautious, be mindful,” these words said by Alpha Nelson replayed in her head as she tried to really understand what he was really talking about.
“Does it mean that he is aware of everything I planned on doing?” Cindy asked herself, and just then she stashed her phone into her bag, not wanting to make the call she intended to make earlier.
**********
Inside the hall, the introduction was done, and the people inside the hall were chatting and having a good time with everything being done already.
Grace sat at a table at the front of the very big, finely decorated hall. It was now that she had time for her phone. Alpha Nelson had excused himself to go somewhere, and she was the only one there.
“Your brother __Elvis has been released.” This was the message that had been sent to her some hours ago.
Grace smiled and looked around, wanting to find Cindy and smirk at her, but instead her eyes met those of Redford, who was doing nothing but staring at her like a moron.
A cold chill ran down her spine; immediately their eyes locked, and she felt a little bit of discomfort and immediately cut the gaze, praying in her heart he wouldn’t come closer to her.
“Damn! What are all these people doing here?” Grace couldn’t help but ask. She was seeing people she didn’t want to see.
At first she had seen Redford with Sophia earlier in the morning, but she had come to realize it was a mere imagination, maybe, because what the hell would Sophia be doing with Redford when her main target was Alpha Nelson?
Meanwhile, that was really an imagination, but she had no idea the silly imagination of hers would come to reality.
“Give this drink to the lady sitting there; tell her it is from me.” Redford said to one of the men serving wine to the person’s present.
“Okay sir.” The man said and took the drink from Redford, even if he was a little bit scared. He knew Grace was the wife of Alpha Nelson, and it was very weird for another man to offer her a drink.
“Don’t you worry, I am a very good friend of hers.” Redford assured the mail with a smile and shoved a paper on his hand, giving an eye to also give it to Grace.
Grace had not raised her head since she had seen Redford; she knew there was a very high tendency that he was still standing there and was staring at her. The focus was on her phone, though her ears were alert.
“This is not the end of things, you know, right? I am sorry to say I have other good plans for you. I hope you understand. My regards.” This was the completion of the text message she had been sent earlier, and damn, it was no other person but Cindy.
It will always be her and no one else.
The man who was in charge of the serving of drinks smiled and walked over to where Grace was seated.
“Hello Miss.” He said to her and waved his right hand. The tray of wine was carried professionally on his left hand.
Grace’s heart skipped; she had thoughtRedford had come to speak with her, but just when she reluctantly flipped her head, she found out it was not him, and just then she was calm again.
“Hello!” She tried to copy the man’s sweet manner of approach when she realized he was one of the wine servers.
“I got a wine from you and this too,” he said, dropping the paper on the table for her.
This was when her dark blue orbs sparkled in confusion. “Wine?” She asked almost in a whisper, confusion and surprise laced in her tone.
“Yes, a wine Miss.” The male server replied, smiling widely.
Grace was still startled. There were several wines on the table she was sitting at; why would she bring her another?
“I didn’t ask for that; I am okay.” Grace said she was dismissing the male server and tried to focus on her phone, but he was persistent.
“I know, miss, but the drink was offered by the man standing over there. He is the one dressed in the black suit.” The man said and used his head to point at Redford, who was just smiling.
“W-hat!” Grave squealed, and her eyes widened in surprise. What was the only thing she could mutter at the moment?
“Yes, he made me come give you the wine, saying you are a very good friend to him.” The male server tried to explain.
“Friend? A very good friend?” Grace couldn’t help but repeat what the man had said.
Alpha Redford kept on smiling and watching Grace and the man he had sent to her, though he had no idea what they were talking about. The background music in the hall won’t let him hear them.
Grace’s eyes followed that of the man, and she was shocked that it was no other but Alpha Redford. Her eyes locked with him again, and she could swear that she loved the feelings.
“I don’t know him; please leave with the drink, please.” Grace said she felt like poking out everything in her tummy; she was really feeling uncomfortable.
The server was about to leave when a voice interrupted. “And who the hell has the nerve to offer my wife a wine? Who is that bastard?” This was Alpha Nelson yelling now, and this made both Grace and the server flip their heads in the direction of his voice.
