“Yes! I love that move; a very great start.” Cindy said in her heart, She was damn happy she could see the tension in Grace immediately their eyes met.
It was good for almost five minutes, and Grace was still not saying anything; she just stood as a dummy on stage.
This alone made Grace and Sophia more happy than ever; their lips curled in a very beautiful smirk as their eyes focused on Grace.
The eyes Cindy gave Grace said were really very tough. She won’t just let Grace rise more than she had ever risen.
The microphone dropping off from Grace’s hands and Grace acting as though she had not seen such a crowd since she was born was something really very disgraceful.
“Damn! What is freaking wrong with me? Why am I acting this way just because of these b*itch’s?” This was really what Grace said in her heart; she had seen both Cindy and Sophia.
Not that Grace saw only Cindy; she also saw Sophia and Alpha Nelson’s parents.
The hall was still in a very deep chaos, as different murmuring, slight talk, and the rest filled the air.
Grace, with the last courage she had, bent down and was about to pick up the microphone that had fallen off her hands, but she was shocked to see Alpha Nelson was already standing beside her, giving her the microphone with a very wide, genuine smile on his face.
The smile on his face was really contagious, and she couldn’t just help but smile back at him as she collected the microphone.
“You all should remain calm while Mrs. Nelson gives us a wonderful introduction of herself.” The man in charge was now with another microphone as he tried to calm the crowd.
Cindy bit her lips immediately when she saw Alpha Nelson giving the microphone to Grace and the smile that was on his face, with very confident eyes.
“Mom, do you think Nelson would leave her for me?” Sophia asked Alpha Nelson’s mom, who was sitting next to her, if they had all come for the event.
“You just have to be calm; with time, all things will change for the better. We are allowing her to introduce herself; it doesn’t mean she has the title to herself.” Alpha Nelson mom assured Sophia.
Sophia nodded reluctantly, not even sure Alpha Nelson would one day look at her. But she just had to be hopeful; all she knew was that she would never give up.
“Good day, you all.” By then Grace had started her introduction, and the hall was now empty-no noise, no side talk-everyone was listening to what the beautiful lady had to tell them.
“We have to find something we need to do for Nelson to change his choice of woman; this is really getting out of hand.” Alpha Nelson’s dad said to his wife, not wanting to listen to what Grace had to say.
They had the mentality that Alpha Nelson had chosen a very poor choice; with all the level of respect and money they had, he went for a very low life.
The fact that they had threatened that they would take the company and every one of his inheritances was a mere threat, and they were very sure Alpha Nelson, their son, knew about it.
“I welcome you all to this grand occasion. I greet everyone’s presence and apologize for my weird attitude earlier. You know, this was really a surprise to me; I really didn’t expect this event to be such a big one.” Grace paused and tried to look at the guest’s face to see if they had turned normal.
But again, her eyes met that of Cindy’s, who had a frown on her face, and she could see the jealousy in her eyes.
“Not everyone is so happy to see me talk on this stage, but I guess that is life.” Grace made this comment with her eyes still on Cindy’s as she smirked and licked her lips.
Grace had forgotten her main aim was to introduce herself officially to the people in the hall, as each one of them was part of the company.
Divine’s company was not just a small company for small business; they were rich was an understatement; they were more than wealthy, even if Sophia’s parents were wealthier.
“As I said earlier, everyone is welcome. I am Grace Valdes Nelson, and I am legally married to Alpha Nelson Divine, the CEO of this very great empire. Not only that, I also own shares in some other boards, and I am very happy that I would be the second chief CEO in this great company. It is a privilege. My special thanks go to my lovely husband, Alpha Nelson Divine, his dad, his mom, and all the staff. I am grateful. Thank you all.” Grace said, and just as she wanted to keep the microphone and go back to her seat, the crowd echoed in applause.
She was impressed; she had nailed it even when her enemies wanted her to look so dumb in front of everyone in the hall, but she was thankful she didn’t let them smirk at her.
Just as she wanted to go back to her seat, Alpha Nelson was already behind her waiting for her to get to him, and immediately she was close to him. Alpha Nelson embraced her to her own surprise; she was supposed to be angry; he did that, but she found herself smiling like a teenager in love with the apple of her eye.
Just when she thought that was all, Alpha Nelson pulled her from the hug, and before you know it, he was kissing her already. It was not just a kiss, but a very deep and passionate kiss that made the clapping in the air grow more intense.
Their tongues were dancing on each other’s mouths, and they were already losing control of themselves.
“Damn! The audacity she has to even mention your name, mom.” This was what Sophia had said to Alpha Nelson’s mother when Grace said her special gratitude goes to them.
“All this would last for a while and not forever.” Alpha Nelson mom said to Sophia, her voice laced with a mixture of hate and disgust.
She hated Grace, and she knew that; it was something she couldn’t hide; it was very obvious, and that was it.
Alpha Nelson’s mom and dad had to support this introduction due to the fact that the company has other rivals, and if these rivals had any idea that they weren’t in support of their son’s marriage, it would pave the way for some kind of win.
Sophia was really very bittered; she just felt like she could just go to the stage and drag Grace down why she made the speech.
“What audacity! Lovely husband?” This was Cindy. She knew Grace was saying all this to make her feel bad and jealous. But she was sure Grace would pay for this.
The kiss Alpha Nelson had offered and Grace had willingly accepted was what made Sophia and Grace want to go crazy.
The affectionate and lovely kiss that lasted for more than three minutes and the fact that the crowd was celebrating them made Sophia stand up from her seat and leave the place she sat; she couldn’t take it anymore; it was really heartbreaking, and the fact she couldn’t do anything about it was really so frustrating.
“Hi, miss beautiful.” Redford said to Sophia as he saw her coming out of the main hall.
Sophia paused and tried to catch a glimpse of the person who had such a husky and deep sweet voice, and just when she flipped her head, her eyes met the most dangerous but calm blue eyes she had ever seen, and she was in love already.
The anger in her vanished, and she tried to replace the scowl in her face with a very wide smile before she could look into the man’s eye.
“Nice to meet you, Miss Beautiful, are you okay?” Redford asked Sophia if he had seen her with a frown face earlier.
Sophia, who was boiling, let out a chuckle as she tried to act okay. “Yes, I am fine; is nothing serious?” Sophia assured Redford with a smile.
“I hope you don’t mind me.” Redford was still making his statement when Sophia came in.
“No! I don’t mind; it is very fine. She said this even when she had no idea what he was about to say.
All she knew was he was handsome, and he looked very rich; his piercing eyes were something she didn’t want to look away from.
“Nice to meet you,” Redford said and stretched his hands for a handshake.
Sophia was quick to accept it, and just as her hands touched his, a cold chill ran down her spine, and her stomach knitted in what she couldn’t understand.
“I can help you achieve what you want; I mean, I can make Alpha Nelson yours if only you would like to work with me. Let’s make a deal.” Redford said, and just then Sophia arched her eyebrows at him, her piercing orbs filled with confusion.
