All this hurtful statement echoed in Grace’s ears as she ran outside, leaving the table where they all sat.
“I am neither in support of this marriage.”
“I can’t publicly announce her as the Divine’s soon-to-be daughter-in-law, not when the elites are all present here.”
“There are so many ladies who are out there, and their parents are elites; why a commoner?”
Grace couldn’t take it anymore, and she had to run outside. She didn’t care if the people inside the hall were staring at her. It was really not her concern.
Grace ran out to the main backyard of the compound; she was going to pour out her tears.
Alpha Nelson followed her to where she had run. He was really not happy that his parents would have to do this to her.
Grace was sobbing so badly; her make-up even got ruined; her dress was really getting wet; she had been crying silently as they said all that unknowingly to Alpha Nelson.
“Please, you don’t have to do this; you don’t have to cry; I am married to you, and that is what matters.” Alpha Nelson said to Grace, taking her to his arms.
Grace just kept sobbing-not even a damn go what he had said.
It was clear that his parents hated Grace, and this was really going to be really hard for her.
But why is Grace sobbing so bitterly? It is not a forever marriage; does that mean she has forgotten already?
Grace pulls herself from Alpha Nelson’s hug, and just then she wipes off her tears.
“Huh? I shouldn’t sob, right? You watch as your parents say such hurtful words in my presence, and I should be happy with all that. Is that what you are trying to say, huh?” Grace growled, damn! She doesn’t give a fuck if is an Alpha.
“You have to calm down; don’t ruin our stay here.” Alpha Nelson said calming, but he was already getting enraged with her outburst.
“You say ruin? Ruin what has already gotten ruined? Does that even make sense to you?” Grace scoffed, her voice filled with anger, and her eyes were read even though she wiped off her tears.
“Let’s go in; you don’t have to walk out of my parents and the elites the way you did; do you know that is really not respectable?” Alpha Nelson dares to say.
“What parents, if I may ask, huh? What parents shouldn’t I walk out on? The same parents of yours that insulted me? I am sorry to say that you are speaking bullshit.” Grace snapped; she had really not been so rude to Alpha Nelson the way she is doing now.
“Don’t you dare speak that way when referring to my parents; you have no idea who they are.” Alpha Nelson growled.
He was trying to make her calm, but he really didn’t let anyone speak badly about him or his parents; he didn’t take it lightly with that person.
“I will do that again and again; they have no right to speak to me the way they did. What are they trying to insist on, huh? You can’t marry me? So let’s cut off the deal. Like, what the heck! I can’t do this, not anymore.” Grace said irritation and disgust laced in her teary tone.
Her heart was really hurt; she couldn’t believe that Alpha Nelson would support what his parents had just done to her.
She felt as though a million sharp knives were piercing her heart; her breath was really rapid.
Just then a message beeped into Alpha Nelson’s phone; he checked his screen and it was his father.
“Come into the hall right now.” This was the message.
“I will be going in right now; you can wait in the car.’ Alpha Nelson said now his voice was calm.
He had heard Grace say they should cut off the deal, and this had made his heart freeze. He couldn’t do that, and he wouldn’t do it.
“I can’t wait in the car; please, I need to go home; I can’t stay in this freaking estate any more minutes. Bye!” Grace said and lifted her long, beautiful dress with her hands as she walked away.
“I will message Gerald right now; he will take you home.” Alpha Nelson said that by then she had disappeared from his sight.
Grace had heard what her husband Alpha Nelson said, but she was not going with Gerald; she would go alone.
Alpha Nelson quickly rushed into the hall to know the reason his father demanded his presence, though his head really didn’t forget what Grace had said earlier.
“Cutting off the contract?” He had told her no one must be aware that the marriage was a contracted marriage.
As he recalled what had happened earlier when they arrived, it was the scene when Grace clearly stated that they are married.
The confidence and pride in her tone when she said it was enough for the media to believe. As he thought of this, he found himself smiling rapidly.
Just then he texted Gerald, and the text read. “My wife is coming out right away; please take her home. Don’t you dare allow her to leave alone or with some cab.”
Gerald received the message from Alpha Nelson, and just then he went to the exit door of the hall to wait for her before he would miss her.
Alpha Nelson will definitely kill him if Grace dares go home without him driving her; he knew Alpha Nelson a lot to know what he was capable of doing.
Grace was heading out of the hall and was about to leave the estate to board a cab, but she was quick to see Gerald, who was standing like an army waiting for her.
She knew he was waiting for her; “Alpha Nelson must have texted him really.” She thought and let out a ragged sigh.
“I will go home alone; just wait for the Alpha; he is yet to be done,” Grace said to Gerald, curving left.
Gerald had really not told her anything before she said this.
“Miss, the Alpha strictly told me to take you home.” Gerald said to Grace, walking beside her.
“I said I can go home just by myself; don’t you understand that?” Grace sneered at him, taking more steps.
“Please, Miss, it was really a strict command from Alpha. I will make sure I drive safely.” Gerald said, seeing how adamant she was.
He really has no idea of what had happened inside the hall, but he could see the scowl and bitterness in Grace’s tone as she talked.
He had really never seen her this way and wondered what had happened; it had just been a few minutes when they arrived, and she was already leaving.
“I told your Alpha that I can go home; you have nothing to worry about; you can wait for him.” Grace said, trying not to transfer aggression. Gerald had nothing to do with what happened inside the Divine’s estate.
And also, he was a nice person.
They were now at the big, huge golden gate leading to the outside part of the estate, and yet Grace was still adamant to Gerald’s offer.
She was boiling; the audacity of Alpha Nelson had to spit rubbish; she wouldn’t dare enter his car, not for anything, but rather she would trek home.
Gerald couldn’t drag her to come into the car nor could she allow her to go alone, and he was really dumbfounded by the situation.
He quickly texted Alpha Nelson and told him the situation at hand. He rushed to where the black Lamborghini Aventador was packed at a very special car lot inside the Divine’s estate.
He wanted to follow any cab Grace was to enter, but before he could revise the car and drive out to follow the car, just for her protection, Grace was nowhere to be found. He had lost her, and now he just drove to the normal road that leads to Alpha Nelson’s estate.
Grace was standing at the gate; she was just heading to where she could get a car when a car drove and stopped where she stood.
Not even thinking, she told the man her destination, and the man smiled, telling her to get in.
She quickly got in; her mind was very hazy; she was not even thinking straight or trying to know the kind of cab she entered. She just wanted to go home, and that was it.
Her head was pounding with headaches; what Alpha Nelson’s parents said to her was just hard to let go. Was she trash that someone could not get married to?
All this was making her want to go mad, and just then her phone beeped with a message; it was Gerald.
“Miss, please, where are you? I couldn’t find you around immediately when I came out.” This was the message.
Before she could even give him a reply, the phone was snatched from her hands by one of the men. In the car, and just then she saw a hand on her neck,
She was sitting at the front; she had no idea someone was at the back of the car.
The man used a handkerchief to place it on her nose. After inhaling the stuff, she didn’t even have an idea of what it was; she felt weak and was unconscious before she could even scream.
The man had really planned their movements.
Now she was taken by them to an unknown place; not even Gerald or even Alpha Nelson can call her now.
Damn! Who had planned to kidney Grace, huh? Read and find out what happens next.
