the Divine’s family party

Book:A NIGHTSTAND WITH THE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA Published:2024-11-9

After the reporters were done questioning, Alpha Nelson and Grace walked into the mansion, their hands intertwined and their presence demanding attention and power.
Getting into the hall, the bright light made everywhere look so cool and beautiful. The hall was decorated with flowers and balloons.
It was indeed very beautiful. The Divine’s family held this party every year; this is a party for the elite and men of high standard where they come to party and enjoy themselves.
When Grace and Alpha Nelson entered, the hall was really big; some elites had already arrived and were having a good time, drinking, dancing, and chanting; there was clicking of glasses too.
The music seems to make the place very noisy and hard to take in what someone has to say.
Grace’s heart was pounding in her chest; she couldn’t help but roll her eyes all over the hall.
It was really not a party for the commoner; the dressing of the people was really awesome, a testament to their wealth.
Some of the guests came to Alpha Nelson, greeting him warmly, and they had some conversations together too.
“We came here to see your parents, right?” Grace asked Alpha Nelson, her lips curved slightly.
“Yes, we did come to see my parents.” Alpha Nelson said, scanning the hall with his eyes in search of his parents.
He had even told Gerald to go check around for them, and still he wasn’t back. His parents’ estate was really crowded; that was how it used to be every year this party was celebrated.
“You never told me we were coming for your family’s party, Alpha.” Grace scoffed; she was already bubbling with rage but tried to maintain herself.
“You have to calm down; this was supposed to be yesterday, you know, right? My parents wanted to meet you at first before publicly announcing you as their daughter-in-law.” Alpha Nelson said to Grace that he could sense when she was getting angry.
They were shouting as they talked, but it wasn’t noticeable that the music was really loud.
“What?” Grace gasped, though Alpha Nelson, who was busy trying to find his parents, didn’t even hear her.
“Sir, I have found them; they are in the front part of the hall, with some elites.” Gerald reported to Alpha Nelson.
Alpha Nelson was sure the cameramen who were inside the hall had really not seen him; that would be another round of pictures and videos.
Grace was really now lost in thought; she couldn’t understand; she was to be seen at first before publicly announcing her as a daughter-in-law. Seriously?
That was really how any family who was wealthy always did; they didn’t like it when their son or daughter settled for a commoner.
“Let’s go see my parents now.” Alpha Nelson said to Grace and used his hands to tap her, which made her yank out of her thoughts.
“Huh?”
“Are you okay? You look worried.” Alpha Nelson observed, and Grace just nodded her head, her eyes obviously showing she was lying.
Grace held Alpha Nelson’s hands, which he was stretching out for her to hold.
They walked gracefully to the aisle at the center of the hall, and just then flashes of cameras filled their eyes as they walked in.
It was a sign of respect for Alpha Nelson, since he was a DIVINE FAMILY.
Grace felt her stomach churning and her heart was pounding faster this time; she tried not to look at the ground as she walked in.
All eyes were on her; if eyes happened to be nice, she would have been dead due to countless piercings.
Alpha Nelson knew how Grace could be; he just kept rubbing her hands tightly.
After so much light flashing-not just that the hall was filled with murmuring and hailing-she couldn’t really understand what was going on.
She realized that the elites available were really many. It was as though they had come from different countries.
“Wow, who is she?”
“Is she an elite like us?”
“She is indeed beautiful, at least.”
“I never knew Alpha Nelson was married.”
“Is she his wife?”
“She is mesmerizing; they look good together.”
This was really what rented the air, and some Grace didn’t hear them say.
They arrived at where Alpha Nelson’s parents were seated, and just then the noise reduced a bit, and the man responsible for controlling the music instruments lowered the music too.
The music was now in every humming low tone, so that people could easily hear what others had to say, though the vibes were still there.
“Mom, Dad, nice to see you again.” Alpha Nelson said to his parents and hugged them slightly.
Some Elites were sitting with them, though a seat was available for Alpha Nelson and Grace.
“Good evening, Ma, Good evening, sir. Nice to meet you both.” Grace said and smiled at them.
She was really so nervous; the eyes the elite available there threw at her were really not nice at all.
Alpha Nelson Divine proceeded to greet the elites too, who smiled warmly, but Grace’s own differs.
It was obvious that they don’t like her, even if Alpha Nelson had not introduced her yet.
Some might know her, while some might not; it was really possible since she did have a wedding with Alpha Nelson, just a contract-signed deal.
Alpha Nelson adjusted the seat for Grace to sit down, for taking his own seat, and when they were settled, Alpha Nelson decided to introduce her to everyone.
“This is my wife and the in-law of the great Divine’s family; I hope you all welcome her.” Alpha Nelson said, pointing at Grace, who really wanted the ground to swallow her.
This was when Alpha Nelson’s parents noticed her presence and flipped their heads to her; immediately she could see a very high level of disappointment, dissatisfaction, and disdain in their eyes.
Even when she had tried to greet them when she arrived, they really acted as though no one had greeted them.
“Nice to meet you all; I am so happy to be here and a Divine family too.” Grace said, smiling at them, though her voice was really not in a happy aura.
The way they have treated her, just as at the first meeting, made her feel as though she was no one to them.
Though she tried to make things harder than they are already.
“What are you trying to say, son?” The woman was really dressed in a very beautiful dress; she really looked wealthy; her bracelets, precious stones, and all the accessories she wore were pure gold.
She was really a very beautiful woman, even with her slightly wrinkled face, through her eyes showed pure hatred.
“Doesn’t that mean that she had not seen a picture of me or even seen me in the media? Why does she look so shocked seeing me?” Grace asked in her brain and gulped down, hardly putting her face downward.
She also had seen the woman’s picture hung on Alpha Nelson’s sitting room while she had quickly recognized her.
“Mom? What do you think I am saying? I said this is my wife, the one I married.” Alpha Nelson said he knew how. is mother could be, and Grace was really suffocating now, and he doesn’t like seeing her pain.
“You mean she is the wife she married to? Who is she, and what surname does she bear? I can’t take her for my daughter-in-law.” Mrs. Divine, Alpha Nelson mother, clearly stated.
“Is she an Elite? You don’t just bring a commoner and say you married her son.” His father said to him.
“Please Dad! Just stop this; you and mom are just meeting my wife for the first time, and you are doing this.” Alpha Nelson growled.
“Son, you have to wake up; there are so many ladies out there in class and their parents are elites; why not choose any?” His mother said her voice was laced with a mixture of hatred and disdain, as though she had issues with Grace before now.
“Mom, just stop this; I am married to her, and it is legal; you and dad have to accept that.” Alpha Nelson was really losing his composure.
Grace just sat on her seat, shivering as though she were caught up in the rain.
“Then we are sorry, son; we can’t announce publicly that she is the son-in-law of the Divine’s family, not when everyone present here are elites,” his mom said.
“Do you not support marriage?” Alpha Nelson asked his mom
“YES.” She said boldly, not even minding the fact that Grace was right there.
“Dad! Are….” Alpha Nelson was not even done when his father came in.
“Neither do I support this marriage.”
Just then Grace stood up and ran out of the table, heading out with tears falling in her eyes.
Alpha Nelson stood up and gave her a chase.
Read and find out what happens next… Alpha Nelson parents and the elites are not in support of the marriage.
What happens to Grace now?
