Sorry but I can’t go

Book:A NIGHTSTAND WITH THE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA Published:2024-11-9

“I don’t think I can go.” Grace scoffed in a very calm voice.
Alpha Nelson arched an eyebrow and looked at her in confusion. “You don’t think you can do what?” He asked with fury in his tone, not really observant.
“I need some time; I don’t think I can meet your family now, though I will.” Grace said she was trying to end the conversation, but he still persisted.
“It is my family I am talking about here; you don’t have any choice, you know, right?” Alpha Nelson snapped.
Grace was really not comfortable going to see Alpha Nelson parents; she wanted time. She didn’t understand her feelings, but her instinct didn’t want to.
“Get ready by tomorrow; we will be leaving, and that is final.” Alpha Nelson sneered; he was getting angry already.
“Fine, I will.” She said, She knew she couldn’t do anything; she was married to Alpha Nelson, and sometimes she was enraged that he could order her around.
Yes, he does. That was in the deal; he had her till after the contract had expired.

The next day, Grace had woken up as early as 4:00am in the morning; the weather was really cold and the whole city.
Alpha Nelson was still fast asleep. Grace had a really terrible nightmare, and this was what made her wake up so early.
Her phone buzzed immediately. She stood up to go to the bathroom; she quickly took it, and she saw her mother’s name flash on the screen.
Wow, she was shocked; her mother had really not called her since she arrived; it was just her brother Elvis.
Alpha Nelson had promised to buy a house for her mom and brother Elvis; he was still on it.
“Good morning, mom.” Grace stuttered as she spoke; immediately she had picked up the call.
“Elvis is really sick; he has been having a very severe fever for two days now.” Grace’s mother said to her from the other line that her voice was really teary.
“What, and I didn’t know about this? You are just telling me now, mom.” Grace said she was beginning to sound very nervous.
“I never knew it was something serious; please, I need money to take him to the hospital by early morning.” Her mother said to her.
Sometimes Grace wondered if she was really her mom or if she just adapted.
Her mother has just always cared about Elvis and not her. She was just interested in the money she brought home for the family.
Grace was really not jealous, but it was really very disheartening. If it were her that was sick, maybe her mom would neither call nor even come to the hospital to see her.
“I will come take Elvis to the hospital by morning; just make sure he is fine.” Grace said to her mom and ended the call before she could say anything else.
**********
The early morning sun woke Grace up. She had really slept again after hearing her mom say Elvis was damn sick.
She was in a whirlpool big though when she slept off.
“Damn!” Grace sneered immediately; she struggled to open her eyes due to the sun that had found its way into the master bedroom.
She had just told her mom she would come to take her brother to the hospital, and she was still at home.
She hadn’t even told Alpha Nelson yet; she darted her eyes to where he normally sleeps and found out he was not on the bed.
Rushing into the bedroom, she saw him stepping out with his watery body and a towel tied around his waist. He smells nice; his cleanser was really an expensive one.
“We are leaving soon; please get ready.” He told Grace. This was really weird; he just started acting weird recently.
Grace stopped right on track and yanked her head backward, but he was already going closer to the mirror.
“I can’t go today; I got an emergency call, and I have to go take my brother to the hospital, please.” Grace said to him, and he was totally enraged.
“Hospital, you mean? What emergency call? Is this the excuse you want to give now, huh?” Alpha Nelson barked.
“This is not an excuse; please just bear with me. I have to go to take my brother to the hospital; we can shift the visit to some other time.” Grace said it straightly.
“Okay, that is fine. I will tell Gerald to accompany you to your mom’s house.” He said and continued combing his hair, sparing her no glance.
For a moment, Grace was startled; she was not expecting him to just agree to what she said just like that.
“Okay, thanks for understanding.” Grace muttered and shrugged get-should as she walked into the bedroom.

A few minutes later, Grace was done and ready to leave. She had not heard Alpha Nelson say anything to her, apart from his last statement when she told him she couldn’t go.
“I transferred some money to your account; you can use it for the bill.” Alpha Nelson said while on his laptop on the bed. He was really not going to work today.
Grace was trying to comb her long hair when she heard Alpha Nelson saying those words.
Reluctantly, she rolled her eyes to the bed, gulping down the saliva in her throat. She thanked him. “Thanks, really appreciated.” She said, and she could see his face was really blank; she could state his real emotions.
********
A few minutes later she was gone with Gerald; she just hoped that Alpha Nelson came around soon.
Just as she left, Alpha Nelson was still on his laptop a few hours after Grace had left.
Just then, he heard the crack of the door, and when he tried to know why Grace had come back home again, because he knew no one dares come into his room without prior permission.
Just as he raised an eyebrow to see who the hell was that, his eye locked with that of a very familiar woman.
Like what the fuck! How did she get in? She was dressed almost half naked.
Read and find out who this familiar woman is and what she was doing in Alpha Nelson’s room.
