make sure no one finds out our marriage is based on a contract

“At first, you have to let no one know that this marriage is a contract marriage-no one, not even your mother, friend, or any relative.” Alpha Nelson told Grace, who was staring at him in confusion.
“Why? I thought this was just _” She was trying to make a statement when he chipped in.
“You have to listen to me when I talk; nobody is allowed to know about this; you have to play along till the contract expires.” He said his voice in a serious tone.
Grace gasped, her eyes in total confusion, and it was obvious due to her facial expressions.
“That is fine; I have heard you, Alpha.” She said her voice was laced with confusion and anger. Alpha Nelson sometimes was very commanding.
“And also, you don’t dare to fall in love with me as this marriage progresses; no falling in love, no matter what.” He said his attitude was cold, just as his piercing orbs.
“Yes, Alpha,” she said immediately, not allowing her voice to show how she felt.
Like for real? He doesn’t want her to fall in love with him. But was treating her like a queen? What if she was already falling for him? This was really going to be tough for Grace.
“That is okay, and also know that if you should say anything concerning this marriage as being a contracted one, if not, you will be responsible for any damages you will cost me.” He said, and this made her more confused and scared at the same time.
“Damages?” She found her mouth asking as she arched an eyebrow to study his face.
“That is all; you just have to play Smart and everything will be perfect.” He paused and stared at her dark green orbs. “NO FALLING IN LOVE.” He said again, his eyes cold and detached, and Grace felt like choking.
She could see in his eyes that he was really not saying that with his full chest, but in just a blink of an eye, she saw his cold eyes and serious face.
“N_oted Alpha.” She said her voice coming out in a breaking whisper.
“Good.” He said, and just then the car remained silent; just the engine and noises from other cars on the major road could be heard.
Grace was heartbroken; she didn’t know why, but she was. Was she really falling for Alpha Nelson already? Just days of signing a contract marriage with him? That was a very hard question she couldn’t answer, even to herself.
The low background music from the car was heard till they got to Grace House. This was after a few minutes of driving.
Immediately they got to where Grace was going to alight; she immediately opened the door and was rushing down, not even glancing at her husband.
“Not in so much hurry, love,” Alpha Nelson said, holding her hands.
She flipped her head, and her eyes met his gaze, but she quickly cut it off.
“Sorry, Alpha, is there something you would love to tell me?” She said she was trying to hide the impatience in her tone.
“Yes, but first of all, I want to correct you on something.” He voiced.
“Yes, sure, Alpha, I am all ears.” Grace uttered, wondering what he wanted to say this time.
“I am your husband now, so calling me Alpha is weird, you know right.” He said and paused, studying her face, which was bland.
“What the fuck, this man is really something else; what does he want?” Grace said in her head.
He was just the one that told her not to fall in love, right?
Grace hummed to what Alpha Nelson had to say; she couldn’t really
“I will come take you home tomorrow; get your things ready; I am sure you will inform your mother and brother too.” He said not bothering about the look she gave him.
She gulped down the saliva in her mouth. “Okay, my love.” She said, and this made Alpha Nelson blush rapidly.
Damn! Why was he? He just said no love. Grace had not seen him do that; she didn’t look at his face as she said that.
“Have a wonderful night.” He said to her, and she murmured something he couldn’t hear before closing the door after she had been released from his strong grasp.
Alpha Nelson told the person driving to ignite the car after he was sure Grace had gone into their building.
The car zoomed off, and they were off to Alpha Nelson Mansion, where he lives and was about to bring in his Luna.
“Stop right there and now!” Grace’s mother’s voice sprang on the air, causing her to halt instantly.
“Good evening, mom.” Grace managed to greet her mom, who now scolded her and howled insults at her all because of the bastard cheater called Victor, because he was the one assisting them in all their needs.
But you see, people can be so cruel and wicked; everything happening now was caused and planned by Victor, but he had the guts to call her slut and other names?
Not just that, he told her to pay every single thing they had collected from him.
“Keep your greetings to yourself, you nonentity of a child!” Her mother growled at her.
“Mum, I am sorry. I am so tired, I have to go.”
“Shut that freaking thing you call a mouth.” Her mother yelled and yanked her hair backwards, which caused her to scream; it was as though her scalp was about to be uprooted.
“Mum!” Grace screams in pain.
“What the fuck did I see on the Internet today, huh? So you are married? How and when? When did you get married to Alpha Nelson, huh?” Grace’s mother asked her, searching her hands to check for the wedding ring.
“Mom, that is really very complex to explain right now; just know that we are married, that is all I can say.” She said to her mother, She wishes she could just scream at her.
Her mother was getting on her nerves lately, and she was sick and tired of the rubbish.
“What? You talk to me in such a manner?” She yelled, wanting to start beating her up, even at her age.
“Mom, mom, please, Alpha Nelson said you should inform you that he is coming here to take me to his home and you and Elvis also.” Grace said to her, covering her nose, Her mother stings with a strong alcohol smell.
This was her usual attitude: drinking a lot of alcohol and getting drunk.
A smile creeped into her mother’s lil as she heard what Grace had said. Grace expected that.
Who wouldn’t be happy? Everyone knows how wealthy he was, even if he doesn’t always relate with people.
“Very good, very good. Now you are being a good child; go in and have a good night’s sleep.” Her mother said to her, smiling.
Grace let out a ragged breath and sigh and worked tirelessly to her room.
At first, her mother had thought that it was just a fake act after seeing them on the internet, so she confronted Grace to get the truth out of her mouth.
After hearing what the truth is, she was happy; now her daughter was going to be giving them enough money, and this was her joy.
Damn! She couldn’t wait to take as much alcohol as she wanted.
But there was something bothering her about Alpha Nelson-something only she knew.
