Although she couldn’t confirm if Ulric had reconnected with Rosalind, Sirena knew well the influence Rosalind had on him.
She hoped that the person by Ulric’s side wasn’t Rosalind, but someone else.
Any other woman would be easier to deal with than Rosalind! It wasn’t that Rosalind was particularly capable, but Ulric was truly devoted to her.
Sirena was certain that Ulric would never invest so much time and effort into another woman in his lifetime, so as long as it wasn’t Rosalind, it would be fine.
Glancing at her watch, she realized it was time for her to leave.
Sirena changed into a well-tailored women’s suit that made her look more competent and imposing. Returning to Northville City and W Group, she needed to assert her dominance and show everyone who the real winner was.

In the W Group conference room, Ulric was listening to the investment department manager report on project progress. Occasionally, he would frown slightly, and his assistant would immediately take note of this.
This generally indicated that he was somewhat dissatisfied or that there were shortcomings in that part of the report.
Dressed in a custom black suit, he sat at the head of the table, listening silently with pursed lips.
This made the people reporting very nervous, fearing any mistakes that might displease the president.
“Knock knock-”
A sudden knock on the door broke the silence in the conference room.
“Enter.”
Ulric said just one word.
The door opened to reveal Cedric.
He walked straight to Ulric’s side and leaned down to speak softly, “The chairman has directly appointed Lawyer Reynolds as the chief lawyer of W Group. The HR department just received the notice, and Lawyer Reynolds will arrive in half an hour for a briefing.”
Ulric’s handsome face darkened.
He knew his parents wouldn’t stay idle; they were bound to make a move.
“Tell HR to ignore it and proceed as usual.”
“What about Lawyer Reynolds’ office…”
The chief lawyer’s office was independent. Since Sirena resigned, legal affairs were handled by other lawyers, and the office was reassigned.
Now Sirena was returning as chief lawyer, which put the current head of legal affairs in an awkward position.
“Without HR’s signature confirmation, they are not an employee of W Group.” Ulric said this without any hesitation, maintaining a strictly businesslike attitude.
Cedric immediately nodded, “Understood.”
After he left, the meeting continued.
When the report concluded, Ulric coldly said, “Is this all you have for due diligence on the project? You can’t even provide an accurate revenue rate and instead gave me a range. Are you expecting me to do your due diligence for you?”
“Mr. Walters, give us some time. We will definitely-”
“This project is indefinitely suspended.” Ulric didn’t listen to his explanation and stood up directly. “Meeting adjourned.”
The manager in charge of the project stood there stunned for a moment but still tried to catch up with him.
“Mr. Walters, Mr. Walters, please listen! This meeting was called too suddenly. I’ve already sent people for due diligence; we’ll have accurate data soon.”
Under normal circumstances, Ulric would ignore such pleas completely.
But this time, he paused and looked up and down at the project manager with his dark eyes. His voice was low, “There are countless projects hoping for W Group’s investment every day. I don’t have time to give this project a second chance.”
