After hearing what Flynn said, Paulina Johnston burst into laughter: “My girl, did you hear what this idiot is saying? We, begging him?”
“Hahaha… I can’t even, I’m dying of laughter. He’s barely hanging on himself, yet he’s still talking tough!”
“Listen, Flynn,” Paulina Johnston vowed vehemently, “if there ever comes a day when I ask you for something-no, forget asking, if I even give you an extra glance, may I meet a terrible fate!”
Madeline shook her head and sighed deeply.
Flynn’s words meant only one thing-my current predicament is temporary. The Kaur family, just wait. It won’t be long before I make you all respect me!
I will work twice as hard as anyone. I want to make you, Madeline, regret the divorce.
I want you kneeling before me, crying your eyes out, regretting leaving me.
Ah! Flynn, oh Flynn, don’t you realize that to me, your words are nothing but a belly-laugh joke.
Hilarious!
Childish!
Daydreaming!
Not to mention with your intelligence, you’ll never have the capability; and even if you did make a comeback, you’ll just be a millionaire.
By then, I’ll have married Nathan and become the wealthy Mrs. Fletcher of the Fletcher family, having borne several children for them. My father-in-law, to reward me, will have given me mansions worth billions.
What will you use to slap me in the face?
In your dreams?
Do you know what despair is? You’ll see it when Nathan proposes to me-just look in the mirror!
Flynn, you are truly pitiful, pathetic, and laughable!
“Fine.” Flynn sneered coldly, his eyes frosty.
This was the second time he had asked this question.
He had given the Kaur family two chances.
He had done his utmost!
And he was now sure that Paulina Johnston would no longer bother him.
He was completely relieved.
“Did you hear that, my girl? He’s given up, the loser has given up.”
“He didn’t expect me to be so resolute, and now his heart is dead, haha… He won’t bother you anymore.”
“Remember, if you see him, just curse him out, he’s not worth your sympathy!”
“Oh, right, didn’t you ask the second in command for an invitation? Did you get it?”
Madeline nodded, deliberately raising her voice: “I got it, but the second in command made a condition-the entire Kaur family can go, but they must bring my dad.”
“Because only my dad can keep Flynn in check to prevent him from going mad and biting people, which would anger the higher-ups.”
Upon hearing this, Paulina Johnston’s eyes widened in fury: “Listen to that! Even the second in command knows what Flynn is like, the whole city of Niarak knows his disgrace!”
“Alright then, when the Kaur family attends, we’ll see how Lilia and Layla slap Flynn’s face!”
In her view, when the rivals in business meet, sparks will fly. Flynn is just stubborn because he doesn’t believe Layla has a hundred billion in funds.
Once Layla shows the funds openly, he will be left speechless.
Flynn, having heard enough, hung up the phone, thoroughly annoyed by Paulina Johnston’s endless chatter.
Since Uncle Matteo is also going the day after tomorrow, he would see him then.
“My girl, see? He’s got nothing to say now, haha…” Paulina Johnston shook her phone, her smile splitting to her ears.
Madeline just gave a bitter smile and shook her head.
In her eyes, Flynn was now nothing more than a stray dog.
Despite all his efforts, the Kaur family hadn’t accepted him. He was completely disheartened and utterly despairing.
He was probably hiding somewhere, secretly wiping his tears right now.
But who could he blame?
He had only himself to blame!
Ah!
There are countless men in the world, many of whom rely on others’ power, but she had never before met a man like Flynn, who was so limitless and dared to offend any big shot.
“What are you and your daughter doing in the yard?”
Matteo Kaur, having just woken up, appeared at the door.
Paulina Johnston quickly deleted the call log, smilingly said, “My phone died, so I used yours to search for a fitness video and followed along for a bit.”
“Oh, you should really start exercising; you’ve been to the bathroom six times today, and your stomach has gotten significantly bigger.” Matteo Kaur nodded without giving it much thought, then turned to Madeline and said:
“Don’t just focus on work, try talking to Flynn more. It’s been two months; how come there’s been no progress?”
“I’m eager to hold a grandchild!”
A flash of impatience crossed Madeline’s face as she replied softly, “Understood.”
Have a child with Flynn? I’d rather have a C-section!
“I know Flynn has become very capable, and you’re struggling with that gap,” Matteo Kaur advised earnestly.
“But Flynn is not arrogant, and he doesn’t look down on people, so don’t feel burdened.”
In his view, after Flynn demonstrated his capabilities, Madeline couldn’t handle the significant shift. She remembered how she had previously shamed Flynn and now felt too embarrassed to face him.
Flynn looks down on me?
Oh, my dear father!
You’re so naive!
All of this is an illusion!
Flynn is just a clown buoyed by others!
Forget it, explaining this now is a waste of breath. Flynn will soon show his true colors, and then my father will see how useless Flynn really is.

Jade Dragon Mountain.
Flynn had just put his phone in his pocket when a man approached him.
It was Montgomery Crane, whom he had met on his way up the mountain.
He strode heavily, each step causing the ground to tremble and the surrounding fallen leaves to swirl and rustle loudly.
His gaze was sharp as a knife, bearing down on Flynn with immense pressure.
As he approached, Montgomery Crane glanced at Flynn and coldly commanded, “What’s your name?”
Flynn, already in a bad mood and bothered by the hostility, replied curtly, “Flynn.”
After speaking, Flynn intended to wander around nearby, not wanting to engage further.
However, Montgomery Crane reached out and stopped him, his presence intensifying as he directly asked, “What do you do for work? Or, should I say, from which family of heirs are you?”
Flynn paused, frowning, “Are you investigating me?”
Montgomery Crane’s gaze hardened, his tone cold and condescending, “I just want to see if you’re worthy of being my rival.”
“If you are a senior executive at a global company, a direct descendant of a powerful family, or the son of a minister, then we could be friends, and I might even let you have Callie Pearce.”
“If you’re just a nobody…”
“Are you sure you’re using a pig’s trotter to block my way?” Flynn interrupted, staring coldly at Montgomery Crane’s outstretched arm.
Montgomery Crane frowned slightly at this challenge.
Could he really be someone important?
As he hesitated whether to back down, several rowdy men ran up behind him.
“Montgomery Crane, you grace us with your presence at Jade Dragon Mountain without a heads-up.”
“That way, we could’ve… hmm? What are you doing here?” The lead thug’s face fell as he spotted Flynn.
Montgomery Crane frowned and turned to the thuggish bald man, asking, “You know him?”
The bald man sneered, “Know him? This guy beat up our boss and smashed our clubhouse. The Crimson Dragon Gang and he are sworn enemies!”
After saying this, he introduced Montgomery Crane.
Flynn had been thinking about buying Jade Dragon Mountain from the Crimson Dragon Gang. Realizing the man was Devin Donovan’s lackey, he stood his ground.
“An instructor from the Blade Special Forces?” Montgomery Crane, after hearing the bald man’s introduction, smirked dismissively:
“I heard Mr. Pearce hired a Semi-Grandmaster, and I wanted to meet him today.”
“It’s unexpected to encounter him here.”
“Kid, don’t think that just because you’re the chief instructor at The Edge that you can overlook me, a peak Grandmaster.”
“Haha, it’s quite peculiar! The things I disdain seem to be your tools for showing off!”
